Im wondering how should I transition each event so it can flow right.......I dont want it to sound retarded...Thats my only problem

...I finished 3rd in both the BGOL writing contests. Second in one of those if you don't count the guy that I KNOW plagiarized...you know who you are...and you don't think anybody else reads graphic novels:itsawrap:

whoa son who plagerized lol.. that's sad if someone did...

What I don't get is why you felt the need to plagiarize in a writing contest with no money involved. The fact that you lol'd in your PM to me shows that you thought you were slick but got caught because you thought you could sneak a slightly different version of The Walking Dead past us.

I, like the other writers here, took time out of my busy (or could have been doing other things) schedule to write my two short stories. I put my heart in it and thought of new and creative ways to character build/develop as well as a way of creating something that is new and not seen before. Hell, I had the hardest time staying within the boundaries of 2500 words.

I admit, that I was in a way mimicking Maelstrom because his Minotaur story took off so fast when my story "The Hunters" gave the slower details first, painting the background before fleshing out the hunters. By grabbing the reader early and no relinquishing them, Maelstrom's story did what my first one did not. So I copied at least that part of his idea with my second story.

On the other hand, you took The Walking Dead and changed a few characters/details and that was it. From the guy sitting atop the camper with the gun in the stand to the outlook of the camp with was a clear ripoff off. Unless YOU are the real writer behind The Walking Dead then you ripped it off.

I know you did it, just admit it.

**EDIT**

I take this back. This was a really good story. TWD may have been inspiration, but the story is all yours. I was watching Finding Forrester recently where Jamal took the first paragraph of Forrester's writing and made a story completely his own. Also, there are Harry Potter fan books with characters from the Potter series in adventures created by different authors. The fact that they are inspired by another writer's idea doesn't make the story they create less original. So, good job.

Somehow, the links to the stories were killed. One I converted to www.freetexthost.com before it died on the other website. For the other authors, if you have your old entries to this contest please post them. I'll try to find mine tomorrow. I added to it but I will try to find the original entry when I get to work tomorrow.
