The Duke Controller For Xbox One
The Xbox inventor is thinking to bring back The Duke Controller for Xbox one. Let’s see why the developers think that “The Duke” controller could become part of Xbox One. For that, you need to know about The Duke controller.

THE DUKE Controller
The Xbox controller was introduced at the Game Developers Conference in 2000, and it was the main controller for Microsoft’s Xbox console. It was called as “Duke” because it was huge and was difficult for small hands to use it. It was the first controller but after some time it got phased out and was replaced by a smaller version by Microsoft named: controller S. After that the Duke was not seen in the market. The Controller ‘S’ was the typical controller in Japan, but when its demand increased the developers decided to release it in other territories.

Xbox
Xbox was released in November 2001 by Microsoft. It became very popular soon after its release. Microsoft sold more than 24 million units that year. According to the Microsoft’s Chief Xbox officer stated in 2001, it was frequently sold out after its launch. During a week more than 100,000 units were delivered. That is why it was not available during all the vacations. It became the biggest game controller according to Guinness World Records in 2008. It would be interesting if Microsoft agrees to release the Duke for Xbox One.

Seamus Blackley’s Effort
Seamus Blackley is an American video game designer and the co-inventor of Xbox. He surprised the Xbox community by giving them a clue that there might be a possibility that Duke would make its comeback for Xbox One Release. Seamus consulted his fans on twitter asking them that would they like the idea if Microsoft made an official Xbox One compatible Duke.

If the response of people would be optimistic then he might persuade the boss of Xbox Phil Spencer to introduce an Xbox One compatible Duke controller because he is no longer a member of Microsoft. Still, there is no update about, whether this controller will come to market or not.

try playing w/ another controller a week after using this...like not even the gimmick addons and shit but just the texture of the handgrips and the solid heaviness of the controller have made it impossible for me to use the regular joint...my first one was an impulse buy...took it back after a few days...didn't get a chance to play the XB1 til a few days later after that...picked up the controller...started playing w/ it and immediately missed the elite...ordered 2 to that afternoon...no regrets...never looked back..."recently" tried out the xbox one s controller...as soon as I took it out the box and held it I put it back :smh:

Mass Effect: Andromeda's creative director advises fans to keep save files

Creative Director of Mass Effect: Andromeda, Mac Walters, has advised fans to keep hold of their save data for the upcoming sci-fi RPG after completion.

While BioWare themselves have stated on numerous occasions that Andromeda won’t be the start of a new trilogy in the Mass Effect universe it seems that events during Andromeda might be important to upcoming games, even if they aren’t direct sequels to Andromeda.

“I don’t think it would hurt to keep (saves).” Walters said during an interview with Game Informer.” Right now, to be honest, we are focused on this game, and as I’ve said to people before, we very much think of Andromeda as a series. What we do with that series is TBD at this point. I think right now, we know we don’t want it to be a trilogy, in the sense of, we’re planning this three-part story in three games. But that said, key elements like the Pathfinders, even the Ryders themselves, those are things that are going to make another appearance in the next game.”

Xbox One operating system versions and system updates

Note
- If you are in the preview program, then you should already have this update.

OS version: 10.0.14393.2152 (rs1_xbox_rel_1610 161208-1218) fre

Release date: 12/14/2016

Performance and general improvements

Download performance

We’ve made several optimizations to game and app downloads on Xbox One:

  • Customers with high-speed connections (greater than 100Mbps) should experience up to 80% faster download speeds.

  • Customers with connections less than 100Mbps should experience more consistent performance that is up to 40% faster than before.

  • Additional optimizations have also made background downloads more resilient to intermittent connectivity issues.
Download speeds will be influenced by network contention within the home and at the ISP level. Download speeds will also be impacted when games are running on the console as system resources are prioritized for gameplay over background downloads. For more information, visit Troubleshoot slow game or app downloads on Xbox One.

Wireless controller

  • Firmware update to improve performance.
Background Music

  • General performance improvements for added reliability and consistent experiences across steaming music apps.
Miscellaneous

  • General stability and performance improvements.

I bought a old ps4 for 120 a few weeks ago...on!y played it once. I love my Xbox one. I bought a second one for downstairs. I might have a problem...LOL

aint nothing wrong with having 2 of the same systems if they getting play. i bought my ps4 around the time street fighter 5 came out and i probably played on it maybe 10 times lol. when they finally release those exclusives they showed off that aint coming out for like 2 years i'll play it lol.

I got two Xbox one's. Gonna give the old one away Christmas, then sell the S or trade in the S for the Scorpio when it drops.

You do know the have 5k now. You will still be behind the curve in a couple years.

but i like being "behind" because i like for new tech to have time to mature before i buy into it. believe me i keep up with the tech world. whether its tvs, computer stuff, digital cinema, or sound equipment i know whats out there. right now the only thing 5k is computer monitors and i dont like small screens. my reason for waiting on 4k is because i want OLED tech to be further along. i also want HDR10 and dolby vision to be a standard option when choosing my next set. and if i can help it it'll also support 3D even though its a fading consumer component in tvs as of late. my current tv will suffice until its time for it to "retire" lol. i dont need a 4k system when i dont have the tv yet.
