WrestleMania XXX April 6th, 2014 - Official Discussion Thread

Guess this is what all the Sting talks is about...

(Maybe an 2012 interview)

Not sure if anything happen since...

An Undertaker quote from an interview last on retirement....

"Honestly, I love it, that's why," Calaway said. "I've got 26 years in the business and all these injuries, but WrestleMania has become so huge, it's just hard to walk away from it. I want the audience leaving the stadium going 'Wow!' It's a responsibility I have being a top dog in this business. The crowd will let me know when it's time to leave. They haven't yet."

Calaway also said that "if I didn't perform at WrestleMania, in some strange weird way, I'd feel like I was letting Vince McMahon down."

Horrible booking. They wasted the Shield & Wyatts, that 6 man match should've been tonight. They wasted an opportunity to put Bray over. No IC or Tag title on the card, steady devaluing the belts....they had some great moments, but dropped the ball completely.

The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar Brock Wins and breaks Undertakers streak.

Winner Gets Added to Title Match:
Triple H vs. Daniel Bryan Daniel Bryan wins

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Triple Threat:
Randy Orton (c) vs. Batista vs. Triple H or Daniel Bryan Daniel Bryan wins title

6-Man Tag:
The Shield vs. Kane & The New Age Outlaws The Shield wins

John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt John Cena wins

30-Man Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal Big Slow wins battle royal

Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational: Superhead wins

Ha! Didn't watch WM30, but I know my wrestling.
Brock won. I was right.
Daniel Bryant beat Triple H and Won title. Right again and again.
The Shield won. Right Again.
John Cena won. Right again!
Big Show didn't win but he was at the end of Battle Royal. Only loss.
Superhead winning women's whatever meant who really gives a shit about that match. No contest.

5 for 6 ain't bad.

One of the Events I went to as a kid.

this will probably be the first thing thats addressed on RAW tonight(re:the streak)..probably might take up the whole beginning hour

Actually they do. (In most cases it's because of injury or the match is running long) This is why the refs have earpieces in so they can get instruction from the back.

Perfect example of an audible was Sting/Jeff Hardy where Hardy was high as giraffe pussy so Sting pinned him quick in the beginning of the match.

No for real, just about every match, for the whole match, the wrestler are talking to each other telling each other what they're about to do so that they can execute the move safely. They call that shit "calling spots."

Only the finishes or big spots are pre-planned. The rest of the match is kinda freestyled. And then the refs tell them how much time they have and that's how they know when to finish the match.

The thing is now the cameras have mics on them (because the producers want to catch the shit the wrestlers say to the crowd) but what happens now is that wrestlers can sometimes be heard calling spots if the cameras are too close. I know one of the Rock/Cena matches was like that where you could just hear them calling spots to each other all match long.

Here's examples of wrestlers calling spots to each other:

They probably did let Taker make the final call.

I'm not talking about calling spots, I already know about that.
I'm talking about changing who will win the match in the middle of the match.
That almost never happens.

now that WM 30 is over, I'll be interested to see how WWE keep those who subscribed to the Network satisfied...some people put 20 on a prepaid card and subscribed to it mainly for 'Mania

Mania was a success (IMO) so I think subscription #'s will go up.

key word in that is was, I'll be keeping my subscription for the 6 months and then go from there

Now that Bryan has the belt I think he can sell the network for the wwe. The wrestling world is crazy about that dude. He will fill seats, sell fix, and carry the network unless they duck it up and let another random friend of Triple H get an undeserved title shot like Bootistia

Man, Vince is about that money so he keeps the drama going.

Sting could be the new draw, since there's been convo with him and Vince. His name been buzzing for a few years...

I like theses storylines for idea starters...

-Some one disrespecting the Rock
-Stone cold getting involve somewhere...
-New superstars continue to evolve(the "yea" movement is huge, that farm boy is alright)
-A bad vs bad storyline would be nice...
-the beast vs ______ in a cage match!!!
-the shield having a legit rival...
-A Tag team with the attitude of the Road Warriors!!!
