Imagine the force of the kick landing too ... as Cormier was sort of stationary and leaning forward when the kick came up top and staggered him. Wild finish with him backpedalling off-balance and Jones adding the additional strikes too ...

I remember when I was a kid and one of my karate instructors
indicated that a proper place kick, would be the equivalent
of getting hit by a baseball bat with wind up swing.

And Jones head-kick exemplifies that analogy.

What's crazy too ... if you're fighting (street or regulated) and connect with a punch or kick ... often you don't even feel it ... it just lands so clean. You'd think you'd hurt your hand, shin, or foot ... but no problems at all. Best punch I ever landed in a street fight was one I should have broken my hand on pure chin / jaw. Nope. Hand felt good ... their face didn't ...

Right he braced for a leg kick perfectly only to have that shit come up stairs...man I was thinking he didn't even have to land those strikes...if he wanted to embrasses dude he could've just stood there and watched him fall and posed like Ali over Liston...that shit would've been epic

Jones a fool with them feet...It was tripping me out how he was able to get those kicks off so cleanly being that close...I was like, "Daniel time that shit and powerbomb the fuck outta his ass", I'm guessing that never happens in the cage like that...

GDamn ... from the first fight in January 2015 ...

Agreed. That would have been incredible if he landed that instant headkick KO like Edson B' on Terry Etim years back. Shows the toughness and fight in DC ... took the head kick ... the trip ... the body kick ... then the ground & pound to be stopped.

What's really interesting watching the evolution of MMA wrestling over the years is the adaptations that have been made. Cormier used to style on heavyweights and toss them around. He's got that division 1 / Olympic pedigree. Whereas Jones has junior college experience, and has fought lighter guys at light-heavyweight. Really interesting seeing how their styles contrast(ed) ... Jones being younger, taller, better reach & doesn't have the miles on his body like Cormier does who's almost a decade older.

Yea like that, but that did show Daniel ain't no punk bitch...

Even that chick thy caught cyborg....man imagine that gal in the bar after a bud light vs another chick or even a dude....she would keep coming

No. YOURE delusional. Youve allowed Danas lying ass and the average white trash internet bigoted fan to skew your perception. Ty fought a great fight.. To stuff a BJJ and ground specialist 20 times and manage to engage cautiously and land punches strategically is fucking impressive. He engaged and fought.. and everytime i throw a hook he would have to stuff a take down... If a white fighter would have had a similar performance he would be heralded as smart and strategic.. Ty gets labeled boring because you cats insist he fight like a mindless savage. When he kicks ass they say he is a boring personality and thats why he wont get a huge payday...When he fights a smart fight they say hes fights are boring... but the minute he gets his ass kicked they gonna say he doesnt perform when it counts so he cant get a huge pay day. Its all bullshit. And Danas criticism is laughable... same piece of shit that publicly shits on Bones for "doping" but smiles like a smitten bitch whenever anyone mentions Brocks overrated, barely 500 ass as he is still suspended for juicing. Same Dana who tough talked GSP who made him a shit ton of cash and swore he would never fight for the company again. Wake up man.

I agree with everything you've said about Dana, and disagree with almost everything you said about T-Wood.....and this is coming from a guy who desperately wants him to be a fucking octagon god. I literally was sitting at the Tilted Kilt with my buddies before this fight and said "Woodley is either gonna knock the shit out of this guy with the patented Woodley rush followed by a two punch combo, or this is going to be the most boring fight to a decision of the night". There is a reason why the entire arena was booing this fight and the reason was it was not entertaining. Unfortunately, this is his style and its only gotten more pronounced as he has become more successful. He's essentially a one trick pony that is so absurdly athletically gifted that his one trick has brought him the championship. Like I said, I agree with your criticism of Dana but what I will give him credit for is calling out boring fights, or fighters. He has been mad consistent with that, with the exception of GSP, but I may be in the minority with my GSP criticisms... Dana has always been a huge proponent of guys getting out there and putting on a good show for the fans. He wants guys to fight. They don't have to go out there like Robbie Lawler and stand square in the pocket every fight and trade, but they gotta give the fans something to be excited about, and sadly imo Ty doesn't do that with enough consistency as champion.

Yeah - she's tough and proven in the sport. Definitely outmatched and outclassed in there versus Cyborg ... but didn't get embarassed and stopped in 30 - 60 seconds. Definitely has put her time in ... fighting for many organizations over the years ...

I doubt they match them up. The UFC is very racist and gives white fighters every opportunity to get a title but make the black fighters take the toughest road. The Sterling-Barao fight is an example. They make him fight a catchweight fight against the guy that dominated the class above him? That was ridiculous but Sterling still won. GSP was more "boring" than Woodley but they LOVED him.Woodley fought a very intelligent fight against Maia who is the second best in the division. Maia would definitely sub Wonderboy. Now watch them give Gustaffson ANOTHER shot.

The shining example of this is Chael Sonnen..... This mofo has to be the most unworthy cac, to be given multiple title shots......

Crazy to think how much money he's made over the years. 2 fights with Silva / 1 fight with Jones / the popular podcast / Bellator fight and broadcast work / Fox Sports 1 panel work previously / some ESPN panel work / that Submission Underground organization.

Bisping is even worse IMO. Jacare and Romero were beating everybody. Neither of them got a title shot while both Rockhold and Bisping got shot without fighting either. This is a big reason why the Middleweight division is so fucked up. Never have two clear title contestants fight each other. That messes up the big matchups for later. So instead of having Rockhold- Jacare/Romero fight, they have Rockhold fight for the title and the top 2(Romero/Jacare) fight each other. So then Rockhold wins it and loses it in his first fight and now Bisping won't even fight a contender.Jacare and Romero are old and with USADA probably won't be anywhere near what they were.

Whenever possible, the UFC matches up bruthas to fight each other. Look at the percentage of bruthas in the UFC and look at how many have another brutha on their record. I

Yeah - that fight with Overeem wasn't a good look upon Lesnar's return. Alistair showed him the power, striking experience & technique really quickly. Arianny was ready to bust it wide open for The Reem and have a few children though ...

Like I said, Overeem is strong as -- if not stronger than Brock at that size. Once Brock found out he couldn't manhandle him, his entire demeanor changed. Overeem stuffed that takedown and Brock in his head was like :eek:

But this would be a big payday and probably the most watched UFC fight ever. Even if Jones loses, it wouldn't affect his legacy because it would be the Conor affect of just giving up a size advantage.

Yeah - it would be interesting to see the contracts and PPV buyrates for Jones & Lesnar respectively. See how they stack the card around them.

Looking back ... after that battle with diverticulitis ... I wonder if Lesnar ever regrets taking that fight with Overeem upon losing his title a year prior? Only took Reem half a round to stop him.
