Watched Rocky 4.5 last night...i mean Creed 2 ...

I saw Green Book the other day instead, because I feel important to see smaller budget movies the first weekend instead.

Too lazy to see it today. Plus it seems everyone else has the same idea of going to the movies when it's raining. I'll probably see it tomorrow.

I've heard pretty good things about it.

I liked it, but it is NO WAY that Drago and Creed are in the same weight class! He would have to take a leg off in order to compete in that weight class.

I found it funny all the "good guys" in this franchise have let their friends fight to the almost to or to death. Rocky wouldn't throw the towel for Apollo. And Duke wouldn't throw the towel for Adonis. But the "bad guy" threw the towel to save his son. Who is the real villian?

Nitpick: They don't let parents do the hearing tests. The mother is usually resting and they take the baby out to run those tests.

Who did? MBJ?

nah... When you have the money and time to transform your body it can easily be done.

they are all on steroids dude

the square cut shoulders is one give away

but all hollywood stars are

everytime, one gets into an action movie

they hire a personal trainer and do steroids to get cut quickly

its not a secret

Unless you know something we don't know as far as inside information then it's hard work. Like I say I've seen it happen and it doesn't take long to go from fairly good shape to ripped to the gills.

I like the movie!!! But Ivan drago had it bad. They mom all fucked up. sly let his wife back in the movie after she backed him on that rape shit last yr

Haven’t watched it yet, what is this in reference to? Is there a baby Creed?

My daughter is deaf and she was born, she had her hearing screenings done in my wife’s room, with us present.

gotta support tho....was a lot of blackness in it....

sly might not b racist after all...:rolleyes2:

whats the story behind Ryan not directing this one...?

I've never gotten a racial vibe from Stallone but with some guys you never know until the end.

@moblack without going into spoilers I think the idea was that a lot like we see with the Putin shit...if the state ain't behind you, you're not able to prosper

Yeah but someone who got talent gone get taken away and exploited in the states. If a dude in Russia is 18 and 6’11 and got a cold jumper someone gone pay for him a one way ticket out. I do get what you saying though.

For the fam' in Canada who might read this and that have the Bravo network ... check your local listings today (Sunday, Nov. 25th) as it looks like they are marathoning Rocky V, Rocky Balboa & Creed today. Just set the DVR for them.

My daughter is deaf and she was born, she had her hearing screenings done in my wife’s room, with us present.

So then it is different in different hospitals, cause both of my kids (born in the same hospital) had their screenings done outside of my wifes room with neither of us present

Also sorry wasn't trying to spoil it, yes there is a baby.

I liked it a lot. I wouldn't be mad if it stopped here but I would like him to have his own legacy movie. Something not tied to the past again. But we will see.

Imma check it out, the only reason I missed it was because of the weather, I'll peep this coming weekend. The first was just okay to me this one looks more entertaining. Yes some of the music in the first one was good especially the seen when Tessa's character sang.

Nah i bet Clubber Lang's son is who they may have Creed fight next.. was expecting a after-credits scene where we see someone watching the last fight on television then he says"Man i could whoop his ass easily..say Dad,what would your prediction be if i were to fight him?"

Cut to Mr T.,who looks at the camera: "PAIN.:hmm:"

That would have been nice

Heavyweight class is 200lb and over. Creed won the Heavyweight WBC title

Nah like he said they wouldn't be fighting in the same weight class in real life, MBJ was 190 lbs during this movie, in real life MBJ would be a Light HW, he'd cut to 175 lbs and fight there. The german pro boxer that plays Drago actually cut from 235 lbs he usually is down to 225 lbs for this role. He is a legit HW, there are very few HWs in history that fought at below 200 lbs like MBJ is in the movie. Only ones would be Rocky Marciano, Roy Jones Jr, Chris Byrd that I could think of.

It was good, not as good as the first one imo.

Coogler did a better job with the characters in the first one; however, I think the Director/Writers did a better job thematically in this one. Also, some of the visuals were really dope (Creed ringside entrance) in this movie.

For me Creed was A, Creed 2 was B+.

I'm not talking about in real life, I'm pointing out that in the beginning of the movie he won the Heavyweight title. I wouldn't know what these actors walk around at, but anything over 200lbs is a heavyweight, it's no cut off... BTW190lbs is not Light-Heavyweight

man, this movie was good.
At first i thought it was gonna be cliche and have him lose the first fight then come back and win. Glad they took another route.
The Drago family story was cool as well. Good acting from both MBJ and Sly. Beginning was a nice throwback to the first movie.

But i think it should end now. I dont see what direction they could go in.

Thunder Lips daughter and Clubber Langs son are now married and are fight promoters.....and are holding Rocky's son hostage in exchange for Adonnis throwing the next title bout against Tommy Gunn's younger brother.....

it could work breh.....

im sending this to sly

I thought it was cool, but I thought it was missing something. I enjoyed the fight sequences.

but when the talking started going on I was like. I cared more about the Drago/Viktor story than the Adonis one.

They tried to make a big deal about the daughter but I didn't find it a big deal. Your wife deals with it.

And him acting like he was paralyzed at the hospital had me going. :hmm: Look at me. How is my baby going to see me like this. :hmm: Over dramatic and over the top.

I hope they stop, because I can see it getting like Rocky 5 and 6. Who is he going to fight next, Clubber Lang Jr?

Yes and no. This one humanized Drago and Viktor.

Rocky took more of a back seat in this one, besides his speeches.

If you read my post I said in real life he'd cut down to 175 for the weigh in to fight at Light HW, these Light HW boxers aren't 175 on fight night they cut weight by draining water weight to make the scale at 175 and then rehydrate on fight night. Most 190 lb boxers will fight at 175.

I was talking about a movie, I thought that the person that I was responding to was talking about two actors that played characters in a movie. Not real life fighters lol My fault for responding to the original post :hmm:
