the fakers lost the 6th spot tonight (for how long?), as denver took 6th, moving the fakers into 7th.
i already acknowledged my prediction of 50 games was faulty. don't tell me a prediction of 40 wins is too many too.

Still, I hope that he improves himself somehow this summer.
He always had some insane summer workouts, like one summer he added tons of muscle, one summer he run every day, all day and he was in a perfect running shape etc..
I don't know what is good for him at this point, bulking up again might be a decent idea since he has lost a step anyway so why not get stronger but IDK, the additional weight could also damage his knee..
If he does cardio all day, every day how much can he really improve?

Jackson got fined $50,000 for accusing the league of having a vendetta against Kobe Bryant, then lost a seventh straight game for the first time in his 16-year coaching career Thursday night when the Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Denver Nuggets 113-86.
Kleiza scored a career-high 29 points and Carmelo Anthony had 26 as the Nuggets handed the Lakers their 13th loss in 16 games.
"That's great when you've got a guy coming off the bench contributing the way he has," Allen Iverson said of Kleiza, who scored 24 against Sacramento on Sunday. "He never cares about starting or anything like that. When his opportunity comes, he's just always ready."
Kleiza shrugged off his career night:
"It was just one of those games where the shots were going down. Melo and Iverson were doing a great job sharing the ball," he said.
Kleiza was doing a great job putting it through the hoops, hitting 10-of-13 shots, including 5-of-6 from the arc.
Iverson couldn't have picked Kleiza out of a crowd when he came over from Philadelphia three months ago but said the second-year forward was the catalyst for the Nuggets' biggest win since the trade.
"I didn't know who he was when I got here, but a nationally televised game, I think a lot of people around the world know who he is now," Iverson said.
Iverson added 14 points and 13 assists and Marcus Camby had 11 points and 14 boards for the Nuggets, who moved into a tie with the Lakers for the sixth spot in the Western Conference playoff race.
Bryant's 25 points led the free-falling Lakers, who couldn't capitalize on the return of Luke Walton and Lamar Odom despite building a double-digit lead in a mostly stellar first half.

this is still the incorrect position. these individuals perceive a diminishing of tobe's skills. IN FACT, tobe has never had the skills they imagine he has lost. that is how complete and successful their deception has been.
these types of comments ALWAYS MAKE ME LAUGH. unless you were with tobe EVERY SINGLE DAY while he worked out, you wouldn't be in any position to discuss the nature or length of tobe's workout regimen. FURTHERMORE, unless you were with AT LEAST ONE OTHER player EVERY SINGLE DAY while he worked out (to establish a baseline), you wouldn't be in any position to comment on how rigourous or thorough his workouts are in comparison.

i will say this for the record here and now. tobe has NOT lost a step, nor is his game in decline. physically, tobe's skills and abilities are BETTER than what he entered the league with. mentally, tobe's understanding of the game has made NO improvement in a decade. i've always maintained that tobe would be MOST PRODUCTIVE at the SF OFF THE BENCH. the experiment worked in san antonio when they moved manu ginobili to the bench.

I should clarify the whole second fiddle thing. What I mean is that so far that's the only role he's proven anything as. So far, the jury is still out on Kobe the franchise player.
And I'm not pointing out his failures as if that's all there is to his career. However, his fans frequently gloss over those things and still call him the best and I think you have to weigh EVERYTHING. The good, the bad and the ugly.
And when one looks at those failures, I can't imagine how they can still draw the conclusion that he's the best no question and all of that stuff. I just have a very hard time believing that no other players could have done better in those situations.
If he's still the best despite those incidents, then what his fans are saying is that they'd expect other superstar level players to have done even WORSE!

A team is ONLY as good as its COLLECTIVE personnel and how they mesh together within a viable offensive/defensive scheme for the skills that the collective team has.

the pitiful state of the worstern conference makes it next to impossible for the fakers to NOT make the playoffs. even though the fakers haven't clinched a playoff spot, playoff tickets are already on sale.
EVEN IF the fakers lost ALL OF their remaining games, it would still take the following for them to be knocked out of contention.
clippers would have to go 4-4 over their last 8 games. 4 against playoffs teams, 4 on the road.
warriors would have to go 4-2 over their last 6 games. 3 against playoffs teams, 3 on the road.
nuggets would have to go 2-5 over their last 7 games. 4 against playoffs teams, 5 on the road.

any ONE or TWO of those scenarios by themselves is NOT impossible. but ALL FOUR together? highly unlikely. and ALL FOUR would have to take place for the fakers to get bounced out of the playoffs.
i thought that was an upset until i discovered that josh howard only played 7 minutes after twisting his ankle in Q1. then it all made sense.
yeah. excuse me if i'm not overwhelmed that the fakers beat the SECOND WORST team in the worstern conference (14th out of a possible 15 teams), who were playing without their leading scorer, ray allen. the supersonics also lost PG luke ridnour during the game.
oh, but i guess it was fair, because the fakers didn't have kwame brown either. and coach jackson benched william parker again, so everything evened out.

regarding tobe's 27 shots: i guess fakers fans are comfortable seeing tobe shooting 34%+ of the fakers shots BY HIMSELF. i'm sure they're not bright enough to figure out that a more balanced O would make things considerably easier for the team.

Trade Lamar Odom, Kwame Brown and Jordan Farmar on Draft Night to the Pacers for Jermaine O'neal and Jamal Tinsley 2. They will draft Rodney Stuckey with there first pick and Sean Williams with there 2nd pick which is near the top of the 2nd rd. 3. They will sign and trade Luke Walton to Miami for Michael Doleac and Dorell Wright. This is at Shaq's request.
first off, let me comment on assistant gm ronnie lester. i think ronnie lester does a very good job for the fakers and i think he's an EXCELLENT judge of talent. next, let me comment on player ronnie lester. i think ronnie lester was another FINE EXAMPLE of talented point guards that come out of the midwest. ronnie lester is an example of a point guard who stands head and shoulders above the second class PGs that come out of the west.

OK. now the meat of the post. kwame brown, lamar odom and jordan farmar for jermaine o'neal and jamal tinsley. salaries are close. within $2M of each other next year. so that's in the realm of possibility. but would coach jackson really be interested in jamal tinsley, who has been bitten with the injury bug, and isn't the type of PG he really likes for the triangle (jamal tinsley is shorter than william parker)?
rodney stuckey is believable, because the fakers have shown in the past they're willing to gamble on streaky scorers like von wafer.
regarding luke walton, i think it would be wise for him to re-sign with the fakers. the triangle is responsible for making him look good.

Trade Lamar Odom, Kwame Brown and Jordan Farmar on Draft Night to the Pacers for Jermaine O'neal and Jamal Tinsley 2. They will draft Rodney Stuckey with there first pick and Sean Williams with there 2nd pick which is near the top of the 2nd rd. 3. They will sign and trade Luke Walton to Miami for Michael Doleac and Dorell Wright. This is at Shaq's request.
first off, let me comment on assistant gm ronnie lester. i think ronnie lester does a very good job for the fakers and i think he's an EXCELLENT judge of talent. next, let me comment on player ronnie lester. i think ronnie lester was another FINE EXAMPLE of talented point guards that come out of the midwest. ronnie lester is an example of a point guard who stands head and shoulders above the second class PGs that come out of the west.

Clippers and golden state are both only 2 games off the Lakers and the Lakers have Phoenix next on the road! So they are taking a L there most likely. Clippers have Portland next and and the Warriors have Sacramento next. This could get very interesting..though the Lakers have two softer games on the final two, it is very feasible they could get knocked out. The warriors really only have 1 tough game left with Dallas but the other three are very winnable games.

Well let it be noted I'm not a Laker fan I am a Bull fan but Kobe is my favorite player. Anyways, I hope the Lakers dont make it they don't deserve to. The team as a whole has played shitty since the injuries and those injuries are still no excuse to slide they way they did. The team plays terrible team defense last night before I turn the game off Clippers had 114 points and the 4th quarter wasn't done yet. For the "sports analyst" and "geniuses" saying that Kobe needs to dominate the game every night for the Lakers to win is basically saying the team as a whole sucks, which I dont see they are not the most talented team but they have a chemistry that was obvious at the beginning of the year when Kobe was taking so less shots and passing more. Kobe being passive is the reason they took the "MIGHTY" Suns to 7games. Him being passive is more deadly to the opposition because when he needs to he can turn it on and be that offensive weapon which IMO is the best offensive game in the league. Now about that trade for J. Oneal and Tinsley I can see that but I don't see Tinsley. Then they did sign Vlad and they did trade Caron Butler for Brown. If they did the Walton trade that would be dumb as shit too. That dude is a intelligent player he always has been even in high school.
