Good shit fam. Being an ectomorph I will only get so strong. You mesomorph and endomorph built people easily can easily put on muscle mass. I will at least be skinny strong:yes:.

I am 6ft tall just under 185lbs. My goal is to eventually be able to lift my own body weight 5o times. I plan on maxing out at least 25olbs. on the bench press and to be able to squat 500 lbs. comfortably. Been putting in the work but have a ways to go.
My oldest started lifting this year and he definitely got my genes. He is 6'5, 190. He just maxed at 200lbs. His shoulders are starting to spread and he just begun. My lifetime max is 405 but I have a 6'9 wingspan. Lifting weights always make me feel good.

Well when I was hitting the weights, I never liked doing reps with that amount of speed. I liked to do them slowly and finish the rep squeezing that muscle at the end of each rep while holding form. If I'm looking at losing weight then I would do faster reps but with less weight, making it more of a cardio workout.

Pretty much different strokes for different folks.

Speed kills fam. When you firing off weight that quick, it transfers over when you doing triples, doubles, and singles. Speed x strength = power.

Yeh I'm round that 40 mark..I work out for sheer power..when I'm hitting weights..I'm thinkin bout running through a muffucka..impact..I try hard to do a Cardio workout with the weights before I go shoot basketball or hit the liptical..straight animal..when I walk in da gym..it literally shuts down..brah

Don't let up fam. I will be 48 and it gets 100% harder after you hit the 40 mark. I was still dunking @37. Now I can barely touch them rim.
 
I feel you man. Shit. When I'm 67, I hope to be able to move around without too much pain. I'd do the most basic lifting if any. I'd probably just stick to the pool work.

See I put my ego aside a long time ago. I would rather be able to workout on a regular schedule as opposed to a super workout that sidelines me for the next 3 days. Being consistent is more important to me. BTW I too do a lot of work in the pool. Besides gym injuries are no joke.

You can do it but I’d say live by that flat bench. I’m very wary of the incline bench, it’s a brutal bench on shoulders but that flat bench give you the best core blast. I got into 1000+ club a few times. 350 bench, squat, deadlift. I’m 6’1 205. Back in 2012 I tore my labrum on a mission and tried to rehab too quickly. They said it was partially torn previously (wtf) It’s chronic now so I pretty much work out with 225-230. My workout was an nfl safety’s I found in a muscle mag. Supersets (to get a lil more cardio, aerobic with anaerobic) then finish with a mile or two cardio or treadmill. Body fat is still around 5% but going heavier now on lifting isn’t happening. Mf joints be aching:smh:
 
I'm always the thinnest dude in the gym. Trying to change that in these next few years. This ectomorph body type ain't no joke

I ain't forgot about this shit @killagram . This thread actually motivated me to get back into it hardcore. Built a fucking home gym. :eek: Hope to get that 315x20 close grip by May/June. Trying to take it slow and stay injury free. 3 second pause Spotos have my shoulders feeling like I'm 17 again.

Oh shit....bout to level up on they ass...huh brah?
