right now i'm at 17k for the month in sales, mostly phone accessories

To get those type of sales you must be putting 1000's a month into marketing realistically.

What are you doing to get customer traffic not just to your site, but ready to buy? I've done the basic Facebook and google ads, but anything additional you suggest? I'm thinking of getting with Instagram influencers they said that's good too.

A lot of info in this thread is laughable....but although people charge STACKS to release this info (no one will give you the REAL DEAL for free)...once i get this Youtube channel crackin, Im bout to release ALL this shit. Ive been dropshippin for the last 4-5 years so I know all the ins and outs. Most of these channels sugar coat ish. Especially when I see people talkin bout Alibaba, etc. Alibaba is better for FBA or Private Label. I would NEVER run a dropship business with Alibaba being a supplier.

nope i didn't drop a penny in advertising for that site. for that site, my turntupboutique.com site, lelesbeautyplus.com, and raptortechaudiosystems.com i don't pay for advertising. SEO work, and an auto poster program that continously posts on all social media platforms, twitter, facebook, instagram, pinterest, etc. is what brings in the traffic.

the only site i run ads for is my pc site.:

now with the site i ran ads on through facebook and google i finished out the month at 318k which was well below what i did black friday last year which was 584k but still not bad....

How do customers react to the long ass shipping times?
as long as you clearly state the shipping time expectation there's no issue. the customer will know this upfront.

on my high ticket items though i pay the extra for DHL shipping so it gets there in 7 days. accessories, little stuff just regular epacket is about 2-3 weeks.

Are you still going to do a video series?

Yo man, thanks for all the info.

I watched your video Don and Im not knockin your video famo but you're method of dropshipping wont last (not saying you arent currently successful) but you're not considering returns and I heard you mentioned 3% for an Amazon fee. Basically they way to be spot on for Amazon fees is to take your selling price and x's that by 0.85. Ill break down it down

item cost : $79.99
item tax: $6.60

All my suppliers offer free shipping over $35.00 so I wont include shipping fees

Total item cost: $86.59

Now I list that item on Amazon for $149.99

Amazon fees: $149.99 x 0.85 = $127.49

$127.49 - $86.59 = $40.90

Total profit on that sale would be $40.90

A couple things for new people to understand

Amazon is cracking down heavily on NEW seller accounts. You MUST keep your metrics clean. Lets say you make $1000 in sales. Although they payout every 2 weeks, for new accounts, they will HOLD $900 of your money and release $100. They do this to protect themselves in case anyone makes claims against you. This will happen for about 6 months until you have proved that you are a legitimate seller.

Thats important because with dropshipping you need capital and if you're putting out 10k a month in CC debt but only getting 2k back. Some people cant sustain that.

In your example Don, I see you doing hypothetical profit margins (i know you were just sending out examples) but I would NEVER spend 1k with a potential $40 profit. Personally I shoot for a 15-20% ROI. For items that cost me $100-$300 Ill settle for a 10-12% ROI.

All it takes is for 1 person to get a big ticket item from you and YOU KNOW the item was delivered and they file an A-Z claim. Amazon makes you jump through HOOPS to prove it was delivered aand a simple tracking number doesn't always suffice and boom, they close the case, award the customer their money back and with 1 A-Z claim, Amazon will suspend your account (in most cases for new accounts)

So one other important thing is to make sure your supplier is dropship friendly. I remember I had an item that was HOT. Sold a grip of them shits. Started to process the orders with the supplier and got shipping details for a few but they canceled all the rest because they KNEW I was dropshipping with multiple shipping addresses and names. That almost fucked up my metrics with a grip of late shipments/invalid tracking BUT I have a way to avoid all that ish and put it to use. Lucky it all worked out and just stuck with my go to suppliers.

Again, Im just scratching the surface and once I get everything lined up, I will release all the details as well as many other hustles Ive done and currently doing.

need more n depth info on steps to getting started and finding those profitable items to sell.

if any of you want in on the dropshipping groups on facebook just shoot me a fr on facebook = quinton cook

a video i did for my customers i am a supplier to

Looked for you on Facebook, Quinton but there are tins of Quinton Cooks. How do I find you?

this thread is useless if your not telling us how to get started or how to find those profitable products :dunno:

i can't tell you what to sell. i don't do the "niche of the day" selling like most that you see do on ig, fb, youtube, etc... to me that's the equivalent of chasing your own tail. every time your sales go slump you're looking for the next best thing. find a product you're comfortable with selling. look around and see how other people are selling it and figure out what you can do to improve upon what they are doing.

i believe in you finding a product and just building it up. with that said you can practically sell anything you want. it's simply how you spin it.

sorry been running around nonstop the past few weeks but the youtube channel has been up if you didn't know it yet.

hey folks, i started a youtube channel and part of it's dedicated to ecommerce/dropshipping using a website. no courses to buy, not selling anything just dropping information and how-to's. i drop new videos every wednesday:

i've been doing it for almost a year now with one of my sites and it's been nothing but good.

www.raptortechaudiosystems.com

of course you gotta vet the supplier and see how they do first but it can be done if done right.

Going to test dropshipping with a product that I know sells fast. One problem...how do I get around the retailer putting the receipt in the box? Any trick to that?
