Got all of G2 stuff
Got all of Beast Wars
Got all of Beast Machines
Got all of Machine Wars
Got all of Robots In Disguise
Got most of Armada
Got some of Energon
Got some of Cybertron
Got all of Animated
Got all of the released Masterpieces and Takara re-issues and some of the rare Japanese TFs:yes:

oh i already banned this trilogy from my life

didnt see this shit and wont be seeing the next 2 fuck bey
You can catch it on cable or Netflix fam, it's not THAT bad. At least then you can pause and stop and comeback as much as you want. I thought "Amazing Spider Man 2" was worse than this.

Galvetron sounded and acted like Megatron
Good notice! Because for the first time they actually got the actual voice of Megatron-Frank Welker-to do Galvatron.

Hugo Weaving's Megatron's voice was so processed that it didn't even sound like him in the end

naw i got sucker in by 1,2 and 3

ill be damn if i watch 4,5, and 6

I get its a action flick but the way he fucks up the source material is what get me he is all over the place. I've said it once ill say it again i dont under stand why he just didnt make 1,2, and 3 follow the Unicron arch.................

Its a simple yet intriguing storyline that easily could have been broking up into 3 movies.........................

I liked the first one.

Didn't like the second one.

The third mostly made up for the second one.

To me, this fourth one is the second best one.

Thing about this movie is that they have 2 storylines going that could have been standalone stories. Lockdown really could have carried a movie by himself. If they had him and a group of bounty hunters with him that could have been a film to itself. The story of humans hunting Transformers could have been a film all to itself also. Kelsey Grammer was actually good a human villain. It was different seeing Optimus out of his normal "don't harm humans" comfort zone. Of course we've known since G1 that all Autobots don't feel as strongly about humans or Earth as Prime does (like Sunstreaker use to voice his opinion about both, and Huffer complained about everything). The rebuilding of Megatron as Galvatron by humans reminded me of Transformers Animated when Dr. Sumdac helped rebuild Megatron. He used his head and reverse engineered a lot of technology which helped build his company.

Putting both of those together stretched out things a lot.

Truth be told, I'm actually AFRAID of how Unicron will turn out on the big screen. Galactus is not Unicron's size and they turned him into a big ass galactic storm cloud, just think what Unicron will be...a space station or some shit.:smh: That's why I'm honestly not mad about Unicron not showing up. I'd rather not have him than be fucked up:smh:

Man im actually excited because with all this CGI i think they need to leave Unicron just like he appears on the cartoons they can make him a planet easily. If done right they can restore my faith in the shit.

Oh and they definitely would have to get the dude from the 1986 movie to do unicron voice i will have it no other way. His voice was the best besides soundwave

I haven't seen the new movie but my problem with humans hunting transformers is the fact that transformers was never about HUMANS!!!!

Another thing i would love to see that will get me back into the franchise is more combiner bots

Devestator (redo)
Bruticus
Defensor
Superion
Computron
Predaking
Abomonus
Menasor

The make a good predaking and im sold he was my favorite combiner bot and in the comics he almost.......... almost handed megatron ass to him

Unfortunately Orson Welles (the voice of Unicron) is dead. Transformers: The Movie was the last film he did, and he died almost a year before it's release in 1986.

Yeah I would like more combiners too! Devastator was totally done wrong! My favorite group was the Stunticons:yes:

By now everyone basically knows what they're going to get when they go see a Michael Bay film.He has only diverted
from his usual directorial course in a few other films..I can't completely dismiss his big action films because of the usual bad
and grating dialogue, scenesthat go on to long and at least 2 obnoxious characters. In Transformers: Age of Extinction
Mark Wahlberg,Kelsey Grammer,Titus Welliver and Stanley Tucci manage to rise above the aforementioned several times.
The plot is almost the same as Transformers: Dark of the Moon, but fortunately Bay and writer Ehren Kruger have conjured up
some new and interesting heroes and villains.

I have so much respect for the hard work that goes into films like this. The SFX,the sound,CGI,and 3D that are so immersive
i felt like i was part of the movie at times. That respect i have goes back to the reason i cant completely say oh the whole movie is horrible because of this and that.So in saying that i grade Transformers: Age of Extinction like this

Acting,script,dialogue
Scale of 1-10 a 3

Action,3D,CGI,Sound

Scale of 1-10 a 10

When these films come up,

I always feel I have to preface my posts with the fact that I was never a "TRANSFORMERS" fan. That 80s cartoon was way too silly for me. I still can't understand why some people treat the shit like it was some Emmy-Awarding winning, game-changing 80s show.

But I do have a fondness for "BEAST WARS". That show was extremely well written. And the characters had a lot at stake. Which made them involving.

That said...

I really enjoyed this latest film.
Just as much as the last one (which I saw twice).

If anything, Michael Bay is one of the most technically proficient directors out there. Regardless of story, Dude is always on his game.

Other than Bay's use of interesting great camera angles, I love the fact that with the robot battles, they take place during the day. One of the major complaints about films like "PACIFIC RIM", "GODZILLA", etc is that fights are in night shots, which makes it easier for SFX teams because not much has to be shown and it some cases, it's less complicated to produce.

Bay takes a lot of chances with productions like this. And with his clout, you know he doesn't give a shit and he's going to get what he wants.

And Dude has great pacing too. Film didn't even feel like (almost) 3 hours. It went by fast to me.

And MY DUDE...TITUS WELLIVER...

When is someone going to give this Cat an action series already???

It's not about being a transformers fan, it's about being a fan of movies with a real, engaging story.

If all I wanted to see were explosions and effects, i would just watch CGI animator's demo reels.

There are two types of Sci-fi movies. Those two are story driven and action driven.

Transformers 4 is an action driven sci-fi movie where the action is at the forefront of the movie. So you must keep in mind what type of movie you are viewing.

With that said I really liked this movie. The action and special effects were really good. The story and pacing was good as the movie did not seem to last 3 hours.

The action and special effects were really good.

besides the character designs this is some of the worst cgi for a movie with this type of budget in modern cinema.

do you realize why they had morphing transformers instead of transforming transformers?

and that morphing shit looked terrible. it looked like the end battle between blade and frost when frost could regenerate his parts from frigging 1998.

if they are going to do something at least do it well. don't have me go and pull up the clips.

I was done after the first one which I only saw once it was on TV anyway. I don't know how y'all can watch them fight scenes, I can't tell wtf is going on with the shit ass design they used for the Transformers. I can't tell the ass-end from the head to the arms and legs of them shits. Fight scenes seriously just look like one big pile of junk.

not to mention he didnt like doing Unicron's voice either..
Yep!
Apparently, Mr. Welles was tough to work with. He didn't take voice direction very well, and his first viewing of the script was on the day he came in to record his lines.

Welles hated working on Transformers: The Movie, where he voiced Unicron. When asked about the film, he not only couldn't remember the name of his character, but he described the film as "I play a big toy who attacks a bunch of smaller toys."

"You know what I did this morning? I played the voice of a toy. Some terrible robot toys from Japan that changed from one thing to another. The Japanese have funded a full-length animated cartoon about the doings of these toys, which is all bad outer-space stuff. I play a planet. I menace somebody called Something-or-other. Then I'm destroyed. My plan to destroy Whoever-it-is is thwarted and I tear myself apart on the screen."

-Orson Welles

Go rewatch Terminator 2 and reread what you just typed.

You can have a movie with great action and a great story.

Bruh...

Most of the whining in this thread is coming from "TRANSFORMERS" fans.

And most of these films today are nothing but "CGI Animator's Demo Reels".

But let's be real...

If you're looking for a "real, engaging story" about Giant Fighting Robots, then stick with Anime/Mecha. That media has all the time in the world to develop and tell those type of stories.

Like the original "TRANSFORMERS" cartoon had "real, engaging stories":rolleyes::rolleyes:

I took it for what it was.
And enjoyed it.

So at what point do some of you stop watching? It is the 4th movie.

Sent From My Galaxy S5

i stopped bro like i said before they can have the next 2 also im not going to pay for heartache

i added the first 3 to my transformer collection but i dont know if im even going to buy this shit on blue ray

:smh::smh::smh::smh::smh: i really dont feel like breaking this all the way down but if you know anything about transformers and the backstory you would probably expect more from these movies as well.

Look im not saying this have to be a cinematic master piece. But he could have mad some since outta all the source material that was out there.

This shit is at 16% at rotten tomatoes
That's critic reviews. I never go by critic reviews. I remember them slamming "Blade" when it first came out and I think they have it "Rotten" too (though not as low as TF4). I look at the audience rating part, since those are the normal people paying for tickets to the films. So far the audience is at "like it" at 60%.

Fam it's not really fair bringing up Terminator 2. Terminator 2 is one of my all time favorite films. James Cameron, one of my favorite directors. I saw Terminator 2 four times at the movies when I was 12 (in 1991). Recorded it on VHS off of cable back then (and that was back when it took forever for a film to come on cable channels), bought the VHS, bought the DVD, and got the Blu Ray.

I put Terminator 2 over the often over-inflated "The Dark Knight" and many, many others.:itsawrap:

BTW...

Did anyone else here catch the "T2" reference?

When Wahlberg gets ready to work on the "Optimus Prime/rig",
He slaps it and says "JUDGEMENT DAY!"

That was the same style truck used...

There were not many action scenes in the terminator 2. The reason you didn't notice the lack of action scenes was due to great pacing.
