Xbox One Console Reviews

That last Hitman was a damn good game, man... Crazy how underrated it was. It should def be mentioned as one of the best titles from last gen...

There's no where for that story to go.. I say they should just leave it alone, and develop another IP...

But, If they just remaster Gears One for the Xbox One, I'm happy..

I wanna kill more Locust, but I don't want them to magically appear again either. Gonna be interesting to see.

White Xbox One and an all-digital, less expensive console reportedly coming fall 2014

whitexboxone.jpg

Microsoft's white employee-only Xbox One could become a little less exclusive. The snow-colored console is rumored to appear alongside the cartoony shooter Sunset Overdrive this October, and a 1TB version of the hardware might release in November according to a NeoGAF thread that's been confirmed by The Verge's sources. What's more, Microsoft's latest console may also see worldwide release this year sans Blu-ray drive for $399. With the annual DICE Summit and Game Developers Conference not far off on the horizon, it might not be long before we see these rumors publicly confirmed. We've reached out to Redmond and will update this post if we hear back.

Xbox One update arriving in March, white console later this year

Microsoft is preparing to release its first major Xbox One dashboard update in March. Sources familiar with the plans have revealed to The Verge that the update will focus on fixing a number of issues with the Xbox Live service on the console, alongside other system fixes. Party-chat problems and issues with the usability and placement of social features of Xbox Live will be improved with the update. The update timing was first revealed by a forum poster at NeoGAF, and The Verge has verified it separately.

The anonymous forum poster also claims Microsoft will release a white version of its Xbox One console in October alongside the launch of Sunset Overdrive. A 1TB version of the Xbox One is rumored for release a month later in November. The Verge can confirm Microsoft is indeed planning to release its white employee-only Xbox One this year. Other rumors shared by the anonymous forum poster include the possibility of an Xbox One without a Blu-ray drive, a Bluetooth adapter, and launch dates for the console worldwide. While it's unclear if a disc-less Xbox One will make it to market, The Verge can also confirm Microsoft has been testing versions of its console without a Blu-ray drive.

Microsoft is said to be releasing Xbox One in April in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Russia, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina. An October launch of Xbox One is also rumored to follow in China, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Portugal, Slovakia, Turkey, Saudia Arabia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Israel, India, Indonesia, and Egypt.

We’ve reached out to Microsoft for comment on all the Xbox One rumors, and we’ll update you accordingly.

If you're joining the thread then this Bish-verified insider ntkrnl has been UNLEASING THE BOMBS.

Here's all the stuff so far he's said in this thread:

  • Forza Horizon: "Fall 2014, probably September. Super sexy weather system and... shit tons of co-op/social stuff. 1080P and open-world, so you can road trip with your bros."
  • White Xbone incoming.
  • Why all the leaks? Scared you might get caught? "I am incapable of fear. Plus, this is such exciting stuff, and me talking about it ahead of time isn't going to hurt anything, truthfully. We're all chomping at the bit for it to come out. This is not bad. "
  • Halo Anniversary 2 will be 1080p, iffy on the 60fps, maybe not.
  • Quantum Break is Holiday 2014
  • Multiplayer confirmed for HA2, same devs as Halo Anniversary.
  • Sunset Overdrive is Fall 2014
  • Is not Phil Spencer
  • Black Tusk cancelled project was called "Shangheist." May have involved stealing stuff from the Chinese (though I think that may have been a reference to the name and maybe not the gameplay? Not sure...)
  • Fable Legends is Summer 2015
  • Halo 2 Anniversary includes beta for Halo 5
  • Gears of War will probably need a 2.5 year dev time.
  • First Titanfall DLC is 45 days from release, then another one 120 days from release.
  • No Crackdown 3 news this year most likely, since it's a 2016 title.
  • A list w/dates of the rest of the Tier 2 and Tier 3 countries that Xbone will release in this year.
  • No info/idea on what Rare's up to, sadly.
  • $399 XB1 this year? "Maybe one without an Optical Disc Drive."

I'm heading out so people update this list accordingly...

Double Helix, who develop the sort of free-to-play Xbox One fighter Killer Instinct, have recently shared details regarding the game's next patch. Apart from a new character, it'll introduce way to punish folks who don't like to play fair.

In their notes, Double Helix calls their new system their "rage quit solution." Basically, what it does is it puts players who disconnect from matches early in a "Jail" pool, where they can only be matched against other players from the pool for a certain amount of time. Here's how it works:

- The first time your disconnect percentage goes above 15 percent you go to JAIL

- A 10 match minimum is required

- JAIL lasts for 24 hours. During this time you can only be matched against other JAIL members

- Each time you go to JAIL the amount of time increases by 24 hours (capped at 5 days – 120 hrs)

- While in JAIL your profile icon will be automatically changed to a custom JAIL icon to let you know you are in JAIL

- When your JAIL time is up, you go back into the public again (even if your disconnect percentage is back over 15%)

- However, when back in public, if you disconnect and you are still above 15 percentage you go directly back to JAIL

- For any match that sends you to JAIL, player will take a loss

So yeah, fairly thorough. Quitters shouldn't be much of a problem after this. If you wanna give the full patch notes a read, you can do so here.

SPINAL 104-Hit Ultra Combo : Killer Instinct

Killer Instinct - Spinal Gameplay with Double Ultra Combo - Free DLC

Yeah I couldn t get into Hitman because of that....
likewise...
That last Hitman was a damn good game, man... Crazy how underrated it was. It should def be mentioned as one of the best titles from last gen...
different strokes...
Was a huge fam of the Metal Gear Solid series, but could no longer get into that slow paced stealth shit :smh:

I couldn't even play MGS4 :smh:

Me too, I don't get a chance to play as often as I like so when I do, I don't want to creep around trying not to get merked. Give me some visceral action or a cool ass story then I am good.

Fuck when does this EA/NFL agreement end man?... Madden sucks dick...

I pray they at least open up a First Party loophole like Sony did with MLB The Show, and somehow they can make NFL The Show.. I swear to God I'd buy a PS4 immediately upon that game being announced..

It was supposed to end on 12/31/2013. But then I read this bullshit last night and was like :hmm::

http://www.idigitaltimes.com/articles/21686/20140129/ea-sports-nfl-license-ceo-andrew-wilson.htm

In 2004, the NFL and EA Sports signed a deal that gave EA exclusive rights to the NFL's teams, stadiums and players in their Madden NFL franchise. This move was big due to the growing popularity of the*NFL 2K5*that year and many calling that game one of the best sports games in history. While 2K5*was great in terms of gameplay, it was also only $19.99, which cut into EA's share of the football video game market. As one insider told GameSpot*when the deal took place, "I really respect them, but the consumer really loses. EA is both evil and really smart." At that time, many thought that this deal was a good thing for Madden and EA ... many of those people have stepped away from that argument.

One of the biggest complaints that came from industry insiders and gamers was that the Madden NFL games lost a competitive edge that they held when they were going up against the NFL 2K series. We all remember the uninspired EA Sports Radio show that would play during your Franchise mode or the QB Vision cone? The games have gotten worse with the next-gen release last November probably the best edition of the game in the last couple of years. With the EA/NFL license set to expire at the end of the 2013 NFL season, fans began thinking about a possible 2K resurgence and the war between EA and 2K possibly restarting and the fans being rewarded for their wait.

During Tuesday's investor call announcing EA's earnings, new CEO Andrew Wilson announced that while their agreement with the NFL did expire, there may be a new agreement already in place. "Contrary to some reports, we still have a number of years left on our agreements there," said Wilson, who was in charge of EA Sports before becoming CEO last September. "And the relationship that we have with both the NFL and the NFL Players Association continues to be extremely strong."

While the NFL/EA may have expired, EA has two other agreements in their back pocket that will make future Madden games most likely according to*Samit Sarkar of Polygon. "The publisher (EA) pays the NFL for everything related to the league's branding and its 32 teams, and has a*separate deal with the NFL Players Association*under which the names and likenesses of real NFL players appear in Madden." Operation Sports owner*Steve Noah on Twitter*attempted to get EA COO Peter Moore to elaborate on the mystery deal that EA has with the NFL which went absolutely nowhere.

For those people who were looking forward to NFL 2K15 coming this fall, well I'm sorry for you guys but it probably will not be happening. "[We] are currently in planning on the next Madden property right now, and we expect to make a number of Madden games in the future," said Wilson. We could only dream right?*

I think a trailer is coming in March or late February. I had to post some screen shots to get the PS4 fanboys on here to start talking about the games coming out for the PS4, instead of talking about the games on the Xbox one. They would rather complain about Blu ray apps, and $100 trade ins.

It's hard to find a thread with PS4 games in it on BGOL.

I wanted to make an official next gen thread...but I knew the misinformed fighting would begin. Wanted to make an offical XB1 news/q&a/troubleshooting thread...........but I know it will get bombarded with idiots. Still thinking about it though. Dudes claiming system dominance with only 2 exclusive games out, only one of which they will actually play.

New Destiny Screenshots Shine With Bungie Flavor

Destiny-1-670x376.jpg

Bungie added two new screenshots to the gallery on the official Destiny website, giving us a further glimpse on the upcoming shooter that will be released on September 9th for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3.

The two screenies, that you can see above and below, showcase the unmistakable Bungie art style that will feel definitely familiar to Halo fans. 9/9 really can’t come early enough.
