Official NBA 2016-2017 Thread - 30 teams, 1 goal. 2 weeks left, so much can happen!!

Really bro :hmm:..that is the topic; why talk about phantom bullshit trades; hey let's talk about cousins going to Cleveland :hmm:or Spurs getting Paul; part of talking trades in the nba is salaries other wise it's a waste of air; now melo fitting into wizards..he doesn't rebound well and he doesn't play defense well; they gonna start him at the 4?:hmm:so melo is gonna be a stretch 4 that don't rebound or defend:hmm:and he's gonna be a spot shooter because he's not going to have the ball:hmm::lol: yea ok...have you watch how the wizards play? I've watch plenty of their games and he don't fit; now again answer the question who are they trading to get Melo?

He does rebound well lol
He does play defense when called upon
man all you doing is recycling phil jackson's playbook word for word
wall is a top 5 point guard in the nba and he controlling the pace and setting melo up for the shot would be trouble for eastern conference teams that's already scared of having to contend with that wizards team period.

Stop it. Panic? I think it's HILARIOUS that we're talking about problems for a team that hasn't even lost 10 games yet and another team(Cleveland) that's 34-15. Funny.
Sports Media need drama with this team, they need something to talk about

The cavs said no because they don't have an actual point guard. their point guard is their small forward and they don't need 2 small forward's on the floor at the same time,

Yup Love ass would've been gone if TMo was still on the squad...shit maybe even if Andy.

Yeah ain't no telling but we know Draymond ain't one to bite his tongue for nobody

That was after an empty possession where the shit didn't go right. They started on the court and continued on. They weren't close to throwing hands they were talking about what was going on and what each thought happened on the play.
that's how it's supposed to be done.

Ok but couldn't they play melo at the 4; and if that's the case where would be play on the Wizards? They just gonna give him otto place? im still waiting for you to tell me who the wizards gonna give up for melo

Kevin Durant and Draymond Green had yet another heated exchange
By Charles Curtis February 5, 2017 4:08 pm

Here we go again.

Almost a month ago, Golden State Warriors teammates Kevin Durant and Draymond Green had a not-so-happy exchange by the bench during an eventual loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. At the time, I wrote it wasn’t a big deal — when there’s a team full of superstars, kinks have to be worked out, and it was good it happened long before the playoffs.

But now, there’s this footage from Saturday night’s loss to the Sacramento Kings, in which Durant finished shooting an abysmal 2-of-10 from the floor, missing all six of his three-point attempts and scoring just 10 points (to be fair, he blocked five shots):

The last time this happened, Durant didn’t appear to say much. This time? Looks like quite an angry reaction. There was also this moment after Green shot an airball off a Durant pass with the shot clock running down:

I’m still not sure it’s time to hit the panic button since we’re still pre-All-Star break. But two times in the span of a month? That’s reason for some concern. Still, there’s time for this pair and the entire roster to figure it all out before things really start to count for the Dubs.

Yes really balanced and objective article
they got into an exchange after some dumb shit 2 times in a month and there's reason for some concern.

I don't need to tell you who they're going to give up. If they want to make it work they'll make it work.
And no melo can't just play the 4 you seem to not understand that lebron doesn't want anyone in the mid range or on the block on his team. that's been the M.O. since he went to miami. he can tolerate another guard possibly occupying that spot but not another forward or center.
so melo wouldn't be in the mid range with the cavs he'd be standing at the 3 point line just like love is.
the wizards don't have that restriction. in fact they'd love for a guy to operate mid range and on the block. it would help out a lot.

Nah he's ball dominant and they don't need another ball dominant player since they already have a ball dominant point guard
lol
Because clearly he hasn't been a ball dominant player the last 10 years:hmm:maybe those habits that he has formed over the years will diminished when he's on a new team:hmm::giggle:

Right and that's my point. Like one of these two teams will win the title. They don't have any "real" problems imo. Bron isn't worried about not having enough playmakers for the East, he needs playmakers for the Warriors. Warriors arguing about losing to a Kings team that won't even sniff the playoffs. None of this matters.

The habits matter. Now is the time to argue and get shit straight so in the playoffs you don't have to do it.
Anybody who thought it was going to be perfect was lying to themselves and anybody reading into 2 dudes talking it out right there in the heat of battle as opposed to being passive aggressive sharing a locker room and not saying nothing to each other faces and instead running to the media to talk about it, is tripping.

So you say it would be a good trade for the wizards but u can't tell me how they would make the trade work:hmm::lol:; ok bro i can't rock with you on this one

Over the past 10 years who's the best point guard he's played with.
You can't be ball dominant if you have a damn point guard
It's the difference between niggas saying Harden dominated the ball too much last year- as the sg
and Harden is the mvp of the league this year having the ball in his hands the exact same amount of time as he did last year- switching to point guard.

it would be a good trade im not looking at the roster at the moment but i will later. you can't tell me how it would be a bad trade basketball wise because it wouldn't.
that's why we're talking about salaries. because strictly from a basketball perspective pairing him with john wall makes complete sense.

I just named several reasons..let's revisit..melo is a ball dominant offensive player..he has been for the last 10 plus years..he is not a shooter he is not a spot up shooter..melo creates offense with the ball not without..the wizards have 2 dominate ball players already Beal and wall; both already hold the ball too long at times; both already dribble to much at times; the wizards do not run any type of motion offense; so where would melo fit, no where!!!!melo is past his prime; he doesn't rebound well nor does he play defense well; so a gm is going to put him at the 3 and get rid of an upcoming player that's younger and better defender and doesn't need the ball as much; and let's not forget the younger player is cheaper and will be cheaper for the next 3 years or so when melo is dying lol..yes that makes a lot of bball sense

Shum been hot lately, but that don't do anything for yall

Damn John Wall puts so much pressure on the defense with his speed.

He also hit the floor like 5 times off of missed layups. They need a better backup pg just Incase.

Real talk Cavs are not getting back on D and the turnovers those last couple minutes......Those layups for Wall will eventually turn into and1s.

Man over the last what amount of games this been the constant. Teams probably been shooting somewhere in the 45-50% range against the Cavs.
Yea the wizard been playin great but 60% in the first. Then they want to trade Shump(any folks think Bron run the team )
