Mueller Report Out! (AG Barr Edition: download within)

His use of social media and the regular media was masterful and will be studied for years. When BGOL member @CoTtOnMoUf took a bet on Trump, Trump was still in 'joke candidate' mode. Long shot status. But he was relentless with the twitter. Got MSM to bite time and time again.

I began to peep his game in 2015 when the left started getting really hot and emotional about him. He wasn't tweeting at his followers or republicans. He was saying shit to just touch nerves to make him look like a republican. Talk about chess. Since he couldn't get validation from the party, he got it elsewhere.

I think it's even deeper than that. Trump ever had to do anything in life he really didn't want to do. Not even in the sandbox as a preschooler. Now he had to play nice for 2 years and counting because of this Russian shit. Best believe he took notes on any republican who used this as leverage.

If Trump gets reelcted in 2020, he's 2015 Trump. He'll no longer have to play nice with them. Trump can get a W and still hold a grudge. He's all about power. And having to play nice for 2 years is not Trump. And he wont have to worry about 2024. :smh: What some republicans feared would happen in 2016 has been moved to 2020 if he gets another term.

Damn, u remember that bet huh?

Yeah, I lost my ass on that one.

Bet started off at 500 and as months

went on, we upped it to 1500 iirc.

Yep, that was a bad day all around, lol.

Folk need to understand when you let genies out of the bottle, they’re out.

If you’re in the Congress you might want to take a couple weeks to think everything through and think about the precedents your are setting instead of windmilling like the base wants you to.

Definitely. I still don't Pelosi is going to do it. And I definitely don't think she'll do it before having Mueller come and testify. And they're not going to subpoena him. At best, we'd probably get Mueller in front of Congress in June or July.

Man Fox New Repubs.... OOOOOOOOHHHH WWWWEEEEE..............

Man this shit is just fucking tough to watch.... It's just tough..
Like on the real... the shit that FOX news is doing right now is fucking dangerous.

It's different to have an Opinion.. I get it..

It's ok to have a different viewpoint of the news.. but to sit up here and fucking lie... while Smiling..

I mean... BOLD FACE LIES....

Like...

How can you rely on the report.. when it comes to the NO conspiracy ... aspect of the report.. I mean rely on it to the point where two weeks ago.. Repubs were up here asking Schiff to resign.. calling him a pencil neck..

But... On the Volume 2 (Obstruction part)... that part that's really the reason why we have a special prosecutor..... You just say... Oh none of that shit matters...

When called out on this, they often go to the "this show is not a 'news' show.. it's entertainment. I've literally seen multiple Fox News hosts so it's wrong to hold them to journalist standards when they're only entertainers. It's not their responsibility to tell the truth..only to produce entertaining content.

One reason why I think an impeachment trial would be significant is that I know for a fact that most people who watch Fox News and ONLY far right wing blogs like breitbart literally don't know about a vast majority of the stuff trump has done. Most probably wouldn't care anyway, but some of then literally have no idea what he's done because their bubble just doesn't discuss it at all.

NOPE... there is nothing that you can do about that half of the republicans...

This is why congressional investigations or impeachment are important. You can change those independent numbers. That's one reason why the GOP got washed in the midterms. It was the first time in over a decade that Democrats won Independents.

What's the rationale here for starting with McGahn rather than Mueller? Is it just to follow the John Dean/Watergate roadmap or is there a better reason? I mean, McGahn's damning testimony is already in black and white ink all over this report. Genuinely curious not rhetorical.

Mueller is still with the DOJ. The AG would need to approve it and he won't. Special Counsels really can't do much without the AG approving things. I have this theory that Barr is going to find a way to keep Mueller working so that he doesn't get released from DOJ protocols. Barr can deny a congressional request to have Mueller testify and then the Dems would sue and it goes to the courts. it would take forever though.. it likely wouldn't even be settled until next year.

Thanks

It's surprising that the Special Counsel isn't able to exercise some kind of inpendence from the AG in this regard. Hopefully if nothing else this entire nightmare lays bare how dependent we are on "tradition" and the wisdom of the Executive and Legislative branches rather than concrete rules.

Used to be Independent Counsels until Ken Starr came and acted a damn fool. They changed the laws because of GOP overreach.

Cause with Mueller... Mueller can only say what McGahn told him..

McGahn can put a face behind his statements...

Someone made a good point on Twitter... Why try to read to People what the Report says.. When a large chunk of the country isn't going to read shit anyway... but having a Sound byte or clip on Twitter or on the TV.. will carry more impact..

Plus like I said earlier... Mueller could say that "If I was viewing this under a prosecutory standard.. i don't think the evidence that was presented to us would be enough to indict"..

So put some of the actors on stage first.. They gave sworn testimony to Mueller's team.. so they are locked in...
also consider that by compelling McGahn to testify and present his documents under subpoena and later doing the same for others like Gates, Cohen etc.... is an end run around Barr blocking congress from seeing "underlying evidence" Mueller's report is based on

These Repubs.... are going to next level lengths trying to make up shit...

'No Ma'am': Fox News Host Calls Out Bonkers RNC Flack For Lying About Robert Mueller

Republican National Committee spokesperson Liz Harrington lashed out at Fox News host Leland Vittert over the weekend after he asked her about evidence that President Donald Trump committed obstruction.

During the Saturday interview on Fox News, Vittert noted that some Democrats are considering impeachment hearings over evidence against Trump in special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation report.

"They are going to overreach because the American people know there's no 'there' there," Harrington insisted.

"[The report] identified numerous links between individuals with ties to the Russian government and individuals associated with Russia... That's not 'didn't find anything,'" Vittert pointed out.

"This is 19 Democrat [sic] lawyers who were picked by Robert Mueller," Harrington said of the investigators. "You read page by page and there's innuendo and suggestions of impropriety."

"Telling [then-White House counsel] Don McGhan to fire Robert Mueller isn't wrong?" Vittert asked.

"Not firing someone isn't obstruction," the RNC spokesperson insisted.

"I'm not asking whether it's obstruction or not," Vittert said. "I'm asking whether it's the right thing to do."

According to Harrington, however, Mueller's team accused Trump of "treason" for "two years."

"No, ma'am!" Vittert shot back. "Robert Mueller never accused him of treason."

"There was a dossier that said he was compromised!" Harrington exclaimed.

"Not one person in Robert Mueller's office ever accused the president of treason," the Fox News host repeated.

"If this report had been written about a Democratic president, I can't imagine you'd have the same feeling about it," Vittert added.

"The vast majority of Republicans are sickened by an out-of-control Obama Justice Department," Harrington remarked. "This is dishonesty from James Clapper, John Brennan, Jim Comey, Adam Schiff. That's the pervasive mess of dishonesty that Republicans are upset about!"

"But none of them are president," Vittert observed. "Isn't the president of the United States held to a higher standard?"

"Of course! He did nothing wrong!" Harrington shouted. "There was no collusion!"

"Telling Don McGhan to fire Mueller was not wrong?" Vittert asked.

"No!" Harrington cried out. "This is such a misconception. If the president wanted to fire Robert Mueller, he would have done it!"

"That's the real scandal here," she continued, cutting off Vittert. "They knew there was no collusion and yet they started the special counsel report anyway."

"Well, so far I haven't heard anything different than the talking points from the White House," Vittert scoffed.

"You haven't heard talking points from the Democrat [sic] Party apparently," Harrington shot back.

Donald Trump is going to destroy the Republican Party.

What’s this mean?

The counter-intelligence side of the Mueller Investigation either wasn't completed or wasn't published. So that means despite what the media was told, Mueller is likely still investigating Trump OR the most damning parts of the counter-intelligence investigation has been withheld from the public.

No way he’s still investigating lol

Dems will almost be forced to impeach. Trump is putting pressure on people to not cooperate with Congress.
.

Yeah I don't think they have a Choice man... I really want them to Wait until after the McGahn testimony... So the American public will be able to put a voice and a face to what was said in the Report..

but man every day... I'm getting more and more swayed to just pull the trigger now.

Yeah. I still think they'll wait. Pelosi doesn't want to do it. I do think she'll wait until McGahn testifies and she'll hope the outcry is so loud that she'll come ass as being compelled to do it. I also think they want to keep it going and delay as much as possible so that impeachment actually runs really close to the 2020 election and doesn't prematurely end.

If McGahn testifies that the President ordered him to tell Sessions to Fire Mueller because it would stop the cloud over Trumps Administration... I don't see how they could wait until the end of the year.

Clinton's impeachment lasted 14 months. I think they want to minimize the risk... have it overlap with the election....so file by the end of the summer so that you're running up very close in it. It wouldn't be my strategy but i wouldn't be surprised if they're thinking of it. Minimize downside to it as he wouldn't be able to run on the Senate not convicting. It could happen towards the end, but at that point all the damage would be done.
