Board Changes - PM to all members

So we'll have a bullshit Main Board but the "Main Board X" will be set up how the our current "Main Board" is right now? My opinion is having too many sub-boards will make shit difficult to find. Either way, I'll still be here. Been here since 2001 so I'm not going nowhere

The new design will need traffic to go through it to get to the old board.
If you can directly go to the old board, your intended build up of the new board won't see the traffic to attract new members.

I think this good.

Of course it needs some fine tuning

but the OVERALL plan is SOLID

@HNIC has given us a foundation and a forum to do great things

from discussion, debate, brotherhood, business opportunities, and content.

for YEARS.

We should unite and make this work.

Don't think of it as he is TAKING AWAY something.

He is EXPANDING IT.

And in a way I like how this will be like a internet speakeasy...

@fonzerrillii (among many others) been making the sub forum POP for a minute and many other in the the forums we don't need to name right now.

But you KNOW WHO ARE and you are MAJOR contributors.

I am still SHOCKED so many alumni have NO IDEA the totality of what this site has to offer.

the new board is just a new responsibility and a way to give BACK to HNIC..

I will continue to try to post interesting entertaining news, music drops, tv discussion, sports news, PG rated dilemma threads and hopefully the black girl online appreciation thread and few other "appropriate" threads on the main

But ALL the other threads will live on and still be updated by the bgol crew in the trap / basement.

But the new main will not only bring some money but also new blood..

So many of ya''ll including me want to start our own blogs, podcast, business etc...

this NEW BOARD will be a FREE way for ALL that?

How is this a bad thing?

I don't want the board to change, but change is inevitable. I know the backup board is back there, but I never go.

But I'll adapt. I remember when I started a thread and I posted every single Marvin Gaye album. I posted a link on the main board after Ten told me not too and I got banned for two weeks.

So I posted it back on the music board. I'll adapt. I don't like it,but BGOL is the best spot online.

When I get some money you will know it because I will have 2-3 youtube shows going at the same time, I have no problem with white folks being on any show I produce, but it will be a black show.

So we have this board and you use our membership to boost your numbers for adsense and such.
New members are pushed to a "mirrored" board where only the most popular non-porn posts are mirrored so they can be searched and such.
Those popular posts are posted on this board and moderated so people know porn, links, etc... will be removed if posted in these particular threads from now on.
New members hit a certain criteria (posts, likes, ad clicks, whatever) and it's welcome to the Land of Zod?

Same. I'm wondering how much the new ad board will even be used if all the old members, influencers, and content G's all flood BGOLx anyway?

I can't follow what you are saying, there is no concrete plan, but I'll give you an idea of what needs to happen.

I need a clean forum so I can run ads from the Google Ad Network, they are the largest Advertising company on the Internet. All of the white websites do it, I don't see why I can't do it.

We do not have a forum on this board that meets the criteria for consideration from the Google Ad Network.

For the sake of clarity, I need to create a new forum that is clean and I'm asking all members who like BGOL to post to that forum. I may have to freeze the current Main Board so folks will post to the new board.

Let's say I freeze the Main Board for 60 days. In 60 days if members are willing to help, we will have close to 300 pages of content (each page has 35 threads). That's enough content to give a person the feel of what BGOL is all about. I think we have our own personality.

About 30 days in I'm going to start running Facbook ads (for example) and target black Men & Woman age 35+. I can run a continuous ad campaign for about $2-300 a month and do a slow build.

After 60 days we open the Main Board back up that's full of porn and you will have only been inconvenienced for 2 months.

The alternative is to do nothing and in 2 years close the thing down and say we did it our way.

None of this is absolute, just an outline of the result I need, how I get there will be the challenge.

Basically.

From what i understand

It won't REALLY effect members who aren't heavy content contributors.

To the average bgol vet.

Its just the clean main.

Thats it.

One click you back to bgol prime or X or whatever.

And most dudes don't know how to search anyway

But it won't make it any MORE difficult.

Log in, go to your usual spots and it will be the same content OUTSIDE the new main.

From my understanding thats it.

Under the scenario I outlined above every forum would be open except what is currently the main board. After 60 days or sooner it will be open also.

What would really be good, is if the top 50+ posters all came together and make a commitment to help get the new forum off the ground and we leave all of the forums open, including the Main Board with all the porn. Some have already told me privately that they will help in any way they can.

I'm burnt out Bro, all I want is a free board, I gave my best solution how we can get there. The Pay model cannot be sustained. :dunno:

Sounds good. Just in time before the U.S. Presidential election, NBA season, NFL Playoffs, and College Football Playoffs. I think the new board needs a new name separate from BGOL.
