*** the official 2014-15 nba finals thread ***

Shaq would overpower him.

They might be a wash in the power department, but Wilt wasn't as fond of sour dough burgers as Shaq was.

Wilt has inflated numbers due to his era. Fewer black players due to racial quotas and the pace, but in the modern era he would have matched Shaq's numbers. Both would be the best centers today.

Bigs(freaky power, size, and quickness) like Shaq and Wilt are once in 30 year players. We still waiting for another iteration 23 years after Shaq. :smh: :smh: :smh:

In the modern era wilt would have had to play against better players so I don't know if he would have matched Shaq numbers. Shaq was one of a kind he was a dominant beast he was bigger and more forceful than any other center and Wilt wouldn't have been able to contain him especially during those 3 years Shaq won those titles in LA.

STOP.

Dude was an ATHLETE.

He wouldn't put up the numbers he did back when he played, but with his physical talents he would be the best center in the NBA today.

You do know that nba players today are athletes right? And guess what, they are playing against other full time professional athletes not fucking dentists and shit.

I give it too Bron hes doing more than he was when he was with the Cavs the first go round and Miami his last year..

Can he sustain it for the next 6 games..

You must not remember much. He put the cavs on his back every season no one can say he took a series off. This dude single handedly dismantled the super pistons.

When he was younger, he's much older now..

I'm actually happy to see him move to the PG roll, he's extra comfortable with that roll.. But again it comes down to the Cavs bench and the consistency of his teammates..

Cavs been stepped up just barely lol

Those hall of famers you listed played against a lot of mediocre players. Shaq played against way better other centers. Bill Russell played in the era when it was mostly white players in the nba and they weren't even that good.

Shaq got swept in the playoffs by slow white players like Rik Smits, Luc Longley, & Greg Ostertag.

Those players never dominated Shaq they just had better teams at that time. The only center that got the best of Shaq was Hakeem Olajuwon in 1995 in the finals when Shaq was still in his learning stage.

Anybody thinking Deli played no part in Curry having a bad shooting night needs to go back and rewatch the game or find a replay with just the shots he took with Deli on him... Curry shot 3 airballs today...Deli was picking him up at half court... he never got comfortable

Man stop. It is a reason no one is buying your logic:lol:

The over analyzing of a game by fans is ridiculous. Curry simply had a off night and come Tuesday he will roast Dell.

Curry will adjust once he looks at the game tape because I was saying since the Cavs was playing the jump shot they were anticipating him on shooting so it wasn't so much Deli's defense individually but it was the help on the pick and roll..

I was saying Curry needed to start driving to the hoop and dishing.. There was 2 plays where curry shook Deli on the dribble and drove to the hoop for the layup with ease and another play where he drove to the hoop and dished it to Barnes for the layup.. It was simple

Curry need not bail out the Cavs of his shit ain't falling but trust it def wasn't deli on individual defense that contained Curry..

Oh yeah Cavs better than Tony Brothers because them niggas blew that 11 pt lead with 3 mins left in the 4th..

I still have GS in 6 or strong 7

cac was in the kids pocket bro. Curry usually does his most damage either in transition or on the switch with the pick. They slowed the ball game down and limited transition points and Delly did a great job of fighting over picks and staying with Curry. Theres really not much adjusting they can do for that. Curry will just have to make shots (which he will im sure). But as much as i hate to admit it, Delly bum ass played him great.

I remember reading earlier how he and Kyrie used to have to be broken up in practice because how the ofay D'ed Mr. Glass Jr. up. They said he used to get in Kyries shit in practice last year. GS should def be concerned going into that hostile environment game 3.

Dude curry was shooting jump shots he wasn't making, the moment he decided to drive Deli was getting his ass cooked.. And I'm telling you now if Joey Crawford is the ref GS winning that game and will get the majority of the calls..

I called it with Tony Brothers officiating game 2.. Shit is like clock work with those clowns

steph is 4-21 from 3 in the finals

Off shooting night my ass

The Cavs have defended GSW extremely well in this series.....and it shouldnt be a surprise because they have been getting in teams ass on the defensive end for well over two months now

You niggas need to stop during the Memphis series on those 2 games GS lost Curry shot the ball like straight shit..

He will get it together that's not the issue.. And the fact that the Cavs are allowed to play physical on the defensive end while GS wasn't should tell u what's up..

Tony Brothers is a faggit

The number one rated defense of GSW isnt allowed to play physical in the finals on their home court....

nah no one is buying that fam lol

Well...I mean for a man his size, his athletic ability as a 7 footer was unparalleled at the time. I can't even believe I have to defend Wilt Chamberlain's basketball ability. Wtf.

The people who make it as GOATS do so because they're considered as players that would succeed in any generation.

If Wilt came into the NBA next season, with the advancements the NBA has seen as far as player development? Keep in mind that while the talent back then wasn't what it is now, the sports science now is much more advanced, and that it's not like Wilt wasn't putting up amazing numbers- he was putting up UNREAL numbers.

In today's NBA I have no doubt that he would be putting up prime Shaq numbers.

Name a 7footer in the NBA that was also a track star.

How old are you? Shaq came in at the tail end of a bunch of great center's careers. It's not his fault, but his dominance came past the primes of the great players in his era, and his titles came during s time where there were NO GREAT CENTERS.

In fairness, shaqs dominance made teams get bigger at the 5, and pushed natural 5's to the 4, like Tim Duncan (partly also because Robinson was already on the team, but he never reclaimed his natural position upon Robinson's retirement)

Warriors giving Delladova false confidence. Ty Lawson would cook that white dude. Curry needs to wake up.

 hilairious

Just as much as ya'll giving credence to that logic that Curry just all of sudden had a bad night and defense had nothing to do with it...Yeah, I trust JR to play better at home

Nah it ain't giving credence.. Just go back to the games the Warriors lost to Memphis in the last series.. Look at curry stat line those 2 games.. Looked mighty like they look now until he figured that shit out lol

JR Starks will do more bone headed shit that train is never late
