Rumor: Resident Evil 3: Nemesis remake due out in 2020 [Update]
Capcom will release a remake of
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis in 2020, according to reports from
YouTube channel Spawn Wave and video game news outlet
VGC.
Spawn Wave—which was the
first to report on From Software’s
Elden Ring before its official announcement, which was corroborated by Gematsu’s own source—was the first to report on the
Resident Evil 3 remake, which “matches what VGC has been told by a number of sources.”
Further information about the alleged remake were not shared by either source, but if a release is planned for 2020, then an official announcement would likely be made either soon or in the coming months.
Capcom released a remake of
Resident Evil 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 25, which has sold
4.7 million units as of September 30.
Update 11/22/19 at 9:22 a.m.: Eurogamer is reporting that it has also heard of the remake project, and that it has been in development for some time.
