Xbox One Console Reviews

It's a must have at $19.99

Batman is a very good game. They would've sold a lot of copies earlier if they didn't try to fuck people over with that expensive DLC and store exclusive content.

I hope they leave the Riddler out of the (rumored) JL Rock Steady games :smh: :suicide:

Here Are The New Xbox One Backward Compatibility Titles Playable Today
December 17th 2015

Last month we launched one of the most requested features: Xbox One Backward Compatibility, with an initial set of more than 100 titles, allowing fans to take their Xbox 360 experience to Xbox One and still be able to play with their friends, take screenshots, stream and record in-game DVR clips. Today, we’re excited to announce even more Xbox 360 titles available now on Xbox One via Backward Compatibility.

december-bc_large-tile.jpg

Since launch on Nov. 12, fans have been enjoying Xbox 360 games on Xbox One for the first time ever, logging more than 9 million hours spent playing Xbox 360 games on Xbox One. And the most popular games fans from around the world have been spending those hours playing are Fallout 3, Gears of War 3, Just Cause 2, Assassin’s Creed II and DiRT 3.

From titles like DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION to classics like Fable III, today, fans will have 16 additional games to choose from, expanding our growing library of Xbox One Backward Compatibility titles. And as a reminder, all Xbox 360 games available through Games with Gold after Nov. 12, such as the recently available Sacred 3, are playable on Xbox One. You can find the full list of our latest additions below and also on Xbox.com/BackCompat.

What’s more, hot off the heels of the Halo 5: Guardians launch and the Halo World Championship kickoff on Dec. 6, Halo fans can dive even deeper into the Halo universe as Halo: Reach is among the titles added to the catalog this month. The game showcases the power of Xbox One Backward Compatibility, bringing exciting storylines and gameplay from fan favorites onto one console. Today, Halo: Reach will join Halo 5: Guardians, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo: Spartan Assault on Xbox One.

Let’s dive into the list of new titles* available today:

Tom Clancy's The Division Xbox One Alpha Back Online On December 18, Exact Unlock Time Revealed

We really hope you didn't delete your installation files for Tom Clancy's The Division Alpha, as Ubisoft has a huge surprise for those of you who had a Xbox One code for it: the Alpha will be back, and here's when and how for you to play one more time one of the most anticipated games of 2016.

Ubisoft has announced Tom Clancy's The Division will be back online on Friday 18 at 3 PM CET, 9 AM EDT or 6 AM PDT. The Alpha was an exclusive to those who had the complete game pre-ordered or asked for a code during the last E3 2015/Gamescom presentations.

Now, instead, it will also work for those who will buy anything on Uplay in time for December 18 – there's a rush of sales so you might be really interested in grabbing something there and access the Alpha.

The build will still be under NDA, which means you won't hear anything official about it (previews and more coming from your favorite websites), but there's a chance some forum guys will take a stand and, as it has already happened last week, will tell you everything you might want to know about the gameplay and graphics on Xbox One.

A Beta will be coming early next year for PS4 and PC as well, while the complete Tom Clancy's The Division experience will be out on March 8, 2016.

New HoloLens video teases white Xbox Elite Controller

Microsoft has released new footage of HoloLens in action, showing the various uses that the holographic headset will have. In the middle of some stunning footage is shown an Xbox One Wireless Elite Controller being created. Contrary to the already released one, it's using the same color scheme present in the Xbox One Lunar White Controller. The controller is shown at 2:50 in the video.

There is no information from Microsoft working on a new design for the Elite Controller but if this comes to be true and they are projecting a Lunar White Elite Controller, it would be awesome since this would mix the two controllers I think are the best controllers that were ever created. The Elite Controller for its features inspired for competitive gaming and the Lunar White Controller for its colors that are simply stunning.

Microsoft underestimated Xbox Elite Controller demand because they were told it was too expensive

The Xbox One Elite Controller is a coveted item this Christmas and has been out of stock for weeks. The moment even a few units show up on Amazon or GameStop, they are instantly reserved and purchased. We're running a giveaway for one and it was such a hassle finding one for the normal price rather than the heavy markup resellers are adding on eBay.

We finally have an answer as to why the Elite Controller is in such short supply. Microsoft CMO Chris Capossela talked about the supply decision on Windows Weekly. He said:

"Here's the product we totally underestimated. If I could have built ten times the number I built, I would have. We got that feedback at E3 that it was awesome, but maybe the price was a little too high, and so that influenced how many we produced. On the Monday and Tuesday before Thanksgiving, myself and Kevin Turner, our COO, and the guy who runs our stores, David Porter, we go around and visit thirty or forty different stores. Best Buy and GameStop...and Microsoft Stores, just to see how things look, and the one thing we heard from everybody was, 'You needed to make way more of these controllers.'"

He didn't think that gamers would spend $150 on a controller no matter how amazing it was. Price is always an important factor when gamers make decisions but the Elite Controller is treading new ground. I don't remember the last time a company offered such a customizable controller. There's Scuf but the Elite Controller offers way more than their models. No wonder Xbox One owners are buying them so quickly. It's a unique and quality product. Such items always sell.

Hopefully Microsoft can ramp up production so all of us can get one. I've been trying to find one for so long for myself but I think I'll just have to wait another few months.

The fact that the add-on exists is basically all we know at this point.

You can also see an image of the peripheral at IGN. We're still waiting to learn more, including details on pricing and availability. We'll have that information for you as it's made available.

More details are likely to come during the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show next week in Las Vegas. GameSpot and sister site CNET will have teams on the ground there to bring you all the news.
