Final Fantasy 7 remake confirmed for Xbox One

Final Fantasy is returning to our screens.

The long-awaited title in the franchise which has captured the hearts of gamers everywhere, is making the return to the current generation of consoles. Up to now, it was rumored to only be available for PlayStation 4. Some major outlets even called it an exclusive for some odd reason.

Well, it is no longer in doubt. Final Fantasy 7 remake will release on both consoles, Microsoft's Xbox gaining access to the software later than Sony's product. This information was revealed during the PlayStation Experience which occurred today. There isn't any doubt anymore.

What do you think of this news? Are you a Final Fantasy player?

More information as we know.

The Final Fantasy VII remake will be a ‘multi-part series’

Cloud's angst can’t fit into just one release

Over the weekend, Square Enix revealed the latest trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake, a much-anticipated reimagining of the beloved 1997 role-playing game. But there's one thing the developer failed to mention: the remake will be more than a single game.

In a follow-up press release, Square revealed that the remake will be "told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience." It's unclear exactly what that means; the new FFVII could be episodic, in the mold of games like Life is Strange or The Walking Dead, or it may be similar to Final Fantasy XIII, which had multiple sequels. Or it could be something altogether different. In an interview with Dengeki Online, Yoshinori Kitase, producer on the original game, explained that "if we took everything that's in the original game and remade it at that quality, we couldn't get it all on a single release."

While the news may be disappointing, breaking up the game is likely an effort at ensuring FFVII Remake avoids a similar fate as Final Fantasy XV, which began development in 2006 for the PlayStation 3, and isn't slated to launch until next year for Xbox One and PS4. FFVII Remake, meanwhile, still doesn't have a release date.

Splitting up FF7 and making it more action oriented has turned me off. Rushing because they took too damn long to do it.

This is what i did to get the code.

Via Reddit

Anyone looking to get into the Alpha I literally just did this:

1) Preordered the standard edition on Amazon (you don't pay until the game ships)

2) Immediately got an email from Amazon to enter a code at thedivisiongame.com

3) Entered the code on thedivisiongame.com

4) Immediate got an email from Ubisoft saying I was added to the Alpha and got my Xbox download code.

5) Entered download code into xbox.com and my Xbox is currently downloading the alpha.

6) Cancelled the preorder on Amazon

Hope that helps anyone trying to get into the alpha.

This is a great idea. You could always preorder again in 2018.
:roflmao2:

You should get the Alpha Xbox download code in 10- 15 minutes

They're mad slow with this beta code. Hope they didn't catch on yet.

Got the email with the code and finished the sign up process. I'm going to cancel before they start the beta and this game ends up sucking balls.

ok this is for the people that dont have a beta code im gonna give you the up an up on the game.at first glance i knew they dumbed the graphics down big time an then the game glitched an came back on then it looked alittle better.then they just throw you in the game an to me it is kinda confuseing but it plays solid.the shooting is solid, the game play is solid in a whole.i mean if i had people to roll with i guess it would be easier but till then i guess im rolling for dolo.lol anyone else rolling with this beta?
