physical comedy does not equal cooning. i don't recall a cooning martin lawrence. but i can easily think of some borderline roles from eddie murphy. i think eddie murphy had more of a sarcasm thing going that cooning.
we can all debate their "drag" roles. but that is a different thread.
cooning is IN PART living a stereotype. and both cardi and tiffany do it. among others....
the only difference between "diamond and silk" and cardi and tiffany is the subject matter.

You'll say that Tiffany Haddish is playing up a negative stereotype and cooning
and then say well Eddie had some borderline roles as if he didn't get on stage and play Buckwheat
And I don't have a problem with EITHER of those things
you just have a selective problem with 1 and not the other.
