Official NBA 2016-2017 Thread - 30 teams, 1 goal. 2 weeks left, so much can happen!!

Market plays a bigger role in the NBA than the NFL? Classic big Market teams with wider fan bases?

People who've never lived or even been to Los Angeles tend to be the biggest Laker fans.

Yeah Knicks are still the Knicks even tho they suck

I didn't tune in tho fuck that

Just bad basketball

Nigga trash.

Westbrook's 40th triple-double not enough for Thunder (1:39)
7:02 PM

OKLAHOMA CITY -- As he continues his march toward NBA history, Russell Westbrook reached a milestone Sunday in the Thunder's 113-101 loss to theCharlotte Hornets, passing the 15,000-point scoring mark.

Westbrook is third all time inOklahoma City Thunder/Seattle SuperSonics history, behind Gary Payton (18,207) and Kevin Durant(17,566).

"No, it doesn't," Westbrook said of whether passing the milestone registers with him. "But it's definitely something that I won't take for granted. To be able to play this game for long enough to do that is a blessing in itself."

Westbrook won the scoring title in 2014-15, and is headed for a second one this season leading the league with 31.9 points per game. He finished Sunday's game with 40 points, along with 13 rebounds and 10 assists, recording his 40th triple-double of the season, pulling him within one of Oscar Robertson's all-time single season record with six games to go. Asked his thoughts about potentially breaking the record this week, Westbrook wasn't interested in discussing it following a disappointing loss.

"We gotta win," he said. "That's my thoughts."

It was Westbrook's seventh 40-point triple-double this season, tying him with fellow MVP candidate James Harden for the most in the NBA this season. Westbrook had a 50-point triple-double last week against the Magic, his second of the season, also tied with Harden for the most in the NBA.

Entering Sunday, the Hornets were one of only two teams (along with the Bulls, and not counting the Thunder, of course) Westbrook hadn't recorded a triple-double against. It was Westbrook's sixth consecutive triple-double, and fifth straight with at least 30 points, becoming the first player in NBA history to accomplish that. Earlier this season Westbrook had a streak of seven straight, becoming the first player ever with multiple streaks of at least six games.

Westbrook and Harden also share another piece of NBA history: the only two NBA players with 400 or more turnovers in a single season (Harden has 440; Westbrook has 414). Westbrook added eight more against the Hornets, and has turned it over 29 times in his last four games. The Thunder turned it over 24 times against Charlotte, leading to 32 points.

"Just making bad mistakes and bad decisions on that part, starting with myself," Westbrook said. "Just got to take better care of the ball."

Westbrook is only 11 rebounds and 29 assists away from clinching averaging a triple-double this season. Through 76 games he's averaging 31.9 points, 10.6 rebounds and 10.4 assists per game.

Pels lose to the Bulls 117-110

Boogie had 26 points and 18 rebounds but 7 turnovers

AD had 30 points 11 rebounds

speaking of turn overs.. Jrue Holiday has averaged 1.6 turnovers since he's been moved to shooting guard. When the Cousin's trade first happened, he was a turnover machine, averaging close to 5

My Bulls been playing great lately.
If the playoffs started today, it would be us vs the Cavs.
Which means Bulls win the series in 6....:hmm:

The Bulls winning a playoff series vs A Lebron James led team...man we've seen some unbelievable shit lately so the unthinkable is possible I guess

This nigga Kyrie in a mean slump.

That nigga must be sleepy or something. Now ain't the time to be slumping.

Knicks, 76ers, nets, magic and nets

Bulls can win all those, imho. May lose vs the 76ers tho.
If we can bump up to 6th, we get the Raptors, which increases our chances of advancing.
Go up to 5th, get Wizards, one and done!!

We aint winning a title, but i just wanna see us try to upset someone.

Dude, if LeBron eventually falls to a major injury, Lue needs his ass beat! fuck the #1 seed at the expense of your franchise player, AND you're preparing of a long playoff run... Fuck him!! :hmm:

GS gonna lose only 2 games in the west (vs Spurs or Rockets) then sweep the Cavs.
The East playoffs will be more interesting than the West.

But Lue is not the coach, Bron is bruh! Bron comes out when he wants to. Lue couldn't even handle the situation with Bron and Thompson. I don't know what Bron said to Thompson but he wasn't having it, I never seen someone going off on LeBron like that.
