0fficial 2017-2018 NBA Postseason Thread....NBA Finals Cavs vs Warriors 0-4(dubs back 2 back champs)

Uh huh
So instead of forcing them to adjust to whiteside spo went in another direction

How's that working out for y'all?
Again we have tried for the last two years to compensate for Whiteside not being able to guard on the Perimeter by playing through him on the offensive end.

Facts are Whiteside is not a big that can get your 30 a night and shoot efficiently. The Heat already was challenged on the scoring end and wasted possession from Whiteside was catastrophic when he was not able to stop the opposing center from scoring.

He really said our center can't guard the 3 so we took him out instead of feeding him the ball to control the paint that's the logical thing to do lmao

How. Is. That. Working. Out. For . y'all.
Spo has tried that religiously for two years now and it simply does not work because we would give up more points than we would get scoring from Whiteside

Nothing but the best Ron.

Naw it don't. It's just a advantage. It's like having home court. Doesn't guarantee you will win if you play at home. But it's a advantage to have. You won't see it the first game. You may see it when a team faces diversity and is down 0-2 or some shit.
Now the one spot where experience definitely matters is with the refs. As yoh saw tonight we didn't get some calls we should have. I mean blatant fouls. That makes a difference no question.

Cool trade him so someone else can use him

Funny thing is, they'll probably credit a blowout to Miami quitting more than us beating the breaks off them.

They quit like Boxers do... after the other fighter beat the breaks off of him... Brett Brown outcoached the hell out of Spol tonight.

Honestly I thought the refs let both teams play. Only person I saw get calls was Reddick in the second half. I like when the refs let them play just as long as it's even.

That’s why I said before you comment you should follow the team or listen when people give you honest answers. There is a huge thread on the Miami Heat board where everyone agreed that we may have to move Whiteside. Even our local paper has spoke about maybe having to move Whiteside.

Another problem is that is not a great passer. If he can improve his passing and facilitate through the post that changes a lot. But currently he is not a great post passser and Spo has worked with him a lot

I never been a fan of his game. Whiteside is what 2000's big men were. You can't sell me him when I see guys like Drummond or Cousins or Embid...he just represents the outdated big man.

Oh they did quit..but it was a result of them getting that work. Just want credit when its due...
Yeah they got hit in the mouth and folded. The process hater in me doesn't know how much credit y'all deserve for that. But them jumpshots killed them. If y'all gonna shoot like that then they might as well put y'all in the ECF.

I don't get his game at all. He has athleticism and that's about it.

Man. I'm old enough to remember Cory Magette out of Duke. He was athletic too but carved a niche. I don't know what Winslow brings to the table other than filler. It's a different league too: shooters. But I don't watch Miami, so I may be missing something. He had a nice little assist and block during garbage time, but . . . people slacking off of him 8 feet.:dunno:

Actually it did. It ended in thr 3rd when them niggas couldn't shoot for shit and they couldn't stop them euros from shooting. Did you watch the game or the box score?

don't do that dumb shit
you watched the game or?
cause all i know is not playing whiteside didn't help them come close to winning did it? so again how did it work out for them not playing him cause he can't guard a cat that shoots 3's on the perimeter

I have a problem with people thinking that another person can't look at something and determine when an error was made.

you are acting like miami is loaded with so much talent they can afford to bench any of it.

Don't do what dumb shit? I'm asking you genuinely did you watch the game? I thought maybe you didn't based on some of the stuff you saying. The 76ers out shot them niggas and blew them out in that 3rd quarter. What would Whiteside have done about the Heat scoring 5 points in the 3rd quarter and Reddick, Bellinelli, llasova and Saric shooting lights out?

The problem is that Embid makes them a worse team. Nothing to do with his talent but like you said the days of the bigs posting up are gone

I remember Maggette the Pro....he didn't have a jumper in college? Because in the pros he found a way to develop into a pretty good offensive player.

Winslow at the very least should be Aminu right now.

Yo real talk. Ever since we picked up Bellini and llasova, between them Reddick, Saric and Convington ..every night at least 2 or 3 been shooting the lights out. Ben just finds them, and now Fultz does the same thing with the second unit.

Maybe we should sit Embiid until Miami figures out how to deal with that dilemma.

The problem is that teams have exploited whiteside lack of lateral movement for two years now.

Spo has done everything in his power to try and scheme around Whiteside lack of lateral movement and inability to guard the perimeter.
