*** the official 2014-15 nba finals thread ***

And JR is JR. Shit, have to take the good with the bad. Without him, Cavs ain't even here.

I can live with that. Can live with him going 5-5 in the next game first half then 0-10.

Can't live with Lebron settling. It's just too much. It's like he tries to prove he can do shit he don't have to prove. Just hit the lane.

Put Bron on the Rockets, Warriors, Grizz, a lot of teams out West and he goes to the Finals every year still. He'd have more talent around him than in the East. And a lot of Western teams don't believe in defense.

that's a totally irrelevant argument.

the argument is that this cavs team as presently constructed would not make it out of the west like it did the east period.

not just take lebron and magically place him on those teams.

take this entire cavs team and put them in the playoffs in the west.

Yeah man that's why I have to look funny when they talk about Bron making it to the Finals again. Do that shit out West and i'm impressed. In the East.....man this might've been the easiest road to the Finals that Lebron has ever had. Shit man I think the Suns and a Thunder team without Durant would've put up a better fight against the Cavs than some of these teams.

The East is bammer... what happens is that he has the easiest road possible to the Finals..but he's going to play a really good team once he gets there. That's what he's faced his entire career...So if he wins a title,he's beating a good team.. but it's just an easy road... like Brady and the fucking Patriots... they're gonna play a good team in the SB, but they get that easy fucking division every year.

Lee doesn't need to play. He's the worst defensive player on the team. That's why he sits.
Thompson isn't a scorer. He kills on the offensive glass. Lee is 6'9" and he can rebound. Lee's defensive shortcomings are a non-issue since the only person scoring on the Cavs is Lebron.

Every year?? So you saying the Spurs, Warriors and Grizzlies don't believe in defense? Nah man, Bron would still be in the mix but he not making the finals five years in a row if he played in the West. I don't knock his decision but there's a reason why he stayed in the EC all his career...

The thing about Rose is he gets hurt making normal basketball plays.

That shit is scary

The acl tear was off a normal play...but everything else was because of him compensating or going too hard...which is probably one of the reasons he took it easy in game 6.

But as for Kyrie...just heard him speak...dude is done. Acl tear??? :dunno: Dude looked mad depressed and concerned. He had that D ROse look.

I cant see him coming back and risking doing more damage to help a team that wasnt gonna win a title to begin with. Just pack it up and get ready for next year like Love.

I think the Cavs wont win a title this year nor next year. Then theyll fire their coach and hire Tom Tibby for 2016-2017 season. That would be hilarious....in more ways than 1.

Its a bullshit argument created to slight Kosi's accomplishment cuz no one else since Russell has done it. Mofos wanna move the entire Cavs to the West and not the player. Put Bron on any West squad and he would wreck shop on that entire conference. He'd have more talent around him and get to play a lot more teams that dont stress defense. And this aint baseball, East & West teams DO play each other all the time.

Thompson and a lot of the Cavs players were too flat footed with out the ball.. When the Warriors picked up on it, they extended their front line leaving the base line wide open, but with no movement the Cavs never took advantage of what they were giving them..

Great regulation game, in overtime there was no fuel in the tank... I think both teams have room for improvements.. Looks like Irving is toast, usually when you have minor knee injuries its good by two weeks.. If he is still suffering this bad after all that rest the injury may be something can can be career threatening..

Not true.

Had doctors on in Atlanta who said that Kyrie could not injure the knee any further and he just has to deal with pain.

The doctors mentioned that he just needs rest. About 3 weeks to a month.

And Blatt just said hes still with the doctor. :smh:

 There was a story out the other day that said a lot of these big time free agents will be heading to the EC because they know what's up.

Let's say last offseason instead of staying with MIA, Bron decided to go to Houston. Yall dont sign Ariza. So you give LeBron, Harden, Beverly, Dwight, Brewer, Smith and a bunch of other role guys and he cant come out the West?

That's yet to be seen. He very well may still get there but there's a big ass difference between facing the Spurs and facing the Atlanta Hawks.

The Cavs played the Boston Celtics who were trying to tank and had no business in the post season.

that's a totally irrelevant argument.

Exactly. You can't even use that argument. You put Melo on the Cavs and he's a NBA champion. You put Steph Curry on the Cavs and he's a NBA champion. That argument ain't valid here. You can use that for any star in this league.

Well I say that about the Pats too. They get to play them sorry ass teams all year...them and the Colts.

I just feel it takes more wear and tear for teams to face competition all year than it does for a team to just stay in cruise control.

I mean there was a time when shit you had few teams who had a shot like the Bulls and the Pacers.....but the East right now is not even a legit conference. I still can't get off how the Bucks and the Celtics were in the playoffs......to me that's like the Kingss making the playoffs out West.

Bron may have truly played himself going to the Cavs and having to rely on Love and Irvings health. I was sold on it being with Wiggins and Irving and Thompson and Waiters. I thought having youth and athletes around Bron was gonna be too much to handle for teams.

And they going to quickly realize that LB owns the East, so the only things happens is that they loose to LB in the EC finals.

I don't believe they said could not. Probably unlikely.

But it's never good when something is hurt and you need rest to heal. Hope he is well. Also, hope his fragile ass leaves summer ball alone like I wanted last year. :smh: :smh: :smh:

I think youre more delusional about LBJ and the Cavs than ROad Rage is at this point.

See yall for game 2!!!

Of course they would come out the West, for this year when you tally up all what has happened. Shit, Darryl Morey tried to reel Bron in every time he was a free agent but like I said Bron knows the East is the easier path to the finals. I don't begrudge him for that.

no it is not. it is to point out that this team would not do what it did in the west. they lost 2 games in 3 rounds in the fucking playoffs. this team would not do that in the west period.

stop it.

you conceded the point your own self in your rush to try and shoot this down.

he would have MORE TALENT his team is lacking the talent necessary to win in the west in the playoffs this season. that's all there is to it.

If I could screen capture the Warriors defense late 4th quarter you would see that there was no player guarding the baseline, and when this happens you take a taller guy run him strait down the baseline under the defense and either force them to extend their defense of be free for a ally opp from the baseline.. In stead of doing this, the Cavs stood flat footed wondering who is supposed to set up the high screen..
The only time they tried to attack with their big man was when Mazgov was called for traveling, but after that play they did nothing more..

This time of the year you will read some of Road Rage posts......I don't know what the fuck it is about the NBA Finals but that nigga loses his mind. Last year he stayed on BGOL 48 straight hours no sleep or work arguing how the Spurs turned the air condition off because they knew it would only cramp up LEbron. He almost got fired from work fucking around.

I was sold on it being with Wiggins and Irving and Thompson and Waiters. I thought having youth and athletes around Bron was gonna be too much to handle for teams.

That's what I was saying..because I knew with that squad they would be able to run with the squads out west. He would have some youth...and would get better very year. You can deal with one player getting hurt..you can't build a team around two muthafuckas that are ALWAYS hurt...and Kyrie is never going to be 100 percent.at least not for long...he's had too many injuries.

TERRIBLE traveling call on the big man (that was the game imo), poor last shot by Lebron....and he just go too tired.

Lebron played about as perfect as you could 1 on 5 in the NBA finals. impressive...no way a 260 pound man can bring the ball up, pound the paint, play defense on guards with absolutely no help from the bench.

I thought it might go 7, but this shit is a sweep without Irving, that knee is done. Motsgov has some fucking heart. not worth 2 1st rounders but dude has a bright future.

basketball heads, how did Tristan keep ending up on Curry at the end of the game?? it happened over and over. and why in the hell couldn't the offensive Russian guru cav's coach not map out better plays at the end of the game and in overtime.:smh::smh::smh:

I wouldn't go that far. Let's say Aldridge, Jordan and all the best free agents start going East. Then lets say Durant joins Wall and Beal in Washington in 2 years. The Eastern playoffs will be a lot tougher for Bron...

It was that famous doctor in Miami. Forget his name. He mentioned that structurally there was nothing wrong with Kyrie's knee and he just needed rest which he could not obviously get. He mentioned that he could not damage it by playing.

Kyrie did mention after the game that he felt something he did not feel before. If he was over compensating that can be an issue.
