Report: Titanfall dev worked with Microsoft on 'fixing' Xbox One controller

Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment worked with Microsoft on an Xbox One update that will make the controller's analog sticks more precise, reports The Verge.

"It's just fixing the controller input, really," said Justin Hendry, design lead on Titanfall, in an interview with The Verge. "It wasn't really where we felt it should be; it was a little overly twitchy with the current controls. Now it's fixed. We're happy with it." According to Respawn, the changes implemented with the update will also improve controls in other titles, but there's no word yet on when this patch would be available.

Earlier this week, Microsoft announced a major Xbox One system update scheduled for release before Titanfall's arrival on March 11. The update features a suite of improvements and additions to the console's multiplayer gaming functionality. Respawn also indicated to The Verge that it's collaborating with Microsoft on an update to the Xbox One's display scaler, which the console uses to upscale games natively rendered at resolutions below 1080p.

Bayonetta 2 trailer shows off story, new witchy powers

Bayonetta 2, Platinum Games' sequel to its third-person action game from early 2010, gives the titular heroine new magical powers, as seen in a trailer shown during a Nintendo Direct presentation today.

The "Did You Miss Me?" trailer sets up the game's story, which originates in a struggle between two clans 500 years prior to the events of the game, the Umbra Witches and Lumen Sages. The latter group was thought to be extinct, but Bayonetta faces off against one near the end of the trailer. One of the new abilities she has in Bayonetta 2 is Umbran Climax, which allows her to build up power and unleash it in a single strong attack. You can watch the trailer below.

Nintendo originally revealed Bayonetta 2 in 2012, and said during E3 2013 that it would be released sometime in 2014. For more on the game, check out our hands-on impressions from E3.

I wouldn't buy it for just this game. While fun it is a lot of money. Would you enjoy any of the other games out? Fall would be a good time to get a new systems though. Both is a necessity eventually.

Well I would look at it as Killzone vs. Titanfall if you wanna play multiplayer. The game I'm waiting for is Destiny which is in the fall.

For anyone that didnt get a code yet, EA support is giving them out! Here's what I did (method stolen from another board)

Go here:*http://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/?product=origin&platform=pc

under topic select demo/beta

in the open field type eligibility

Click next

The next screen should look like this, if it doesnt, click refresh until it does(It took me a while)

Click Chat now

You have to wait the whole time and keep the pop up window open. It refreshes every 5 minutes or so.

When the time is up, talk to the support guy and just say that you would like to know if there is any codes available for the titanfall beta.

Dude asked me for my email and asked if I had Origin installed. *I gave him the email associated w/ my origin account and told him that I would like a code for the Xbox one.

Dude then gave me a code for the xbox one, just like that!

I went to my xbox, said "xbox, use a code" typed in the 25 character code and it said that I had purchased the titanfall beta. *

I went to my games and apps, and it was there installing.*
