{~~~Guns, Guns and Mo' Guns - The Right To Keep And Bear Arms~~~}

I just got one of these Taurus Tracker 992's. Awfully intimidating for a .22 pistol.

do you buy complete lowers or build em yourself?

The first one I bought a complete lower and a different upper and just slapped them together. Second time I actually built it from a stripped lower, not as hard as I thought I just followed a youtube video.

what's a cheap gun to get to protect the home? glock 19?

I need to get my gun license.

Buy a home defender shotgun. Best home protection you can buy. Can change out the barrel to go hunting as well. I think my next purchase is a Ruger Gp 101 in stainless steel. Need to cop a Taurus Judge do the night stand.

Need to get licensed first, ill stick with a shotgun instead of a portable cuz ill probably snap and body a nigga on the street. Shotgun is a good idea, under the bed.

Thats decent Ive seen some for as low as $650 but their out of stock now. Deltons sometimes have bolt problems Id spend a little more and get a Palmetto State or at least swap out the bcg.

Why Palmetto State? And what's a bcg?

Palmetto State Armory is a online site, that offers good quality, low priced complete AR15's and build components. BCG = Bolt Carrier Group, the main parts are the Bolt & the Carrier (in addition to other small parts). Entry level Ar 15's the BCG usually lacks quality components, so folks will change out the BCG to a high quality unit......

So the Delton Echo AR 5.56 I was looking at is an "entry level" that "lacks quality components", so if I was to get it I should upgrade the BCG?

Lemme ask you, tho...

What's a good assault rifle, preferably fully auto, that is good to go "as is" and has good quality components without upgrading???

If you are looking for home defense, this right here is your answer.
The best home defense combination is a pump action shot gun (there is nothing on earth like the sound of that shell racking into the chamber), and two large, well trained dogs.
-The dogs are loud and visible, and will keep most people away (make them chose to rob the next house).
-If they get past the dogs, stand behind the door and rack a round into the chamber. That will cause most people to leave (an unmistakable sound that says death waits over here).
-You get two levels of deterrence, (two chances to get the bad guys to stay away/leave without having to incur the legal hassle of shooting someone) And one hell of a punch if deterrence does not work.

Yea I'm gone have to order this. Don't know what barrel length I want though.

Love the Ruger GP100 series, very solid, reliable gun.
IMO, the 4in, or maybe the 3in, barrel would be the best compromise between conceal-ability/usability, and accuracy.

The 6in version carries like an old western hog-leg, and is impossible to carry concealed, unless you are Andre the Giant. And, the 2in barrel is just to short for accurate shooting beyond a few feet. The 4in barrel has always felt comfortable.

Who are you going to have do your conversion? I'm assuming it's a USC/UMP conversion. I had HDPS supply the parts, and do the conversion. I think I had about $2500. into it, I have since sold it to one of my boys. He wanted it more than me, so..... After everything was said and done, the conversion gets old fast, especially with no happy switch. YMMV

Yeah I picked up my parts from different spots my lower was the most expensive part $299 outside of the gun. In total I think I came in around your total. I am getting tbostic to convert mine. I am using a block kit so my conversion will run 200 tops, but he can fuse the rear of a demilled ump on your gun for 450. He is on Facebook under Tommy Built Tactical.

I can understand about the switch but who knows I may dump my current receiver for the auto lower one day

Ok, I'm confrused (yo gotti voice)

That first link says...
You may only own a machine gun that was manufactured and registered with the BATF before May 19, 1986. Weapons manufactured after that date are restricted for Military and Law Enforcement use only.

Is this only a Texas thing? I live in GA.

Somebody said earlier that fully autos are legal in GA and not stupid expensive like that M16, FROM THE 70's , thats at the next link you posted. Really man?!?!? $25k for a M1?!?!

What gives?

Maybe that Delton AR I was looking at wasn't fully auto :dunno:

Nope, I'm almost certain it wasn't. :smh:
The cheapest fully auto I've ever seen was like $6000 for a .380 Uzi. And you still have to submit paperwork to the BATF, pass a battery of background checks, and I believe you have to update them every time you move.

DON't do it I got one and the AMMO is way to expensive

I've got about 4K rounds already and another 2k from my source enroute. Plus, I just ordered 2k rounds of the American Eagle branded rounds for practice. Me and the wife both have 5.7s and shoot regularly so we keep at least 2k rounds on hand. I pay around $21 per box/ $17 for the AE.

Did your "source" say they were out and but shipped next day? If so we may have the same source as they ship the same bulk amount. Just asking because I had a friend sign on and order not thinking it was gonna ship next day  Funny how they make these shortages but can ship fast if the price is high enough.

No, I got a guy that I buy from in Tenn. and he usually has what I need in stock for FN brand ammo. He's a small SOT/Class 3 that used to work for Barrett that I lucked up on thru a co-worker. He's did some trigger work on one of my rifles and since then he's been my go to guy! The AE brand I ordered online and it showed out of stock, but shipped the next day:lol:
