Cube has 2 classic albums...then branched out into other mediums and totally fell off with his album material and music...

1-10 is RIDICULOUS....plus Common embarrassed him in a diss record back in the day....which dropped his status IMO

I love rappers like Rakim, Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, D.I.T.C., Boot Camp Clik etc..but they simply don't have enough content to be in the discussion. BIG is only in it because of his huge impact and untimely death. The other guys can't use death as an excuses. Cube is the top West Coast Rapper off all time period...and in the discussion for top 5 if you are not biased. Who else has solo platinum and platinum in two different groups...one of those groups being legendary and groundbreaking...solid efforts for more than a decade...is battle tested...and has hot songs ranging from trivial to political. Not to mention having actual lyrical ability...and the fact that he did it all without making a "Sunshine" or "Candy Shop" is why he and L.L. are my top two ever.

You're correct with either. Death Certificate is #1 on my Greatest Rap Albums of all time list. This is the album that predicted and in some cases fueled the riots.

I'm oldschool. So I still call a song a "record".

I tend to separate the 4 different coast (East, West, North & South...yes I know that there's no North coast...work with me), because it is too hard to have a straight up & down Top 100 list of every rapper ever. Cats like Posdnuos, Q-Tip & Treach, that deserve decent rankings, wouldn't get it due to the overabundance of talent on their coasts.

Anyway, if you ask me, Cube is in the Top Five for the West Coast & Top 15 Overall.

You just can't deny his influence & his legacy, it's really that simple. If you can give KRS-ONE & Rakim a Top 10 or even 5 ranking, then why you can't do it with Cube? He holds the same amount of weight.

And Will Smith should be on everybody Top 25! But I'm not gonna start today.
