**Official NFL Boycott Thread**

Here are the NFL owners who have donated to Trump

President Trump is waging war with NFL players who take a knee or sit during the national anthem as a sign of protest.

During a rally in Alabama on Friday he said those players should be fired, and doubled down on his blitz in a pair of tweets Saturday afternoon.

Trump was condemned by the league, the players union and some owners.

The President, who owned a USFL team before the league ended and once tried to buy the Buffalo Bills, has been friendly with NFL owners in the past.

Several were campaign donors or fund-raisers, while others contributed to his inauguration committee, which had a record-setting haul.

Woody Johnson, New York Jets
Johnson, who bought the Jets in 2000, raised major funds for Trump once he secured the Republican nomination. He originally backed Jeb Bush, whom Trump regularly targeted during the primaries.

He was also one of several NFL owners who each donated $1 millionto Trump’s inaugural committee.

Trump nominated the Johnson & Johnson heir to become U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom, and he was confirmed by the Senate in August.

Robert Kraft, New England Patriots
Kraft was also among the NFL executives who pitched in $1 million to Trump’s inauguration, according to financial disclosure reports.

Although Kraft is reportedly a Democrat, he said he backed Trump because the real estate developer was there for him after the death of his wife, Myra, in 2011.

And the longtime Pats owner has given more than money. He even gave the commander-in-chief a Super Bowl ring when the reigning champions visited the White House in August.

A group tied to Jones' company donated to the inaugural committee, but the Cowboys owner declined to endorse a candidate during the campaign.

Jerry Jones, Dallas Cowboys
A group tied to the Glenstone Corporation, for which Jones is the president, was among the $1 millioninaugural committee donors.

Diddy, John Legend slam Trump for hit on NFL protesters

Jones avoided throwing his support behind either Trump or Hillary Clinton during the campaign, looking to avoid alienating any of his fan base.

“We’re going to be fine either way this thing goes, in my opinion,” he told a Dallas radio station in November.

Dan Snyder, Washington football team
Snyder was also one of the inaugural donors, although federal campaign records show he originally donated to Bush’s primary effort. However his wife, Tanya Snyder, donated $534.86 to Trump’s campaign in September 2015, according to campaign filings.

The football executive was one of 500 people to attend one of the glitziest pre-inaugural dinners in January, the Washington Post reported.

President Trump goes to war with NFL and NBA athletes

Trump also told the New York Times in October 2015 that he didn’t think the football team should change its controversial name, which Snyder has fought to keep.

Khan donated to the inauguration committee, but slammed Trump's proposed travel ban.

Shad Khan, Jacksonville Jaguars
Khan, too, was among those who chipped in $1 million to the inaugural committee.

But the Pakistan native later ripped the newly minted President in February for his attempted travel ban on several Muslim-majority countries.

“The bedrock of this country are immigration and really a great separation between church and state,” Khan, who is Muslim, told the Times earlier this year.

McNair reportedly donated $2 million to a pro-Trump PAC.

Bob McNair, Houston Texans
McNair donated $2 million to the pro-Trump group Great America, according to the Center for Public Integrity. He was also among the owners to pitch into Trump’s inaugural committee.

Kroenke gave $1 million for the inauguration, but donated to both candidates during the election.

Stan Kroenke, Los Angeles Rams
Kroenke was one of the seven who pitched in $1 million for the committee, too.

But during the campaign, he reportedly donated to both Trump’s and Clinton’s Presidential bids.

Along with the Rams, which last year played its first season in Los Angeles, Kroenke also owns the Arsenal soccer team in the United Kingdom. He and his family also own the Denver Nuggets basketball team and the Colorado Avalanche hockey team.

Glazer donated less to the inauguration than others, and gave to both candidates during the campaign.

Edward Glazer, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Glazer, co-chair of the western Florida football team, donated $250,000 to the committee.

During the campaign Glazer also donated $50,000 to the Trump Victory joint fund-raising committee, federal elections reports show. He also donated to the Clinton campaign, however

How you guys holding up?

I myself haven't watched a lick of the NFL and surprisingly haven't missed it too much.

I walked into a sports bar the other Sunday and it was on, but didn't bother watching it.

Watched about 20 minutes worth at the barber shop. Still here about everything from sports talk.

Thanksgiving was the first time i was in the room with it since the Superbowl. I ignored it for the most part. Wont lie and say I didnt watch any plays at all. But being this far removed, without desire to reengage in it. Shit was kind of boring. Ive always thought college was more exciting, but what little I watched seemed too sanitized, safe, and predictable. Havent relapsed.

It has NOT been easy. The Jags have been garbage for 10 years, but of course when I stop watching they start winning.

Ive noticed this too. Even as it's around me, I haven't had that itch to watch.

I don't care for her music but she's earned a fan here if this is true.

Add Cardi B to the list of rappers who are riding for Colin Kaepernick.

The former NFL quarterback’s controversy is still alive and well, and the Bronx rapper has her own boycott in mind, as a way of showing support. TMZ ran into Bardi Saturday night (Feb. 3), at the Maxim Party in Minneapolis, Minn., and asked the “Bodak Yellow” MC when she was going to perform during a Super Bowl halftime show. Cardi was quick with her response, stating plainly, “When they hire Colin Kaepernick back.”

Her enunciation is a little off, but you get the point. Many rappers have been showing support for Kaepernick, who has been unable to get even a back-up QB job since protesting police brutality by kneeling during the National Anthem during games, including J. Cole, Snoop Dogg and Jay-Z. Most recently, Meek Mill, Joey Bada$$ and Nick Cannon made $10,000 donations to the Kaepernick-affiliated charity, Communities United for Police Reform, in New York City. T.I., Chris Brown, Jhene Aiko and more have also donated $10,000 to Kaepernick’s million-dollar pledge campaign.

“Despite my brother @meekmill’s current circumstances, he continues to stay connected in the community of Philly,” Kaepernick recently tweeted. “He pledged to go 10for10 on my MillionDollarPledge. We’re both donating $10k for a combined $20k to Youth Service Inc. Keep staying strong Meek, we love you brother!”

Been a good boycott.

Nothing missed.

No regular season.

No playoffs.

No Super Bowl.

I feel relieved.

Congrats to those that made it through to the end.

Ha I didn't watch shit, and my Sundays are more enjoyable, got more shit done and I'm glad I'm not a brainwashed moron staring at a screen for three hours watching a ball move down a field. So much more to life and not distracted from the issues.

:cheers::bravo:

Like I was saying earlier, it's been fairly easy letting the NFL go. Far easier than I thought it would be.

Personally my Netflix game been on fire lol

How did your family and friends react to anyone not watching NFL this year?

Surprisingly they understood. I didn't really catch any backlash when it was understood that it was for Kap.

You'd have to be one lost ass negro to not get that.

I'm alone in not watching it. My girl supports me, but she's over her brother's house visiting and I know he's watching the game, he told me he ain't boycotting.

What can I say to folks that agree with me that the NFL don't give a damn about black folks but still want to watch it? :dunno:

I've boycotted the nfl all season and I'm not watching the super bowl. First time I can remember not knowing anything about the season. Been a dolphins fan since I was knee high. I'm 38 and this is the first time I can't tell you the fins record. When ever anyone brings up football I tell them straight up I don't support the nfl anymore after the blackballing of Kaep. They have acted like they understood. They might have talked shit about me behind my back but nobody has said anything to my face about it. Not sure I can ever return to football. My team especially had the opportunity and need to sign him and they chose to sign cutler. That tells me all I need to know about the team. It would be like going back to a bitch after she shitted on you because she has good pussy.

I leave em alone. I'm not preaching to nobody. If the NFL means more to them than what's really happening in the world, that's their choice. It is what it is.

Just gotta focus on what we're doing.

I didn't watch one second of the Super Bowl.

Out of habit, I watched a few minutes of the first Falcons game and the tail end of the last Falcons game where they got eliminated, and I watched those with a digital TV antenna.

Other than that, I avoided watching the NFL the whole season.

Didn't buy any of their shit. Games, clothes, game packages, etc.

I avoided most of the NFL threads on here. I went in the SB thread tonight just for the memes.

I still somewhat played fantasy on ESPN and Yahoo, but I obviously didn't do well because I didn't watch highlights, I didn't research news or anything I usually do. Clearly, my heart wasn't in it anymore. I'm definitely leaving those leagues next season.

I only somewhat hinted my manager at work, a white dude, who's a sports fanatic and a Pats fan, that I was boycotting. He would just ask me every week "did you watch the ___ game?" and I would just look at him every week like "nah" and pretended like I cared what happened in the games. He didn't even put it together.

I didn't tell him (or anybody else) I was boycotting because I didn't think he would understand why, because he's a Pats fan and we live in Georgia. I also didn't feel like telling him why he wasn't shit for that. He didn't even consider that I was probably boycotting the NFL. He just assumed that I just stopped watching TV or some shit and looked at me like I was crazy.

I am glad the Pats lost, so I don't have to hear his gloating tomorrow.

But yeah, it wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be.

I did not watch fhe whole season or 1 second of the SuperBowl. As DJ Candle stated, if the NFL means more to individuals than what is happening, than, you do you. I know I am preaching to the choir with most on the board, but...............

Fuck the Massa Cracka Ass Cracka owned NFL! Massa was like, look what we did to Kaep and how we feel about police brutality, and ninjas will still follow "their" teams like a bunch of bitch ass sheep!

That is all......

Be blessed and have a nice day:D
