*** the official 2014-15 nba finals thread ***

One thing the Cavs are making several adjustment, with out Kyrie, they are pacing themselves a lot better and seem to put more effort into making it a half court game..
Next game G.S. is going to have to make a bigger effort of pushing the ball up and making it a scoring affair..
I think them knowing Irving is out, they are better off than losing him in the game or not knowing how much you can get out of him at least you can have a different approach to the game..

honestly......this game could have been out of reach for GS, if Mozgov would have played more in the second half.
he was causing problems and alot of foul trouble for GS when he was in.

Cleveland played a smart game. Iso and milking the clock to break the GS flow and keep the game low scoring.

If LeBron gets 40 and the score is 120 points, he needs 80 points from other players to win. If he gets 40 in a 90 point game, he only needs 50 points from everyone else to win.

Of course not. I just find it laughable that they want to pass this off as something other than Steph having a bad game.

It definitely plays a part so...what's your point? You don't think it's possible for the defender to play a part in a player having abad game, or do you think he had a bad game independent of the kind of defense he faced?

Yeah Golden State had 59 points to start the 4th quarter. In the West they was getting 60+ by the half. Gotta give Cleveland defense a lot of credit so far these first 2 games.

Many people are into the spectacular and amazing, but sometimes its the hard work and hustle that win games... Funny with Irving and Love the Cavs are one of the best run and gun teams in teh league but with the injuries they are forced to chance their whole identity an style of play..

It wasn't just Steph having a bad game. He shot poorly but the little CAC was sticking to him like glue off the ball and not giving him space. Plus, he was "under" him on his shot and players can have issues getting comfortable when you're under them like that. Deli played great defense...you can't take that away from the dirty bastard...but Steph was off from the start too..

when you're cold like that, you've got to drive to the rack. This is the Finals...that's where inexperience comes in...you don't shoot yourself out of that shit in the NBA FInals

Yea I think this the biggest takeaway from the game for me...I noticed the score in the 3rd:eek:..

Lebron been in so many grind out games it's a shame...
Shit that was to Heat's approach the last two years.

I know y'all key call for Timothy to get more time, but him guarding Green for extend time will cost you. Plus that lineup do a pretty good job on the pick and rolls. Thompson is better suited defensively in crunch, unless your planning to pound the ball in the post. Also remember the spacing, if you have TT and TMo in late.

I think you can get away with it, but I'm not the coach...

I said this during the Hawks vs Cavs series Love will be greAtly missed against GSW...
It's showing where his skills set, would change the game. Rebounding and shooting would be there, he don't have to hit the shot just being a threat changes things.

Cavs been adapting all playoffs like a fucking pathogen. They knew Irving was toast game 1 of Atlanta. It's amazing that they have controlled both these games but there 'lead problems' are exposed by GS whereas the Bulls and the Hawks couldn't capitalize on the Cavs fucking up leads.

Cavs get leads and just fuck up like no other team. GS makes them pay for it.

Steph Curry, my boy, the league's MVP who been blazing up the West the last 2 months lookin unstoppable, just had his worst game of the playoffs against an EASTERN CONFERENCE opponent. How can this be? Maybe the East aint as weak as previously projected on BGOL.

Say the Warriors win the series but Lebron have three more games like this...do y'all give hi the finals MVP....

Curry have two good games...
Klay goes off again...
Green shows out...

Lebron have 35 points, 10, rebs and 8 assist in 3 of the remaining 5 games?

Man the east ain't Weak, kats just talking that shit...We know it's about matchup, this probably the best matchup for the this injured riddle Cavs team.

I doubt they would have enough for the likes of:
Rockets
Spurs
Grizzles

But a healthy squad would...

Wilt wasn't no damn best bruh he was bigger than every damn body that's why he stats was so damn good. he played against mostly smaller white dudes in his era.

The East is weak..it's just top-heavy...it's not good top to bottom like the West. If you get out of the East, you still have to be a good team though...but it's top heavy with just a couple of really good teams.

It's just like Patriots coming out of that weak ass division..its garbage but THEY'RE a good team.

It's like how the West used to be when the Lakers were running shit in the 80s..West was bammer

Anybody thinking Deli played no part in Curry having a bad shooting night needs to go back and rewatch the game or find a replay with just the shots he took with Deli on him... Curry shot 3 airballs today...Deli was picking him up at half court... he never got comfortable

Cats forgetting when Beal from Washington said Delly was the best defender that he faced. This was before the Cavs became popular and Delly was busting his ass on D and diving on floors for a shitty ass Cavs team.

The Aussie is like having something in your fucking shoe to the point where you have to take that bitch off and shake it out to see wtf is going on -- but in this case you can't do that. Run through picks and that fuck is still in front of you like

Delly is good for specific players, I mean Thompson ate him up due to his lack of size, but he is perfect for Curry...

Curry shot 0-8 against Delly in half-court sets.. that's no coincidence.

STOP.

Dude was an ATHLETE.

He wouldn't put up the numbers he did back when he played, but with his physical talents he would be the best center in the NBA today.

If Kyrie can stay healthy, he WILL be a problem!
True...but it didn't go like that.
Man. You're being overly critical on Lebron. If he didn't play as well as he did, this game wouldn't have even made it to OT. He can't play perfect ball man.
Basically...
Yeah.. but he's the type of brittle mofo that would be out for the year on some shit like that..most players dont even get hurt there... just like Kyrie steps on a mofos foot and injuries a knee..some players just have brittle bodies.. neither one of them have never been close to getting through a season without missing major time...so you knew it would happen this year.. I was screaming it before the season started... both those muthafuckas always miss major time, that's why I thought it was silly to trade the rookie away and have a "big 3" with two mofos who are always hurt.
And you were right.
These young ballers need to watch some tape of NBA games played in the years that start with 19__(whatever)___. (Before 2000)

In Particular, overtime games with...
- McHale
- Ewing
- Robinson
- Shaq
- Parrish
- Moses Malone
- Duncan
- Olajuwon

When you are struggling too score in Overtime....
Feed the post.

You just need a player that can post with his back to the basket and create a good shot.... or get fouled. (and it doesn't even have to be a Big Man :smh: guards like Gary Payton, Sam Cassell, Jason Kidd, MJ, and a few others knew how to post-up & back their defender down.)

Without that.... that's when you see all the 'wild shots'... and lots of scrambling around.
:itsawrap:

Is this dude even 23 yet?!!
Lest we forget, one of Allen Iverson's biggest commercials was the one that showed everywhere he had been injured and played with that injury.

That commerical made this infograph look like a bad shot chart...compared to the commercial.

He is brittle, though...
A CAC gets a touch foul but the best player of his generation doesn't get a whistle on a tackle
MAN, LISTEN...them calls for LeBron go beyond the court.

He can't be controlled and the league acts accordingly and that's REAL.:hmm:
happiest nigga in the world right now is JR SMITH

:lol::lol::lol:
