Most games dont warrant a purchase beyond 60 bucks. I dont even buy dlc cuz if anything I'll buy the goty or complete edition down the road. MK is the only exception when it comes to extra stuff cuz of my love for the franchise. I dont mind spending it if I got the money. But these companies are getting outta hand with all the extra bullshit they want you to pay for. It started out ok but when they saw folks paying up they got absurd with it, especially capcom.
I really like what I've seen so far in the single player campaign...if I can shave $35-40 off w/ a couple of coupons/reward points then I'll cop it
Kojima Expected to Leave Konami After MGS5, Inside Source Confirms

Key devs could leave before 2016, source claims; Senior staff made contractors; Communications block in effect.
A fallout between Kojima Productions and its owning publisher, Konami, has led to senior staff at the studio being restricted access to corporate internet, emails, and phone, GameSpot understands.
Along with the restricted communications, key developers at the studio, such as Hideo Kojima, will now have limited opportunities to lend their appearance to promotions of the studio’s upcoming game, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.
Power struggles between Kojima Productions and Konami have convinced the publisher to make drastic changes, including amending the employee status of its Metal Gear team. Some senior staff at the studio, including Kojima, now essentially work as contractors, not permanent employees.
The extraordinary measures were revealed by a source within Konami, speaking to GameSpot on the condition of anonymity. The person explained that, once the Phantom Pain project is finished, in all likelihood the management at the studio will disband.
"After we finish MGSV, Mr. Kojima and upper management will leave Konami. They said their contract ends in December," the source claimed.
The person added: "At a team meeting, Mr Kojima explained that team have to be one and make a good game for fans."
In other developments, Konami has begun removing the Kojima Productions logo from all official Metal Gear art, and it has removed Kojima from its executive team. Meanwhile, Kojima Productions’ branding has also been removed from Twitter, the official Metal Gear website, and even the LA office listing.
Representatives for Konami would not discuss specifics of the matter when contacted by GameSpot. The corporation has offered a statement, however.
It reads: "Konami Digital Entertainment, including Mr. Kojima, will continue to develop and support Metal Gear products. Please look forward to future announcements."
The corporation's public relations team, based in Tokyo, is unavailable at the time of going to press, due to it being past midnight local time.
Metal Gear Solid 5, Kojima’s latest iteration in the famed series, ships in September on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
An expanded statement from Konami follows: "As we have already announced, we are shifting our production structure to a headquarters-controlled system, in order to establish a steadfast operating base capable of responding to the rapid market changes that surround our digital entertainment business. Konami Digital
Entertainment (including Mr. Kojima), will continue to develop and support Metal Gear products. Please look forward to future announcements."
If IGN didn't give it a 8 they would have spent a week debating it to keep their ads going.

- Party chat improvements – Party chat is being improved with troubleshooting guidance for Xbox One owners. The Party App will help you get your microphone enabled and show you when privacy settings or networking issues are blocking communication with particular party members.
- Game hub links – Members can more easily discover game hub content from activity feed items. You’ll see activity feed items when any of your friends follow a game, and you’ll also be able to get back to a game’s hub from activity feed posts related to the game – including feed items about the game’s achievements, game clips and screenshots. Finally, we’ve added a link to game hubs from the game’s page in the achievements app.
- Achievement notifications – With this preview release, you’ll also see the achievement’s description in the notification so you know what you did to earn this achievement without having to open the achievements app. If you do choose to open up the notification to see the achievement details, we’ve also made some performance improvements to make loading the achievements app from a notification faster.

IGN Italy claims that the two games will arrive on current-generation consoles by Christmas, suggesting that Batman Arkham Origins, which was developed at Warner Bros. Montreal, would not be given the same upgrade.
Warner Bros. has yet to announce the game or verify the rumor. GameSpot has contacted the publisher for more information.
Should the rumor prove to be true, it would mean the remaster would come months after the release of Batman Arkham Knight--believed to be the third and conclusive chapter in the trilogy, developed by London studio Rocksteady.
The first two Batman Arkham games gained near-unanimous praise from critics. GameSpot's Arkham Asylum review explained: "Everything about this game--the impressive visuals, stirring soundtrack, superb voice acting, fiendish puzzles, hard-hitting combat--feels like it has been lovingly crafted by a development team that's both knowledgeable and passionate about the source material. Miss out on this one and the joke's on you."
Its successor, Arkham City, was also rated highly: "From the speedy exhilaration of soaring high above the streets to the atmospheric thrill of discovering long-forgotten secrets in the tunnels below Gotham, this is an unforgettable adventure that will keep you coming back to the cape and cowl long after you've seen the credits roll."

Rainbow Six Siege is getting a closed beta test on PS4, Xbox One and PC later this year, Ubisoft has confirmed to VideoGamer.com.
Rumours of the beta first emerged after a leaked marketing poster at GameStop surfaced online. But Ubisoft has since confirmed that the closed beta is coming later this year, with those who pre-order the game guaranteed access.
"Yes, you can now pre-order Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege to get access to the Closed Beta later on this year," Ubisoft said in a statement provided to VideoGamer.com. "Stay tuned for more information on the Closed Beta in the coming months."
The beta is expected to follow the closed PC alpha test later this year. Footage of the alpha test leaked online this weekend revealing the first look at an unrevealed map set within an airport.
A release date for Rainbow Six Siege has yet to be announced.

Years ago it was about having a guaranteed copy on the release date at your favored retail store. I remember if you didn't preorder 2K or Smackdown you're have to call before you go out to pickup a copy. These days most retail stores order enough copies to meet consumer demand. Preorders now are basically just a way to grantee that the game is sold and maybe get another $20 to $50 dollars on top of the game with stacking on a collectors edition.

Exactly why I want to know why do people pre-order nowadays. These gaming companies push DLC before the game is even released, adding content that should have already been in the game.. It's a cash grab, especially when the game is shit, like Battlefield

I preorder to keep track of what's coming out. I drop a few bucks on them every now and then. I buy a $25 gift card from Giant Eagle every paycheck to get fuel perks. I also order the game through Microsoft's store for their free XBox Live Points offers while throwing the game in my Gamefly Q. I gauge what's even worth buying ahead of time. I use the preorder bonus code from Gamestop, read reviews and wait a week, if positive I keep the Microsoft store copy and remove from Q. Then I return the game to GameStop. If iffy, use code, rent then decide what to do if a Microsoft copy was purchased. Every game doesn't have to be bought and I avoid yearly titles. When a game is paid off and I return it (which Gamestop can't refuse) I'm just recycling that money towards the next preorder bonus I want.
Like now I have to pick up DMC that I ordered. Cancelling my Battlefield order but asking for the DLC codes anyway. Buying Borderlands with the Battlefield money. Drop some money towards Batman, etc. If lets say Batman has a DLC code I will redeem it and return it later and wait for my Microsoft copy which will give me a free $10 XBox Live points. Never forced to keep a game.
