You can run CRYSIS 3...currently the best looking fucking game in the whole world...on a PC that you could build for $500. Know why? Because that's WTF I did and I got Crysis 3 running at damn near MAXIMUM detail at 1080p resolution. No lag, no jaggies, no washed out textures! The only things I have set to medium detail are the shadows and shader. Even then I completely shits on any other game I've played graphically on PC or console.

Wow. I do agree that SOME PC gamers are anal and argumentative, but the PC gamers here are really helpful. All they are saying is you don't need to spend a shitload of money to game on a PC, and it's true. I only spent a little over $300 on my laptop and it runs games greateek: pc gaming blasphemy). Normally the laptop was over $500, but anyone can catch a sale like I did and desktops are cheaper.

My PC is running on the specs of the list I posted earlier. Actually, these pics are from my mancave PC that runs the same specs except that it uses a lesser AMD 965 processor (Not much of a difference IMO) than what's on my list posted. I'm playing on a Vizio HDTV 60" @ 1080p resolution...Crysis 3!
I even screencapped my Graphics and Advanced Graphics Options screen. Note the options screens above shows I'm not even on the highest settings when I took those pics.

people spend alot trying to be cool and buying super computers to stay ahead of the game... but the problem with spending 3000 on a super computer is even though u have an advanced system it can still get outdated... i cant play crysis 3 on my laptop cuz my vid card is too old,
to me its easier/cheaper/and more feasible to just upgrade piece by piece when u need to... cuz that 3000 pc may be bomb now but be outdated next year

Developers aren't trying to make people constantly need new parts to play the newest games anymore. That shit was just plain dumb to me anyway. They should've been optimizing their games better back then to avoid that bullshit being a requirement to play their games. I halfway think some of those developers were in bed with Nvidia, Voodoo, and Radeon back then (buy the newest game...need a new GFX card that just happens to release around the same time as game). Even the almighty Crysis developers have come to that understanding because it seems that Crysis 3 is more optimized for a varied range of PCs than any of the previous games were. Someone posted video on Youtube of the game running on a Celeron powered laptop last week so you might want to check for that and see if you can run it or not.

All true. Unnecessary bullshit. The list I posted was the basic shit to get your going with a nice PC that can be productive as well as game on. It's not a super PC, but it doesn't need to be either. That's where people fuck up and overspend. Never saw the need behind neon lights, freon coolers and shit either. As a technical person I think only the non-technical, casual users waste money on that bullshit. It's a PC, not an import tuner car. And yeah, fuck paying these PC stores for Windows.
