The draw is us, believe it or not we have a collective personality, we are funny, we are smart. I'm not talking about everyone else, I'm talking about our crew.

We are not that far way from being solvent. $4,000 I can pay every bill in my house, pay for board upgrades , pay for board plugins, hire a developer when I need special shit done.

I can run Facebook Ads, let's say $300 a month, targeting Black Male & Females 35+, keep that on a continuous loop and maybe add other ad sources when I can afford it. Some will pass right through, but some will stay.

The Fellas like Lexx, Soul on Ice and DJ will still be dropping the threads with the nice babes in the them.

For the old heads every forum we have ever had will still be here.

Personally I’m cool... Even before this The Fonz saw the writing on the wall.. it’s one of the reasons why I’ve been pushing people to get use to posting shit in the basement.

The way these chicks are getting lately on premium content. It will be just easier to do this.

but I would Say..... That it is possible to do this but still have NSFW tags in posts on the new main board. As long as the posts contain tags that can only be seen by members who click the contents.. those contents shouldn’t be indexed by google. It’s the same content that i was talking to you about when it comes to lurker proof content.

I still think that ultimately the best way to drive more paying members is a mixture of the new board but with posts that contain content that the OP can set for a certain type of member.

Like if I don’t want a 15 day member to be able to view content ... I can put that setting in place or if I don’t want a member with a post total less then 1000 to view content.. it’s in the setting. When I was checking out the xenforo forum.. I saw these types of extensions available for a forum. So I know they are out there.

These type of extensions would give people the ability to still be BGoL on the new board, force new members to engage not lurk, and allow you to get around googles hurdles.

Under the scenario I outlined above every forum would be open except what is currently the main board. After 60 days or sooner it will be open also.

What would really be good, is if the top 50+ posters all came together and make a commitment to help get the new forum off the ground and we leave all of the forums open, including the Main Board with all the porn. Some have already told me privately that they will help in any way they can.

I'm burnt out Bro, all I want is a free board, I gave my best solution how we can get there. The Pay model cannot be sustained.

I need a clean forum so I can run ads from the Google Ad Network, they are the largest Advertising company on the Internet. All of the white websites do it, I don't see why I can't do it.

• instead of adsense etc - Have you researched selling traffic to blog networks (adult fetish etc) - that's how Gawker Media, CNN etc boost their ad rates - they buy impressions from affiliates - using impressions of users that never visited the media sites nor ever saw content from those sites

• Its 2019 - BUILD A BGOL APP (imo hybrid, but a real expert on here will weigh in) for Android and iOS - there are many incentives to entice members to download it - and there are many ways to monetize w/o being invasive to members

• Social Media - create a sub forum that will act as a social media landing page or lobby

(There is an election year coming and some very juicy potential scandals in the pipeline...
in the past the members here have curated great content and provided some of the hottest takes that literally launched MTO and a handful of other "blogs")

Create an Instagram Facebook and Twitter accounts - on a daily basis curate the board for the best new threads - copy them to new sub forum (no avatars or sigs ) also post the content of those threads' OP on the gram along with 2 or 3 of the spiciest anti PC replies along with subforum thread link
Eventually you can attract writers like LargeBills to create content and figure out a per piece profit share based on impressions / engagement

This will also dovetail into any Youtube channel you launch in future - your goal there should be to build subscribers and move your subscribers off of Youtube

It's hard building an app for a message board, the folks at Xenforo have been trying for 3-4 years. I don't see how that makes money anyway. You have to live in my shoes to know how people want nothing to do with traffic from a porn board. They just don't. I have 20 years of people telling me to fuck off.

I don't see how making a porn board popular through social media equals dollars in my pocket. Also at the height of this boards popularity I joined one of those traffic selling/trading companies and I had no takers. Porn Message board traffic is considered garbage traffic.

I'm going to execute my plan and if it doesn't work, the BGOL story is close to being over.

We can restrict thread creation on the hardcore forum and/or move any new threads not porn related to the new board and clean and move any existing non porn topics people still want to discuss. I think tall is right in that folks will freak out not having access to post porn. We have a lot of lurkers also to consider, we don't want to lose their interest while we revamp things.

there are 3 types of apps - one of them is basically a custom browser on the device dedicated to your site/ address / url.
Until Xenforo figures out how to build a forum app you can use this type.

The most base way you would monetize an app is by allowing it to collect device location (w/o it being a requirement) and model & network information.
cpc / impression premiums are available based on location of the mobile viewer - that is just from running Adsense on the site / page

AND

by using AdMOB (https://developers.google.com/admob/) you would be able to run advertising locally with in the app its self
With the ability to have Adsense and other ad networks bid in real time for highest cpc vs impression rate
to run ads on that device based on location, network or other available demographic information

(the board generates ad revenue and then the app generates additional revenue at a higher rate with greater flexibility of use banners video gif at intervals of 15 minutes, 5 minutes or less)

Yes the dark side is needed like the underground economy... It gets bad publicity but if the underground economy no longer existed the country would collapse, same way with the darkside... I never had a problem donating. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. I’ve gained so much knowledge coming here but also this board has helped me with a lot of other stuff like customizing my own Fire stick and other shit.

So if you wanna bring donation back I’m with it. Maybe have it like an elite status type thing for ones who want to pay and those who post a gang of content.

Either way the board is priceless to me and I’m all in.

Another suggestion would be to name the new reboot the Basement or BGOLX as others have already suggested or name it the Barber Shop. That way the culture of the hard core members and the flavor of the current main board does not change when the reboot is done. Personally I feel we need more active mods to be more on the ball moving threads where they supposed to be. I am sick of Trump dominating this board even though I myself am guilty of responding sometimes. Make sure the mods remains consistent in categorizing threads moving forward with the reboot. Zero exceptions.
