Netfix: OZARK Season 4 Discussion Thread (spoilers) (season 4 trailer!!) (drops 1/21/2022)

You can't forget about El Chapo.. niggas continue to sleep on that show..

Plus I've got a new one for you.. .Actually it's an Old one, but I just started watching it on Netflix.

New Season Starts soon and there is a Spin-off coming.. If this show ends like how it started.. I'm going to make a thread.

I think I saw "El Chapo" which was excellent btw unless they have a new season or something. I'll check some of that stuff out though. Thanks for the suggestions. Any more keep em coming or I'll probably just start a new thread or something. "Ozark" just upped the game so high and is just hard to top or even match and it'll be quite awhile before the next season comes out. These shows can be binge watched in a weekend or a week or so or whatever and a whole season nowadays can be like ten shows where it used to be 25 or 30 shows years ago.

Power & Empire are shit writing...
I like Altered Carbon but I'm a geek - and non geeks seem not to like it very much

These are good to great crime dramas: Snowfall, Better Call Saul, Bosh, Hand of God, Goliath, Tin Star, Deuce, Sneaky Pete, 19-2...
Americans is a great spy series
also - Vikings and Last Kingdom are very good

Yeah I'll check some of this stuff out. Thanks.

Yeah "house of paper"/money heist was dope..looking forward to the new season..

Best dramas im watching right now are...Ozark, snowfall, Killing eve, ...gonna take in narcos when it comes back

Finished a marathon watch with ol girl...

Stayed up to 6 watching season 2 and I fucking loved it.

I hate that i couldn’t do my typical running commentary for this season though.

My only complaint is that I’m Season 3... they have to do something about Marty’s teenage girl. Chick got extra annoying. But everything else was fantastic to me.

The thing that I really enjoyed is that Marty and his wife are in it as a team but are still going their own way at the same time.

It reminds me of the best seasons of house of cards.

Is Marty and Wendy really a team or does Wendy seem to be getting in to deep.........

Wendy is definitely getting in good an deep with the cartel and politicians... How she gets Marty out of the Mafia / union ish is a mystery to me... They don't care about a cartel or the law

Beat me to it. Dope fucking show, great acting throughout. The gay shit has to go though

I just started watching and when the fed agents got all chummy I said man these mf gay. Then they put more of that shit in. We can’t have any shows now without fags showing up or a lesbian arc to it? Man stop the madness!

They ought to give gays a channel..keep em off da mainstream...hell they made a movie about pimps and hoix and snuck gay shidd into it...brah

I'm right there with you, but getting to the point where im like fuck it because like 95% if the characters are just so unlikeable?

I'm gonna continue with it as it's easily one of the best series out there these days. Plus, money often brings out the worst in people ... so it's interesting watching the dynamics amongst all the players. Those who are lower level ... others who are wealthy ... all the crime that's occurred & crimes that are actively simmering or being plotted.

I finished season 2 last week and was not disappointed.

It’s looking like Marty is not going to be the meekish dude we are used to going into Season 3.

His wife threw him under the bus and now he has to deal with the KC Mob.

That last shot of the Family together with him not smiling says it all.

I can’t wait for Season 3!!!!

Finished this season a couple of weeks ago.

Anyone else see the similiarity between Ozark and Breaking Bad?

  • Main character reasons to do what he does for the betterment of his family.
  • In an endless no-way-out situation with bad people.
  • Always getting into fucked up situations with Cartels but always seem to sneak out of it.
  • Puts too much trust in his dealings and money with his unfaithful and manipulative wife (Skyler vs Wendy) and a unsuspecting local youth (Jessie Pinkman vs Ruth Langmore).
  • Wife starts off appalled by the dealings, but then gets her panties wet when the money and power benefits her. Then starts to use that power to make boss decisions which makes it worse for everyone.

Do you self a favor and watch this shit... it’s got potential to be the next breaking bad. It could be bigger since the entire family is complicit.

I see the parallels but I don't think it's following a Breaking Bad path IMO. What the show conjures up for me is a bunch of movies that came out in the 80s set in Chicago, where the sucessful parents are preoccupied with their careers and have children that are doing whatever they want. Think Ordinary People, shit, even Risky Business and Ferris Bueller. They moved to the Ozarks and took all their Chicago bullshit with them.

Yoooooo, I been sleepin on this shit!

My girl hipped me on last week.

On season 1 episode 4.

Looks like good shit!

'Ozark' Renewed for Season 3 at Netflix

The Jason Bateman-Laura Linney drama will return in 2019 for another round of 10 episodes.

Netflix is going back to the Ozarks.

The streaming giant has handed out a third-season renewal for Jason Bateman and Laura Linney starrer Ozark. The family drama will be back for another cycle of 10 episodes, likely in 2019. Showrunner Chris Mundy will return in the same capacity.

The pickup comes after Ozark returned Aug. 31 with its second season. While the freshman run was a breakout among critics — Bateman earned Emmy nominations for lead actor and directing — season two returned with more mixed reviews. THR chief TV critic Daniel Fienberg called the sophomore outing "gloomy, monotonous and poorly focused." (Season two currently has a 70 percent score on RottenTomatoes.com, up a smidgen from the first run.)

There is a LGBT section on Netflix with movies and shows.

You won’t see it unless you search for it or watch a LGBT movie and then it will show up on your recommended lists.

I just started watching the first 2 episodes, so ima ease my way outta this thread. I don't wanna spoil it.

Man, y'all right. Jason is that dude. This show is flames!!!

Fuck. I thought this bump meant the new season dropped.:angry::angry:

Netflix has yet to confirm the Ozark Season 3 release date. Season 1 was released July 27, 2017. Season 2 was released August 31, 2018. There doesn’t appear to be a firm pattern for Ozark’s release schedule, but TV Line reports that Season 3 will be 10 episodes long and release before the end of 2019.

Inverse - "As of this writing, Netflix has already released the list of shows and movies coming to the platform in October, and Ozark Season 3 is not included. Netflix usually releases these lists on the third Wednesday of every month, so if the release date is in November, then we should get confirmation on or around October 16."
