X-Men: Apocalypse trailer out

I would trade this and pretty much all the other x-men movies for 1 good one about Onslaught starring Patrick Stewart and Ian McKlellan.
BUT, you would also have to throw in Cable, Deadpool, Legion, the Morlocks, and the original X-Men 1 actors.

There's a reason why all the X-men movies disappoint on some level.
First of all, The X-Men are like the Wu-Tang Clan of Marvel Comics. The roster runs deep as fuck and everybody is looking forward to seeing their favorite characters show up. Outside of the core group, however, every new X-Man who gets introduced is :
A. looks good and gets 15-30 seconds of screen time.
B. looks like shit and gets way too much screen time.
C. gets his/her powers changed from what they were in the comics to something stupid in order to fit into the script

Second, the problem with the X-Men movies is fan service, or more specifically, the lack thereof. Sure, we got a dream team cast in the first movie , but it went downhill from there
Due to the fact that most moviegoers aren't as familiar with the "B-level" characters and the stories as the rest of us, the plot and script get dumbed down into the simplest piece of shit that the average fucktard can follow. These movies aren't made for us: we're the minority.
WE don't need 1 and 1/2 hour origin stories. WE don't need entire 12 issue story arcs from the comics turned into 90 minute movies.
What we need is original fucking stories that aren't pieced together by lazy ass writers.
What we need is for mf's to stop casting whatever actor/actress just happens to be hot right now and stop expanding those roles beyond what makes sense in the movies. (i.e., Mystique) I get it, the big name is supposed to be the draw for ticket sales, but we all know that aside from her kids (Graydon Creed, Nightcrawler, and *Rogue*) Mystique is about as important as Aunt May.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. EXCEPT...Jennifer whats her face wasn't a big name when she got Mystique. I don't think any of them were really.

Magneto showing up in the Avengers. Dealing with Wanda. No More Mutants. They could do a Cool ass Xtinction Agenda and Magneto War. Infinty War. Mannnn don't get me started on the day Marvel gets these characters back. smh All the storylines they could do.

the current actor that play magneto is good...would be dope to have magneto in an avengers flick...wolverine in infinity gauntlets

X-Men is probably the one property Marvel Studios should never touch.
I'm the first to admit that the Fox X-Men movies aren't GREAT, but I have a feeling that Marvel would really fuck that franchise up.
In fact, Marvel views Fox as the superhero movie studio to beat, not DC/Warner Bros. It's because X-Men set the standard that Marvel Studios measures its movies against.
If Marvel REALLY wants to do a "crossover" film, all they have to do is reach out to Fox like they did with Sony for Spiderman. There's nothing stopping these 2 from making a movie together, except Marvel wants Fox to fail so bad that they HAVE to give up the property. And Marvel is perfectly willing to let the X-Men brand die slowly onscreen and in the comics in order to get them back.

Other than McAvoy (and Kevin Bacon) she was the hottest name on the movie, because the cast was kinda unknown.
Fox wasn't going to waste money on big name actors until they knew that a "retro" X-Men was going to make a profit.
Lawrence got hot off Winter's Bone and she was already signed to Hunger Games and House At the End of the Street by the time X-Men: 1st class started filming. Might not seem like much, but she ended up 4th from the top in billing because she was the female lead. Fast forward to DOFP and they made Mystique's power the main ingredient for Sentinel development so that she could be the center of the movie.

Alight I'm already feeling this Storm more than Hallie Berry's version

Yeah I like the vision of her riding a Lighting Bolt. The look is a definite upgrade.

Yeah it didn't seem like much to me lol. I first saw her boring ass in Hunger Games. And then xmen...so i had never heard of the chick till then.

Fox probably trying to figure out a way of reaching out to Marvel about the Fantastic 4

They're going to wait for Marvel to come to them with an offer to renegotiate the contracts.
Fox gets at least 50% piece of the merchandising off Fantasic Four and X-Men, so even when a movie bombs, they still make free money off whatever company actually made the merchandise, without lifting a finger.
Unfortunately, Marvel controls what merchandise gets made. This year, Marvel cancelled the contracts for all toys, video games, T-shirts, etc. for FF and Xmen. So now, Fox has to get all their money off the movies, because the free ride is over.
Still, Marvel has a lot more to lose than Fox. If DC/Warner movies start cutting into Marvel's market share, they're going to need X-men and FF , not the Inhumans.

AND THE CGI IN THIS MOVIE LOOKS LIKE IT IS ON THE SCALE OF 1990'S MUSIC VIDEO QUALITY LEVEL.

Da fawk happened to the budget!?!? Did Singer funnel the money to pay off those molestation charges?

apocalypse needs to look like this

Duke was my favorite villain in the Cartoon universe....with his street preacher lines.

"Ha, ha,.....little blue man" (As said to Beast).

Some others:

"X-Men: Come the Apocalypse (#1.10)" (1993)
Apocalypse: [to his Horsemen] The old world passes away. Together, we shall forge a new one, in fire and blood. The future is transformed. I am the instrument to purify the world, the evil of humans and mutants must be cut away! You shall help me, tear down the old order! Those who oppose me shall perish, through my agents of destruction!

Apocalypse: I am APOCALYPSE! Look upon the future, AND TREMBLE! All who oppose me... shall be crushed!
[steps on a camera]

Apocalypse: Increase the power! I want to hear the cries of a future being born!

Apocalypse: You had the chance to be the first of my creatures, the first to serve my purpose.
Rogue: Dang! And I missed it!

"X-Men: Time Fugitives: Part 1 (#2.7)" (1993)
Apocalypse: [to Creed] I am as far beyond mutants as they are beyond you. I am eternal!

Apocalypse: Watch me and tremble... for I bring the purity of oblivion!

"X-Men: Beyond Good and Evil: Part 1 (#4.8)" (1995)
Apocalypse: [on Cable] Am I doomed to struggle with such filth, until the end of time?

Cable: The world won't stomach your evil forever!
Apocalypse: Evil? I am not malevolent. I simply AM! Which soon will be more than I can say for YOU!

"X-Men: Obsession (#3.10)" (1994)
Apocalypse: I am the rocks of the eternal shore. Crash against me and be broken!

Apocalypse: [being attacked, laughs] You are no closer than the Babylonians with their swords and fire-sticks!

"X-Men: The Cure (#1.9)" (1993)
Apocalypse: I know more of this world than you can even dream. That is why I must destroy it!

The annual rite of passage for Bryan Singer X-Men movies continue.

Stills from production comes out - BGOL complains. Singer sucks.
Trailer comes out – BGOL complains. Singer can't direct and is ruining the film.
Movie comes out – BGOL calls it the greatest thing ever. They knew it was going to be great. Can't wait for the next one.

BGOL Groundhog Day is upon us again. X-Men style.

‘X-Men: Apocalypse' Trailer Hints The Morlocks?
J Mendoza | Dec 13, 2015 11:27 AM EST

  • the-morlocks-is-an-underground-group-in-the-x-men-universe.jpg
The Morlocks is an underground group in the X-Men universe.

With the release of Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Apocalyse" trailer, it is assumed that the upcoming Marvel Comics film will feature the underground group, the Morlocks.

Released on Dec. 14, the "X-Men: Apocalypse" trailer saw a hooded Apocalyse enter a dark room. In the same room was young Storm with her mohawk hairdo and a man with the bald head, which was presumably Caliban.

Singer confirmed that Caliban is the man in the "X-Men: Apocalypse" trailer. In his interview with Empire, Singer said that Caliban was bald and had funky eyes. The filmmaker added that he was a great and really cool character.

In March, Singer also confirmed Caliban's inclusion in "X-Men: Apocalypse." The filmmaker took to Instagram a photo, which featured Caliban's territory. In the caption, he wrote, "Shooting Caliban's place of "business" #Xmen #XMenApocalypse."

In the comics, Caliban is recruited by Callisto, the leader of the Morlocks. In addition to his fighting, hunting, and scavenging skills, Caliban is best known for his mutant-tracking ability, within a 25 mile radius, which Callisto used to form the Morlocks.

In Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse," Apocalypse presumably used Calibro's ability to search for other mutants and recruit his Four Horsemen.

While the Morlocks' appearance in Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is highly probable due to Caliban's presence in the trailer, it is assumed that the film may see other mutants who are outcast from the society, according to Cinema Blend.

X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer Features A Cool Morlock Easter Egg, See It Now
BY ADAM HOLMES

Professor Charles Xavier’s X-Men, consisting of his "First Class" allies and his younger students, and Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen. Of course, the world is a big place, and not every mutant will fall into those two categories. Case in point- thenew trailer released today featured an Easter Egg referencing an underground group that has been part of the X-Men world for decades: The Morlocks.

Early in the preview, there’s a moment where a hooded Apocalypse enters a dark room where two figures are already waiting. The mohawk automatically identifies one of them as the young Storm, played by Alexandra Shipp, but the man with the bald head looks like Morlock member Caliban. Take a glance for yourself below.

When Empire asked director Bryan Singer if this is Caliban during their breakdown of the trailer, here’s what he said:Caliban’s bald and has funky eyes. He’s a great character. Really cool.
One of Singer’s behind-the-scenes photos from earlier in the year showed the production shooting "Caliban’s place of business," so the bald-headed mutant will indeed be playing some kind of role in the 2016 blockbuster. Whether we’ll see any other Morlocks in the movie is uncertain but, like in the comics, they’ll presumably be made of mutants who are outcasts from normal society. As for Caliban, he is capable of detecting any mutant presence within a 25 mile radius, which made him the group’s prime recruiter in the lore.

Caliban has also been a member of the X-Men, X-Force and X-Factor since being introduced in 1981, and was briefly transformed by Apocalypse into the Horsemen Death. However, since all of the Horsemen spots are taken in X-Men: Apocalypse(Storm, Magneto, Psylocke and Angel), we presumably won’t see him turn monstrous this time.

The Morlocks were previously adapted for 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand, although they were called The Omegas. Magneto and Pyro recruited them to help on their mission of mutant superiority after the cure was released. Just like in the comics, Callisto was the leader, although in addition to super speed, she was also given Caliban’s location power. After appearing in animated shows like X-Men: The Animated Series and X-Men: Evolution, it is finally Caliban’s chance to shine in live action. It’s unclear why Apocalypse will be meeting with him, but taking his power into account, perhaps the ancient Egyptian powerhouse wants him to find more mutants to recruit to his cause.

Omega Red should be in Wolverine 3, but so far no main villain has been announced yet.
Wolverine 3 should be the set-up for X-23. And I hope Omega Red's overhyped ass is nowhere near that movie.
There's gang of great villains who haven't appeared onscreen yet. Omega Red is nowhere near the top of that list.

if u think about it... magneto + storm+ apocalypse..there's no way in the world xmen beats these guys

that's why i said xavier has to take over magneto mind and have him rip apocalypse to shreds
