It wasn't people it was ME. If the ACA hadn't passed a when it did where my employer had to offer healthcare, I would have died. I was gone from BGOL for over a year when I got sick. "Leave us alone" implies we aren't affected by the decisions the people who are elected make if we sit out the process. That is not the case. We can sit out and let the GOP take power, but when they pass laws that disenfranchise us, we are still subject to them.

So when they end health care, privatize social security, or reverse laws allowing chemicals in our food and water, wreck havoc on the environment, remove employee and consumer protections, we are still caught up in it. We're just enablers because we choose not to attempt to stop any of it.
