yo this shit has been a trash experience...I preordered in may w/ GS and then w/ scuf when I realized I could get it customized...the release date was supposed to be august 25...in the days leading up to that they insisted they were still on schedule to ship on time...then the day before they were supposed to ship they said they were pushing it back to 9/25 which was yesterday...so far only youtubers sponsored by scuf and a handful of regular customers who preordered on GS got their controllers shipped
to add insult to injury the youtubers who were sponsored are all shilling the controller but the handful of real ppl who paid and don’t have an agenda have all complained the sticks get stuck when you use them...in particular the left stick...it can not be used to turn on your PS4...the controller HAS to be plugged into the PS4 for the headphone jack to function and the controller is not compatible w/ all PS4 games...complete mess on scuf’s part and it’s a shame sony licensed this shit...I canceled my preorder w/ scuf last week and got a refund...the GS preorder is still good but I didn’t pay anything...just made an online reservation for pickup @ the time so they didn’t charge me anything...I won’t be picking it up if they ever do call me when they’re in stock
$170 for the wired version...$200 for wireless...and an extra $30 to customize it...the xbox elite controller runs rings around this shit...sony tried to bite by backing scuf and failed miserably...they need to develop their own shit...I hope I save someone some $$$ by telling y’all to avoid this shit if you have a PS4

I thought they had a good reputation bcuz when I was looking into the elite controller everyone compared it to scuf products but then last week I was on reddit tryna find any info/updates I could find re: the vantage and came across that subreddit that was full of complaints re: scuf controllers...a really disappointing experience bcuz this would’ve been the perfect solution for me being a primary xbox gamer who occasionally uses the PS4
Sony Is Finally Allowing Cross-Play On The PS4
Having resistedfor so long, Sonyis finally giving in and allowing cross-play on the PS4“for select third party content”, meaning PlayStation 4 owners will soon get to play the same game against people on competing consoles.
In a blog post, Sony say:
Following a comprehensive evaluation process, SIE has identified a path toward supporting cross-platform features for select third party content. We recognize that PS4 players have been eagerly awaiting an update, and we appreciate the community’s continued patience as we have navigated through this issue to find a solution.
That path beginstoday, with an open beta forFortnitethat’ll let PS4 players go up against people on the Xbox One, Switch, PC, Mac and mobile.
In perhaps an admission as to why this has taken so long, Sony adds that “This represents a major policy change for SIE”, and say there’ll be more information on “other titles going forward” when “we have more details to share”.
It would make sense that it’s been a policy challenge rather than a technical one,since cross-play between PS4 and Xbox One was accidentally turned on last year.

so later that day...gamestop left a message stating my preorder arrived but I was like fuck that...today I remembered I had some $$$ left over from some trade-ins...enough to cover half the cost so I decided to pick it up...plus GS gives you 30 days to return opened accessories...and I have to admit...so far I like it...the feel is extremely similar to the xbox one controller although slightly smaller and the thumb sticks are a bit further apart but it more or less feels the same...so much so that the dualshock 4 immediately felt weird in my hand when I tried to use it to note the difference...I’ve only used it w/ spider-man...but it works w/ other apps (some folks were complaining it didn’t) and I haven’t had any issues w/ the thumbsticks getting stuck...it can also power onthe PS4 but ONLY if it’s in rest mode...I will test it w/ other games this weekend but first impressions are good...it feels like a “little brother” to the xbox elite controller
Im on PS4 but I copped yesterday. If you fucked with Origins, then this is a cleaned up, more focused, expanded version. Im about 6 hours in and I like it so far. Story has me intrigued at the moment. Some dude came on a ship to the island you start has hired to you find what he said was Odysseus' scarf or nut rag or some shit. I figured that was a decent stopping point. But theres already been a few obvious moments where your choice matters and youll eventually see the results of it.
