lol i said this in 2013. once they stopped with the killing shit i knew the show would end up like this. you cant build a show up one way then suddenly go the other way.
and like you said the whole time u watching the show u know damn well whats going to happen. like a least give us the element of surprise. the flash left this show way behind

Sometimes I wonder if the creatives and networks are at odds...so on the last Arrow - Oliver throws in the Alpha and Omega virus into the cell with his "former" team and then proceed to marry Nyssa - Felicity is leaning against Diggle - slowly "dying" - fade to Arrow Logo ---2 seconds later - coming attractions for next week - the whole crew is fine - Oliver is fighting against the League, etc ,etc...listen we all know that they are not killing Felicity nor Diggle but Malcolm might have died - whatever - leave us some suspense...even if its momentary next week.

I need to stop counting the times she was almost stabbed or killed through her growth & let it go that they won't let her go; Speedy's skinny ass is about to suit up again next but her skills are a touch more tangible.

it was said that the folks who make the trailer for the next episodes don't work with the folks who do the shows. the trailer makers jobs is to make the coming attractions to get viewers interested in the watching the show.

It is what it is and is beyond laughable at this point. Its sorta like in StarTrek when federation personnel with Starfleet combat training are able to take it to Klingon Warriors that eat, sleep, study, raised culturally on all things combat.
This show has made the League very soft! Hell Oliver with all his training on his best day would have problems with a "minor" league member assassin.

This could potentially be 'good news' for Arrow, in general.
Think about it...
They get rid of The Atom/Ray Palmer who really only served as an awkward '3rd-wheel' between Felicity & Oliver during this whole season..
PLUS..... they get rid of that Laurel chic at the same time by moving BOTH their asses to a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT tv show....
(so the viewers who actually LIKE these 2 characters won't be left completely out in the cold & still have something to 'look forward to'. 
)Which leaves room for the writers to bring Sara back (using the Lazarus Pit?
), or just introduce a few other kick-ass (female?) characters next season on Arrow.If the showrunners play it right....
It could be a 'win-win' situation.
By getting rid of the annoying characters who (the majority of) Arrow fans DISLIKE THE MOST on this show.... in favor of some 'new blood', or 'fan favorites'
This could allow them to get back to the original 'gritty' roots of Season 1.
For some viewers, all it takes is an 'announcement' of the right characters / actors joining the cast to turn Season 3 of the Arrow... into Season 2 of the Wire (which alot of folks didn't like so much)... BEFORE Marlo, Chris & Snoop show up in Season 3
... or the school kids like Mike, Namond, Randy & Dukie appear in Season 4. But we will see.

Agreed. I can definitely see Felicity giving the company back to Oliver, when it's all said and done.
As for Laurel... I think it might take 'a whole season' to FULLY write her off the show.
Mainly because she has way more interconnected storylines (especially with her father) that will need to come to a breaking point/climax... before an ultimate resolution (ie leaving the show completely)
If they write Laurel off the show, it changes the entire 'dynamic' between Oliver and Detective Lance in unpredictable ways. (ie Would they keep him around too? Who knows?
)Whereas, Ray Palmer's stories really only involve Felicity... So they could write him off the show in just 1, 2 or 3 episodes (out of 23), at max.
