*** the official 2014-15 nba finals thread ***

He didn't get that many open shots. Delly was on his hip though disrupting his shot. That's not even debatable at this point. He played great defense..it was combination of Curry already being a bit off and then being forced into bad shots. I already said it was one game so I don't know why you're repeating it.

Because that's what he does... Ole Rain Man ass Nicca!

I came in to state the obvious, this is the most exciting finals I remember in a hot minute and I don't even have a dog in the fight (obviously.... fucking Knicks :hmm:)

Curry has great handles, but he's not that much more athletic than Delly.

If your with the Knicks you have a few dawgs fighting

Ummm no GS was down 2-1 to Memphis until they finally figured them out and ran away with the series in 6

I have GS winning in 6 or strong 7...

Don't get too comfortable after 2 games bruh

See thats when your wrong

Key to Memphis series was Tony Allen couldnt score so they left him unattended, packing paints, eventually taking Tony out due to his offensive liability

Now u got this musty ass white boy with defensive skills similiar to Tony but guess what? Dell can score,so lets see what happens:yes:

Curry might not be right after that fall he had in Houston. Here's his numbers since that fall in Houston.

Game 2, Cleveland: 5-for-23 FG, 2-for-15 on 3FG
Game 1, Cleveland: 10-for-20 FG, 2-for-6 on 3FG
Game 5, Houston: 7-for-21 FG, 3-for-11 on 3FG
Game 4, Houston (post-injury): 4-for-9 FG, 3-for-4 on 3FG

Field goal shooting: 26-of-73, 35.6%
3-Point shooting: 10-of-36, 27%

Last night's performance really took a hit on his percentages but it is still something to watch if he continues to shoot bad the next couple games..

Don't forget that Allen had a bad hamstring the last 2 games of that series.

Truth be told...this Cavs version might be more west coast than y'all will give them credit for... Comparing them to Memphis...ummm maybe not but I guess they have the ability to play different type of styles...

Have TT and TMo kinda make them seem throwback...
Escpeically with Kyrie they have

James - facilitator
Kyrie - scoring
Shum - defender
TT - rebounder
TMo - defender, rebounder & lil midrange

curry and thompson been shooting lights-out since BEFORE the playoffs even started. i said long ago that either both or one of them would HAVE TO cool off eventually, and this may be the time.

thompson doesn't move well on defense; so he's foul prone and slashers recognize that with him. he gets hot and scores, but then, you have to take him out due to fouls.

green was missing in action. mofo ain't scored worth a fuck last night.

as for curry, the time is now. he might not get another run like this... cause ain't shit guaranteed in the nba. put some fucking dirt on your injury(ies) AND PLAY BALL, NICCA. :hmm:

as for lebron, he's doing it all... facilitating, scoring, rebounding, leading, taking the big shots, etc. ALL DAT SHIT. he's a freak athlete, but he can't keep ALL that shit up the whole series... he's gotta get tired eventually.

Deli cannot fuckin score, if u call that ugly ass floatin bullshit he does scoring man listen

You saw how when he was on Klay he just shot right over him.. I think the adjustment will be to have Livingston run point.. Deli will get posted up all night and into foul trouble, curry will move to the 2 and run off screens while Klay at the 3...

You will see that lineup in the middle of the first quarter of game 3

For all you cats who just started watching Cavs games this year, Deli can play defense. He isn't going to try to block a jump shot, so he rarely leaves his feet. He really doesn't go for steals, so shake and bake all you want. He just tries to stay in front to make a shot tough. It's what he does. He will shoot better at home too(he can catch and shoot, just has trouble creating). All of them will.

Cats keep talking about Curry but forget Klay had fucking 20 at half.

What's fucked up is now Delly ain't 100 percent. :smh:

I never understood the narrative that Thompson is a great defender, he's good but not great. He has length that can trouble shorter guards. Curry and Thompson benefit from having Bogut and Green to help if a guard blows by them.

Fuck u mean Deli ain't 100%? He needs to be 100% for the slow roast that's coming his way

i don't even think thompson is good. imo, he's an AVERAGE defender.

he does play good backside help defense tho.

but bogut is slow and green is aggressive but undersized. green didn't even show-up to the game til the 4th quarter.

GS's offense was STALE as fuck last night. there was no ball movement. they played "melo" ball = you got it, shoot it. fuck it.

thing is GSW will likely win this series....but the idea that the Cavs are going to roll over for them should be gone

the Cavs as a team have that pitbull in them.....and GSW has not had to face a defence like them so far in the playoffs(Memphis had them for a time but Tony Allen went down)

Tyrone Lue..their defensive architect has shown that he is worth every dollar they are paying him to be an assistant coach...

Man I said something to this tone earlier in this thread..

This coaching staff have done a pretty good job with what they got. I know we give Lebron credit but this team as a whole is very prepared

Folks would have been ready to nail Blatt to a cross for keeping Mozgov out when GS went small, but he made the right adjustment. So refreshing after seeing the inept Mike Brown fuck up this team during Lebron's last run.

Movgov is good, but in crunch time TT is better equipped covering the switch
