{~~~Guns, Guns and Mo' Guns - The Right To Keep And Bear Arms~~~}

its illegal to possess a fully automatic weapon in GA.

This is incorrect. You can own full automatics, SBR's, SBS's, Silencers, AOW's,& DD's in GA. All of which are covered under NFA (and GA state law). One would need to file the proper forms and documentation, and pay fees. Dudes really need to understand the laws, before giving information that just is not true.......

I agree 100%...

it seems to be new gun laws created out of thin air when we start buying what they buy

if it is legal to own the guns why does it matter what gun you post? I know guys with hundreds of guns, and there are thousands of web sites for guns. If the government were looking for gun owners, bgol is probably the last place they would look.

c/s.

I have no idea what he's talking about. There are many sights dedicated to gun enthusiasts and we post our guns all the time. White folks trick their guns out like we do cars. Instead of posting a new pair of J's they posting a new AR upper. If you're on instagram there are many set up just for gun enthusiasts. It's not as if people are posting their serial numbers or posting illegal guns or promoting gun crimes.

I just picked up a Ruger LC9. I hope its not too big for concealed carry. Now I have to figure out how to shoot it.

DSC_0005.jpg

Definately not too big. I taught my 10 year old to shoot with it. It used to be my everyday carry. One of the most popular CC guns out there. You can carry it holstered or in the pocket and it has multiple safety features for this. The only problem I had with mine was the long long trigger pull, but that's just a preference thing. As far as how to shoot it, take a range class if you're completely green.

I was at Adventure Outdoors this weekend  CACs were buying up guns like the revolution was coming next week. Everyone was filling out paperwork and walking out with guns. It was downright alarming. There was no special sale going on just CACs reacting to the election results. You could hardly find anthing that shot a 7.62 round. Only 5.56 and 223. When 2Termz first went into office 4 years ago there was a shortage on 9mm ammo.:smh:

Since the election Ive been listening to talk radio. There is a conservative program called smitdth (sp?)and these crackas swear we are headed for doomsday. They are stockpiling weapons at an alarming rate. They are ready to kill any minorities out of fear. Be safe.

ok.... first, thank you! I have a few questions.

What is SBR & SBS, AOW's, & DD's?
*EDIT: Ok, Short Barrel shotgun & Short Barrel Rifle*

I clicked and read the link you posted but it had stuff from 1934, 1968, & 1986... I know the language of law is an evolving one, but I kinda wanna know in layman's terms.

Is there a site that has the gun control laws for each state? I remember seeing something like that before on here. I think people were talking about reciprocity or something dealing with having your license to carry in one state being honored in other states. (reciprocity might not be the right word :dunno: )

1934,1968,& 1986 are bench mark years for NFA. Below are links to a couple forums that I frequent. There is a vast amount of information on NFA and NFA ownership to be had. You just need to spend sometime looking around the sites. If you have any specific questions, and you can't locate the answers on the provided sites, I can probably answer them for you or point you in the right direction. The last link is for a CCW website that has info on all the states and laws regarding carry and reciprocity......

Since I bought that gun I spent a lot of time with my friends who own guns and got to shoot dozens of different guns. Yes, most pistols have a shorter trigger pull but I see the long pull as a safety item, you are not shooting yourself in the foot with this gun. I was shooting it last night and really increased my accuracy by applying constant steady pressure to the trigger. Just pretend its a short trigger pull. I did that and made some pretty tight groups. I used a .22 target pistol to qualify for the gun club because a tiny 9mm has a short barrel and is not so accurate at 50 feet but the more I shoot the LC9, the happier I am with the choice.

By the way, what do you carry now?

My Springfield Armory XDm 9mm. Its my CCW choice and I can use a 13 or 19 rd mag if need be. Smooth and comfortable.

Is $699 a good deal for a

Delton AR Echo 5.56 ???

I slid through the gun show today at the last minute since it was the last one for the year in Atlanta.

Wasn't exactly what I was expecting.

Which brings me to my next question, how can you know for certain if you're good to buy?

Thanks I just added an AK and working on a H&K UMP conversion.

Who are you going to have do your conversion? I'm assuming it's a USC/UMP conversion. I had HDPS supply the parts, and do the conversion. I think I had about $2500. into it, I have since sold it to one of my boys. He wanted it more than me, so..... After everything was said and done, the conversion gets old fast, especially with no happy switch. YMMV

Im going to turn my old stevens 820b into a pistol grip and saw the barrel off 18 inches

I expected to see all kinda "private owner" deals available and low prices.

This was damn near all dealers and the prices were probably good deals, but :dunno: I just wanted to catch me a chopper fah $150

Wasn't hapn'n :smh:

I almost bought a few different hand guns, especially a S&W .40 cal for $249, but I thought about it, "these are dealers, they gotta do the paperwork & background checks. I'm not sure if I'm clear, my shit is iffy." So no dice.

Which brings me to my next question, how can you know for certain if you're good to buy?

I ask because I know its a felony to even "ATTEMPT" to purchase a firearm if you're a convicted felon.

generally, if you have no domestics (assault, battery, whoopin a bitch) no felonies and aren't a fugitive from justice (warrant out on you for an unpaid traffic ticket), you're good to go. may still have to wait 3-days (they call it the "cool-down period", in case you just got in beef and wanna go kill someone). A concealed carry license will usually let you walk right out with your purchase though.

Good luck with 'getting on paper' at 15 yards.....much less 50 yards w/ a Kel Tec PF9.

It's small. It's light. It's VERY concealable....THE smallest and lightest 9mm out there. Less than 2lbs fully loaded.

To say it's 'not fun to shoot' is an understatement...like sayin 'Precious' is a lil overweight

Thats decent Ive seen some for as low as $650 but their out of stock now. Deltons sometimes have bolt problems Id spend a little more and get a Palmetto State or at least swap out the bcg.

Can you put a laser on it? I added one to my LC9, helps a lot with aim.
