Me too. I'm happy he won, but I do think he came back too early.
I think they mean relative to the era they were released. Sure, Flair & Hogan are bigger than ANYONE in this rumble, but relative big names/era ratio, the 2010 rumble has more big name current (for its time) players that entered than the 1992 one.
With that said, I have to say the 2010 rumble is easily among the 3 best ever (and this is coming from someone who isn't much of a fan of WWE's current product as a whole). I'd put it behind ONLY 2004 and the 1992 versions. There wasn't much slowdown, and nearly anyone that entered there could have won (something I can't say for most royal rumbles). All hate aside, this was a fantastic royal rumble.

To each there own. I'm not just thinking about the high points of the match (even the horrible 1999 rumble had a point), but as a whole. Let's face it, most rumbles get bogged down a lot during the middle with more than half of the people who enter clearly having no chance of winning. That wasn't the case here. Although this rumble wasn't perfect (pretty obvious botch on Batista's part, for example), it is easily in the higher end of the rumbles if you break things down unbiasly (i.e. not just looking at things from the perspective of not being a fan of most people in the ring, your personal favorite wrestlers of all time not entering, the WWE is PG now so therefore they can't have good PPV anymore, etc).
Sorry if my opinion hurt your feelings.
Note: Just for clarification, I'm ONLY talking about the Royal Rumble match itself, NOT the PPV as a whole. To my count, there was only one good match outside of the rumble match (Rey/Undertaker). Taking the PPV as a whole, it's somewhere in the middle, with 2 matches saving the show and the booking not being as irritating as they could have been for the other matches.
The Royal Rumble 2004 was REALLY disappointing, for example, if you take the PPV as a whole (even the HBK/HHH match, after coming off a really great RAW matchup between those two, ended up being weak for some reason). But the Royal Rumble match itself was easily one of the best.
