I would've bought it if it had river city ransom, double dribble, track and field 2, contra, little league championship series, legend of Kane, and ninja Gaiden. But these titles are wack. I still own my original Nintendo. I wonder if that shit works

Rare owns RC Pro AM, it was in there Rare Replay collection. Microsoft owns Rare, so you won't see that game on a Nintendo console anymore
na you missed the follow up post...ended up getting the 500GB joint...my biggest gripe was the lack of reliability for the kodi addons but once I found out I could still use kodi w/ my personal collection I jumped back on...probably a couple weeks after returning the basic model
All these android boxes: eg fire sticks/boxes, shields, and others, old laptops, and cell phones sitting around and the good information here on bgol, you can put all the consoles and roms from NES to GAMECUBE on one device and use a better feeling controller. Plus in the early 200os weren't all those emulation knock off machines flying off the shelves? Like usual Nintendo is late to the party and most pholks are sheep to follow.

As if this week wasn't already front-loaded with console news, Microsoft just approved an emulator for the Xbox One that can play classic Nintendo games.
Universal Emulator, an independent application by developer Nesbox, passed Xbox One certification today. It allows users to play ROMs of NES, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advanced titles. (Yes, this is legally dubious, and yes, TechRadar does not endorse the illegal use of emulators.)
Nesbox's emulator has been available for some time on Windows Phone and PCs. However, porting an emulation program capable of playing a competitor's games to a game console could be the final straw that lands Microsoft into hot water with Nintendo.
Also interesting to note is that Universal Emulator appears to be compatible with Microsoft's HoloLens wearable, as shared by Windows Central's Editor-in-Chief Daniel Rubino.
Representatives at Nesbox's Twitter have stated concerns that the app is taking a long time to go live on Xbox One, though it's unclear if this is due to legal constraints or if the publishing process is just taking its sweet time.

Nintendo has quite a storied history fighting unauthorized emulation, eventually spelling out its very specific legal guidelines for what is or isn't a legal way to play its games, Kotaku points out.
The company is both vigilant and litigious when it comes to unauthorized use of its intellectual property, which was demonstrated as recently as last month with copyright claims made against a fan remake of Metroid II: Return of Samus.
While uploading ROMs of Nintendo games on an emulator is illegal, it's still legitimate to use the Universal Emulator for authorized games, including those developed with the Nesbox Console, which allows users to code their own retro-styled games.
A loophole it may be, but the potential for misuse could still be enough to get Nintendo on the phone with some legal counsel. We have asked representatives at both Nintendo and Microsoft for comment, and will update this story if we hear back.

I'm good. My original still works.
Meh, I have an Nvidia Sheild... I can emulate game systems from c64 and Atari all the way up to PS1 and N64, plus run Kodi, Plex Server, Plex Media Player, and tons of other apps.
Thats all the games they could get licensed

Really..that shit garbage asf then..with today's technology..there should be no reason for no wifi and no USB..fucc em..I was going to cop..cuz of the classics and memories...
this is more for non gamers who grew up with the nes they play for a few days and put it away, you have a get together and you take this out , or put it in your kids room
let them suffer the way we did in ninja gaiden
theres a million other ways to play retro games on the tv but that requires work and downloading roms, this is for people who still rent/buy movies and music same crowd
I'm buying one because it looks like an NES and is officially from nintendo not a third party ,plus only $60
how many garbage $60 games have you bought in your lifetime , i have games that i still haven't played that cost $60
I'm probably not even gonna open mine , on my tv i use a playstation tv for retro gaming
