4yr fishin trip?

I wanted to see a draw
Countries like Brazil and Argentina are such bores to watch
Just a collection of talent with no identity as a team
The tourney would be better without them IMO

I knew Costa Rica was going down they should have lost 4-0...their game plan to just to try and hold Brazil to a tie. Now Argentina is in trouble, they look horrible. Brazil still can make some minor changes, Firmino and Acosta look like a better combo.

Neymar is the problem tbh
As long as he’s on the pitch, the team won’t be able to play to their potential
There may have been a 4-0 result if he didn’t play

He's too big of a marketing pitch to pull.

Tactically however, yes, they look ten times more fluid without him. The passing sequences between Coutinho, Acosta, Marcelo, Jesus were nice until he got the ball.

Then it turned into the Neymar show.

Brazil looks the same way since 1958.
Only difference individual talent in the pst was better.

In all fairness though, the double and triple marking that he draws slow downs Costa Rica attacks. The focus on Neymar burned out Costa Rica.

I don't think CR had much of a game plan to attack Brazil anyhow. Outside of Navas lumping it forward, that was about as much attack as they were gonna have. Getting a point from that would've been like a win for them.

But yea we'll see when he's a bit more isolated, how much more fluid they can be.

Hell yea...let's go. This is setting the stage for a great match.... Argentina vs Nigeria. Do or die. Uh oh... penalty?

FIFA needs to change their rules. It was a foul, but it should never have been called, because the Iceland player didn't have full possession and he wouldn't have gotten possession anyways.

It is the right call, nothing needs to change.
Blame the defending player for being lazy and stupid. Football is not all about skills, you have to use your brain and think fast.
