Official NBA 2016-2017 Thread - 30 teams, 1 goal. 2 weeks left, so much can happen!!

No fucking way wizards should trade for Melo; maybe Boston but I'm not sure that would work either

you're tripping 100000%
melo is not ball dominant.
he holds the ball and gets his shot when there isn't a competent point guard to get him one PERIOD
everybody gonna have to stop lying and start being real
the nigga is not stopping the knicks from throwint 28 assists a game
especially when he's the 3rd leading assist man on the team. 2 point guards and then HIM leading that team in assists.
wall is going to have the ball run the sets and hit melo up when it's time for him to shoot
and melo is going to stand there and score and not have to create shit it's a perfect setup for melo and wall gets another dude he can depend on in the clutch cause as of now all he has is himself

Dude u sound crazy right now:giggle:; first before i talked about what you just said please answer this; who are the wizards trading to match melo salary:popcorn:

Wizards need another dawg

Beal ain't no dawg

Niggas be wanting these teams to stand pat and they not good enough to win it all as is

What they got to lose

True. People out here building super teams and you just gonna sit around and get ousted in the first round?

Besides Beal is due for another multi-week injury soon as well.

no he does not.
history shows he does not
every year he's had a legit pg his numbers are through the roof
stop buying the false narrative
he is perfectly fine being setup for shots as long as the point guard is distributing the ball
So melo is going to stand around and make jumpers:hmm:what history has shown you this in the nba?

right NOW you have to walk it back and go to salary matching up lol
stick to the topic
if john wall is controlling the game and dishing out assists like he currently does
how is dishing assists to a prolific scorer in melo who can get you 30 every night with minimal effort a bad thing?

Man it's killing me and it's not just on here I see it everywhere

Rumors be out there and people be like ahh man they shouldn't do that I'm just like man why not they not about to ever win with the team they got and you got these super teams in the NBA it's time to try and get better

Like the Clippers trade why hasn't that happened yet?

Come on man y'all staring at another 2nd round departure at best and still ain't pulled the trigger don't got shit to lose

So melo is going to stand around and make jumpers:hmm:what history has shown you this in the nba?

his years with chauncey billups immediately come to mind.
he's fine with making jumpers he'll post up he'll cut to the rim
you judging melo after not having a point guard worth a damn in new york since forever.

derrick rose averages less assists than al hortford but melo is the problem

The Clippers had a legit 5 against three on the court and couldn't score :hmm: All they had were two long threes.

Really bro :hmm:..that is the topic; why talk about phantom bullshit trades; hey let's talk about cousins going to Cleveland :hmm:or Spurs getting Paul; part of talking trades in the nba is salaries other wise it's a waste of air; now melo fitting into wizards..he doesn't rebound well and he doesn't play defense well; they gonna start him at the 4?:hmm:so melo is gonna be a stretch 4 that don't rebound or defend:hmm:and he's gonna be a spot shooter because he's not going to have the ball:hmm::lol: yea ok...have you watch how the wizards play? I've watch plenty of their games and he don't fit; now again answer the question who are they trading to get Melo?

Are you serious? He was a rookie playing with and very young; melo is a ball dominant player; there's a reason why cavs supposedly said no...they don't need another ball dominant non defensive player

Man I don't get why folks think this of Melo

Shit the cavs don't need another sf they need backups center and pg...

If they wouldn't play Love at the 5 that trade would be history...

@largebillsonlyplease talked last night or early this morning about building good habits; playing the right way or a certain way consistently; so it will become 2nd nature right?but yet melo has been playing a certain way for years and all of sudden he's gonna play differently :hmm:because he's on a new team:hmm:yea ok; he's got habits and they will follow; just like some habits have followed KD.....

Yeah ain't no telling but we know Draymond ain't one to bite his tongue for nobody

For The Win

Kevin Durant and Draymond Green had yet another heated exchange
By Charles Curtis February 5, 2017 4:08 pm

Here we go again.

Almost a month ago, Golden State Warriors teammates Kevin Durant and Draymond Green had a not-so-happy exchange by the bench during an eventual loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. At the time, I wrote it wasn’t a big deal — when there’s a team full of superstars, kinks have to be worked out, and it was good it happened long before the playoffs.

But now, there’s this footage from Saturday night’s loss to the Sacramento Kings, in which Durant finished shooting an abysmal 2-of-10 from the floor, missing all six of his three-point attempts and scoring just 10 points (to be fair, he blocked five shots):

The last time this happened, Durant didn’t appear to say much. This time? Looks like quite an angry reaction. There was also this moment after Green shot an airball off a Durant pass with the shot clock running down:

I’m still not sure it’s time to hit the panic button since we’re still pre-All-Star break. But two times in the span of a month? That’s reason for some concern. Still, there’s time for this pair and the entire roster to figure it all out before things really start to count for the Dubs.

True it's simple for me

It's being the system vs part of the system.

part of the system - GS, Spurs

being the system - Lebron, Melo(we seen both of these players be part of systems and flourished, during Olympics under coach K)

Don't know where to put Houston(we know that system well but would it be the same with John Wall/Kyle Lowery/ Kyrie running the show)

KD making a dumb ass play.. you need a mofo like Draymond to keep him honest and focused

KD was playing like dog shit yesterday.. dude wasn't focused at all

Shit yea I fucks with MoufStayWideOpen, all dude needs to do is leave that Shawn Micheal finishing move at home.

Stop it. Panic? I think it's HILARIOUS that we're talking about problems for a team that hasn't even lost 10 games yet and another team(Cleveland) that's 34-15. Funny.

Shit there's a reason why we're talking about them. You can take the first guess?

Cuz one of those teams is gonna win the title

Right and that's my point. Like one of these two teams will win the title. They don't have any "real" problems imo. Bron isn't worried about not having enough playmakers for the East, he needs playmakers for the Warriors. Warriors arguing about losing to a Kings team that won't even sniff the playoffs. None of this matters.

Like bills or whomever said this it's about habits

I agree fam but LBJ looking down the road..he's smart he knows that shit that happened last year not playing out the same this year..but the GS shit is just

The cavs said no because they don't have an actual point guard. their point guard is their small forward and they don't need 2 small forward's on the floor at the same time,
