Young chick tries to refuse traffic ticket and situation escalates quickly

At what point did I state that as you quoted.

I never defended her actions, I said his were uncalled for. Never said she was right, nor would I say anything she did was right. All any of my posts said was his actions were uncalled for.

but his actions don't matter in the grand scheme because SHE'S the one who had to fight all that shit when all she had to do was roll her window down all the way.

We KNOW what the cops are capable of..the question is WHAT DO YOU DO?

posting info of other people beating their ticket doesn't apply to her situation. She was in the wrong from the git go..the brake lights were out.. thats a legit stop. She failed to produce registration so he ran the plate..thats proper procedure. He asked her to lower the window and explained why and she ignored it and resisted. Was she within her rights..yes but so what..look what resisting produced for her?

Sure..KNOW your rights..but more importantly PICK YOUR BATTLES

Dude, did you forget the window was halfway down? Why was he not able to hand her the clipboard for a signature? Again, the window was halfway down, that is why he was able to pull it until it broke. Again, if he felt that he was in some kind of danger from her having a window halfway down (as stupid as that sounds), why would he use both hands to break the window? Why wasn't the "in danger" officer keeping one hand on his gun??? And she did NOTHING to assault that fool, whatever happened to him came from his own poor choices. I hope she sues that lying bitch of a cop.

again...she got arrested on sept 4...its sept 22 now...shes got about another 3 MONTHS of court dates then car repair, atty fees, bail money, trying to get it expunged AND the shit is on the internet so it will pop up on any background check anyone does on her from now on.

OPEN QUESTION FOR THE BLACK PANTHER CREW:

WAS TAKING A STAND AT THE WINDOW WORTH IT???

When the police pull you over, you are basically a hostage until they release you. If he wants to do something illegal, the only way you can fight back is after the encounter. Unless you done some weed or drank some alcohol, I would roll down the windows.

It looks like he was baiting her...

:hmm: come on dude..

if he was it was the weakest most ridiculous bait I've ever seen...and the fact that she fell for it says more about her than the cop..:smh::smh:

the amounts of chances that cop gave her.. I would have thought she was white

How many of us would get asked to "comply" so much times

Hell he would have thought a black man stole the car.. especially how she was acting to show the registration

Btw think about this.. if she's like this with a cop with a fucking gun... and some jurisdiction to arrest her!!

Imagine the poor soul who "dates her" the amount of lip and other bullshit he would get

so the consensus here is to be afraid of the cops, let them do what they want and don't question them. Sheep :smh:

You sound ridiculous.

He wasn't asking her to strip or anything crazy, just simply roll her window down.

She was being a child and trying to take control of the situation. Just like a spoiled brat.

The sheep are the one's that can't think for themselves and just shit on cops on any situation.

Like I said, most cops are fucked up, but dude gave her every chance to act like a fuckin' adult and sign the ticket.

Now her dumb ass is going to jail, has to get her car out of tow, has to get her registration before the tow yard will let her car out, and she still will have to pay for the original fines.

plus numerous court dates

Because ALL of them know that they would've rolled down their window ALL THE WAY and signed the ticket.

You're misinterpreting "in danger" & doing something "for his own safety", he didn't feel that she was a danger to him, since as you noted he would have placed his hand on his gun, but he was looking out for his own safety, EVEN if she took the clipboard from him she could grab his arm, put the window up, & drag him, it's not likely pertaining to THIS particular woman, but then again she already spoke to him with the window down, why did she now feel she had to keep the window up?!?

Did she find some sort of contraband in the car?!?

Did her Mother tell her that there was a gun in the car?!?

There are several scenarios that come up from that, ALL invoked by the fact that she already lowered her window all the way down, as a cop you ALWAYS have to see three steps ahead, failure to do so risks you not getting home that night, or @ the very least breaking a motorists window!

And the point that you're referring to is AFTER she had already put the window fully up and told the officer "No!", while she did indeed have it lowered halfway down earlier she asked three separate times as to why it had to be lowered, and he responded three separate times as to why, she DIDN'T accept his answer & put the window all the way up, again I ask, exactly HOW did she think that was going to end?!?

And it was her action of putting the window up as he was pulling out on it that broke it, just pulling out on it would NOT break it, it would pull it out of its track!

so the consensus here is to be afraid of the cops, let them do what they want and don't question them. Sheep :smh:

Afraid no...She was in the wrong meaning the traffic citation. One usually doesn't win one on one with a cop so sign the ticket and move on. It's just not that serious. I'm not sure how not rolling down the window or not cooperating with the cop to sign the citation and move on is that big of a statement in a persons life?

Years ago I was speeding and a cop pulled me over, I was going probably 90mph. The cop ask was in a hurry and I said something small but I forgot what. He told me to slow down and keep it moving. Would not rolling down the window nor showing my registration and license would've helped me out?

It's a simple ticket, sign the shit and move on.

so the consensus here is to be afraid of the cops, let them do what they want and don't question them. Sheep :smh:

A traffic stop doesn't require much questions... save it for court.. hell you're not even "guilty " yet signing doesn't mean guilt just that you will appear .. happened to me before

I doubt you'd be doing the dumb shit she did and so backwards... with the cops how you start is how you end... she should have just kept her window in the middle the whole time then .. instead of putting it all the way down

Mother fuckas know shit about the art of war ...:smh:

so the consensus here is to be afraid of the cops, let them do what they want and don't question them. Sheep :smh:

Please, you fucking smart ass.. try giving the cops a hard time every time you get pulled over and see how far it gets you. Especially if you're stupid enough to be driving around with no registration plus a broken tail light.

so the consensus here is to be afraid of the cops, let them do what they want and don't question them. Sheep :smh:

No, in most situations if you respect the cop then the cop will respect you, I'm a big, Black man that's been driving for more years than people have been alive on this board (30 years) and throughout the numerous traffic stops & tickets that I have received throughout my lifetime, NOT ONCE have I:

1. Been asked to step out of the vehicle

2. been patted down, or stopped & frisked

3. had an officer even ask to search my vehicle

And this includes a night back in 1989 when I just hopped into my 1975 Chevy Camaro (Type LT) to run to the store real quick W/O my wallet (had cash in my pocket), the police had set up a traffic stop on the road back, the cop gave me 3 tickets (no license, registration or insurance) and then let me continue home after I explained what happened w/o mouthing off or lowering my window halfway, in court I provided ALL of the necessary documents and ALL 3 tickets were dismissed!

See how that works?!?

It looks like he was baiting her...

He didn't bait her at all. She could of left when he came back with the ticket. Her dumb ass let someone get in her ear and she got advice that was completely wrong for the situation.

Many police are not that far removed from a criminal. Read up on Serpico, Chris Dorner, Rampart scandal, and other people spotting corruption. Their racket is like that mayor in California - giving himself a million dollar pension, while taxing the fuck out of citizens, writing fines.

Meanwhile giving themselves generous pay packages, pensions, and benefits for sitting in a car and eating donuts. Their civilian counterparts (i.e. mall cops) get $8-$9 with no job security and benefits at all performing the same duties.

I had one cop just roll up on my place and stick surveillance equipment and other crap with no court authorization, just doing what a criminal does, trying to catch me doing something. Or bust into my storage unit, snooping around.

If you want to protect yourself, do like George Zimmerman and get a gun, shoot and ask questions later. In summary, at a traffic stop, with their criminal/racist mentality you are a hostage. This is her when he pulled her over...

Yeah, I'm interested to hear how these cats would have handled the situation. I wanna hear how they gonna handle the shit and make it home safely. I expect no replies.

when "trying to keep it real" goes wrong ... all that dumb shit could have been avoided ... she watches way too much internet

Don't hold your breath for a response. The e-militants and iLawyers aren't stupid. They woulda ate that ticket and posted about it on BGOL talking about Fuck The Police / Next Time, I'mma Do Blazay Blazay. Everyone's tough online, but in real life they know they woulda caught a L if they did anything other than roll down that window and take the fucking ticket and kept it moving.

To ask if taking a stand was worth it AFTER THE FACT is like asking Trayvon if Skittles and iced tea was worth it, after the fact. We all have additional knowledge of other's unpredictable reactions based on our actions AFTER THE FACT!!! So your Monday morning quarterback question makes no sense DURING the confrontation.

but homie you don't have to be clairvoyant to see where that was going..you make a cop repeat the same order or request too many times handcuffs are going to be next.

again:

BEING BLACK AND DEALING WITH THE COPS 101

KEEP YOUR HANDS VISIBLE

DON'T MAKE SUDDEN MOVES

DON'T MOUTH OFF (being belligerent or obstinate)

what the fuck is so hard to understand about that??

But homie, she is not a black MAN, who those rules certainly apply to. Also, that was a University cop. His job is to protect those students, not express their anger with them.

...so my last response still applies.

I didn't make a typo or omission..those rules apply to black PEOPLE period. Black woman have been raped, lynched, assaulted, bullied and treated like shit in general as much as black men throughout the history of this country..usualy by authority figures.. we just don't talk about it as much (side note: hence the hashtag blackpowerisforblackmen). As you saw she was sorely mistaken to believe her vagina trumps her skin color. If white cops have no problem tasering other cacs what the hell does she and you think they'd do to her?

You have to think three steps ahead in this world just to break even and in Amerikkka you have to think 3 steps ahead of that. When that cop said could you lower your window all the way down and she said why and he said its for my safety and she ignored it than he asked again and she said why..who the fuck didn't know what was going to happen next??? well apparently she didn't :rolleyes: C'mon dude its not monday morning quarterbacking its common sense.
