This is annoying. There are absolutely some people who didn't like the show and were never gonna like the show because they reimagined the characters as minorities (except Fred since Kaling is obsessed with white dick). But the shit also wasn't funny. You can get past the racist dickheads if you're putting out a quality program. It wasn't. It was written like the writers were writing for other writers. Velma is a beloved character because she was brilliant and really the glue that held everything together. Like Penny from Inspector Gadget. Or Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series. They should've leaned into that instead of making her some awkward ass angsty teen fighting her hormones not knowing if she wants to fuck Fred or Daphne. People wanna see the mysteries solved and laugh along the way. The Wednesday series showed the way. Focus on the story and let the character develop throughout. They didn't stray far from what we knew Wednesday Addams to be.
