Vandamation.....it's your turn homey.

Thoughts on Nore, or any Nore stories :dunno:

Nore was a WILD young dude... Always in some shit... I knew his sister,India from High School... The fact that he became the rapper that he is... is AMAZING!!!...

He's a little younger than me so I never hung out with him but his name(they used to called him Poppy) was always involved in some shit...

I used to see him all of the time at Penalty Records when he first dropped his album... Real cool... Funny ass dude... Nore is a good dude... Same goes for Capone...

I don't know if a whole thread is necessary but I'll say this... My Hip Hop history is of a certain era... I've said it many times, I grew up with Large Professor, Mike Geronimo, Royal Flush, Mr.Cheeks, Chy-Skillz(he produced ONYX'S first album) and a few others... I also got to know Nas when he was 16 years old through Large. SO, I basically saw Large's WHOLE history in Hip Hop... From his first studio sessions at 1212 Studios... to him being in high school and producing Eric B and Rakim's 'Let the Rhythm Hit'em' album and Kool G Rap's 'Wanted Dead or Alive' album at the same time while trying to graduate. I don't mind sharing what I know about certain things... I just don't know if have enough stories for a whole thread. Maybe I do...:lol::lol:
But I do appreciate the sentiment, my brother... Salute...

I remember 1212 studios...right there in Jamaica Queens on Archer ave near the 165 station (E train) Those were the good ol days when The Heat Mizer used to spit lyrics.:D (a little!) The late great Paul C produced me and my boy Ty's first demo there. Paul C also helped produce shit for other local South East Queens cats like my boy Mikey D and Johnny Quest, and later on, Prince Po and Pharoahe Monch.Super Lover Cee and Casanova Rud,also Ultramagnetic- Those were the good days of HipHop. RIP Paul C!

RIP POP!
I went to Queens last year for my HS reunion and I bought my girl down to Jamaica Center to show her downtown Jamaica. While on the bus, I was thinking the same thoughts. I wonder if those who could make a difference there, would if they actually knew the significance of that space. A WHOLE LOT OF SIGNIFICANT HIP HOP came out of there!:smh:
