***Official 2018 FIFA World Cup Thread***

I don't think Abdenour was even called up. He spent most of the qualifiers out with a recurring hamstring.

Too bad Ben Yedder went for France. He'd lift this team something fierce
I had a thought the other day
Imagine if the Euro Black and Arab players capped for the nations of their people
Congo, Jamaica, Algeria would all be in this tournament

I guess Belgium is the only "big" team living up to its potential, yes I know the wins are against inferior teams but the other favorites are struggling against the same caliber teams. Do I see a 1-7 future in Tunisia's future?

Right, we said this during world cup in 2010 smh

Not only would they be in this tournament, but half of the European teams would be non existent and first on the chopping block...

France.

It'd just be Lloris and Griezemann out there lol

Sadly I must agree.

I know Martinez fell out of favor in the PL for some reason and MU was probably too big a job for him but I was really hoping US soccer would have at least tried to hire him.
If he becomes available again after this cup, I'd have a go for him here. I don't think he'd struggle with the players here, but moreso the politics of US Soccer.

I actually think the politics are more to do with MLS than the USMNT. He'll probably get another shot at the PL again tho. If something opens up that's better than the crap owners he had before.
