all of this is fine, folks, but y'all need to really discover the power of samsung kies.

the ability to wirelessly connect your phone to your computer and control the sumbitch is just awesome. you can upload anything on your computer direct to your phone, no wires... lightning fast, answer texts, etc.

i just keep learning more & more shit using this phone and these apps.

Gonna check it out now and see for myself. I've been using Allshare Play and it does the same as far as uploading to the computer. I also have the Allshare Cast Hub that lets me wirelessly mirror whats on my phone screen to my tv screen.

on allshare, kies, & wifi direct, i can't see switching back to any other platform.

I got rid of S Voice and re-assigned the home button. Now when I double tap it, Google Voice Search opens.

Here is how:

As you are probably aware, double tapping the home button will launch S Voice on the Galaxy S3. Unfortunately, Samsung did not include a way to re-assign this button for a different function if you don't fancy the S Voice app. Instead, all they did was give you a way to disable the hone button double tap. Well here is a way for you to re-assign the home button double tap without the need for any rooting or modding at all.

Step 2) Install Home2 Shortcut from the Play Store

I'm going to try the home button feature, but I never use the widget feature because I really don't understand it. Someone posted videos, etc about in here when I first started this thread and I didn't understand it then either, so I just left it alone.

Hey Coco,

Widgets are apps that run in the background that can be placed on you home screens to display info without having to fully open the app.

Here are a few examples.

My HD Weather widget (above the google search bar).

PowerAmp widget on one of my home pages. I use it every day.

Flipboard and Pulse widgets. I don't use these but I put these up just so you can see what the look like.

Just create a black home page and puts some widgets on the and play area with them. Keep the ones you like.

I was done with the SG3 last week when it left me hanging with a dead battery at 3pm while i was waiting at the doctor's office and i could not communicate with my office.

The battery life on the SG4 is excellent. I am now on 33% after heavy use since 7am today.

I bought a new 32gb At&t model for $650 but I expect to sell my unlocked SG3 on ebay this weekend for $375. See if you can just buy a slightly used one on ebay for around $550.

Again, I'm not exaggerating, the SG4 does everything well. It is fast, screen is the most beautiful out there and battery life is excellent. It makes the SG3 feel like a prototype.
