Ding!!! and the NFL and NBA are totally different levels of wealth. In my opinion this is what happened. The NFL started calling around for people to perform at Superbowl festivities. Many said no because we are signed to Roc Nation and we ain't supporting ya'll. They found out about this Jay Z dude and said who does this nigga work for. They Found out Jay is SIGNED to Live Nation and Live Nation uses many of the venues that their owners own for events. They made the call to Live Nation and said get this nigga in check and threw some money around. Live Nation went to Jay and said this is what is about to happen and we are going to use Roc Nation to run it thru for the diversity angle. Jay knowing that he owes a lot of favors really had no choice in the matter, thus the stumbling and bumbling at the press conference. Now they working the media angle to try to make him look good. The end.

Jay-Z's stake in the nets was one-fifteenth of one percent. Let that sink in for a min. Heads in here were acting as if Jay was a sole owner of the Nets. He has as much decision making power as you or me when we buy a share of stock in Apple. If you think that Jay's stake in an NFL team is going to be substantial, you're high as 10 kites.
