For the new players.

The Division | Player Stats - Firearms, Stamina, Electronics

Basic Firearms, Stamina, Electronics Breakdown

The Division Breaks MULTIPLE Sales Records for Ubisoft.

It's officially the BEST-SELLING GAME in the company's ENTIRE (30-year) history.

In just 1 week..... The Division has OUTSOLD ALL previous versions of Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, WatchDogs, Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon.

And it's the Number #2 BEST-SELLING ** New Franchise** game in the HISTORY of video games, behind Activision's Destiny in 2014.

:itsawrap:

I finished the game yesterday, still a little confused by the story. But i had a lot of fun with this game, It's my GOTY so far. I wished there was more enemy types, and random encounter locations. On to the dark zone.

:gun01:

Man some of the reviews on this game haven't been kind at all. I think I'm going to pass on this. Hell I still haven't bought Metal Gear year.
I will say that all the talk of this game, made me decide to play through every Gears of War game on the Xbox One.

Gears with a tactical and rpg aspect is the best example I can give you of what you're be getting into. Some of the reviewers cons are warranted but if you're not into rpg's and multiplayer you're not going to like it. Moving around an empty map is boring and theirs few random events. For a new IP it's a very good first shot going forward with this franchise.

That's one of the examples I can agree with. hopefully when the expansion comes and they continue to update it they will fix the empty map and add more enemies.

Damn IGN gave it a OK 6.7 score review.:smh:

I'm tempted to get this

I have learned to not trust IGN review scores, a game that they give a ok score to is usually better than they say.

maybe they weren't paid enough for the review lol

^^^ Anyone need a laugh?? :dunno:

I’ve taken the liberty of ‘copy & pasting’ some of the BEST & MOST HILARIOUS responses I’ve read today on Reddit.. in response to this IGN Review/Score of The Division. (screennames withheld)

Enjoy! :D
————————————
Germany gave it a 8.5/10

All the foreign IGN writers gave it at least an 8.0+ or better.

————————————
The IGN reviewers main complaint was he could not go from ‘main mission’ to ‘main mission’ because he wouldn’t be leveled-up enough.

And he didnt want to do ANY side missions, and there wasn’t enough fighting in the streets. :smh:

————————————
The guy said "...for a city of eight million that’s supposedly just been mortally wounded by a terror attack and subsequently overrun by multiple gangs of militarized fanatics, the streets are suffocatingly calm."

What were you expecting, Escape from New York?

Did you not see the HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of bodybags lining the goddamn streets and subways? And that's only the bodies for which CERA actually had bodybags!

In some places you can literally see a pile of a dozen bodies covered up by nothing but a tarp.
The streets are calm because NINETY PERCENT OF THE CITY IS DEAD. :hmm:

————————————
So basically he played an RPG………… without expecting any RPG elements. :hmm:

————————————
Oh my god, these people get paid for this shit?!

This guy got in a Third-person shooter with a good deal of RPG and MMO elements in it, and complained that he had to 'level himself' in order to play missions successfully?

Did they just give the person who reviews the shooters this game and expected him to review it justly?

————————————
This is just ONE thing that shows he doesn't understand the game at all.

The whole thing about having to do side missions and encounters to level up... IT'S AN RPG! THAT'S WHAT YOU DO! It's based around quests!

This idiot apparently functions off of some bizarre alien logic where you can criticize a game for being too much like an MMO in that you have to do quests to level and can't do the dungeons back to back, and then in the same breath criticize it for not having a fully-fleshed out "endgame" like an MMO does.

————————————
IGN doesnt get paid for their reviews. They get paid for advertising.

When they get paid a lot in advertisement money by lets say... ubisoft.... they generally favor their games come 'review' time.

————————————
So basically, there’s not enough ‘Call of Duty’ in the game for his liking. :dunno:

————————————
So they didn't pay IGN enough for a good review I guess.
But EVOLVE is better than this game, huh? Get the fuck out. :hmm:

ON A SIDENOTE: HERE’s THE PROOF…

Vince Ingeneto, the IGN reviewer gave The Division a 6.7 score :smh:
http://www.ign.com/games/evolve-turtle-rock/ps4-20010960

(That's way too low, imo. :hmm:)

But last year, this SAME GUY actually gave 2K Evolve a 9.4 score :smh::hmm::smh:
http://www.ign.com/games/evolve-turtle-rock/ps4-20010960

————————————
I'm just going to accept the fact this guy never got out of Brooklyn :yes:

————————————
cant spell ignorant… without IGN :roflmao::lol:

I love RPGs but hate multiplayer. Yeah this doesn't sound like my thing. These multiplayer only games are killing me.

I would've liked to see gametrailers take on the game...there are some games IGN rated low that gametrailers gave decent scores to which made me take a chance on em before the days of twitch or checking out metacritic (for me @ least)...assassin's creed for starters...some said it was repetitive but I loved playing that game

you are not forced to play multiplayer...you literally can play thru the entire game on your own...you are going up against AI most of the time unless you CHOOSE to team up w/ other players to STILL go up against AI or you're in the dark zone in which case you'll encounter other players and more AI

^^^ THIS. Exactly.

I like GameTrailers 'review system' much better than IGNs... I usually agree with their perspective on most games... But I checked YouTube all day and couldn't find any of their stuff for this game. :dunno:

In my opinion, IGN relies too much on these game developers flying their staff out to 'remote locations'... to spend time playing their titles WAY BEFORE the 'general public' gets their hands on it.

But when that doesn't happen (and also if the publishers don't buy a ton of ads on their site, in advance) they generally have a bad habit of 'shitting' on their games. (Like they did to Ubisoft in this case)

How does IGN give the BEST SELLING game in Ubisoft's entire 30-year history... a lousy 6.7? :hmm:

Yet give that bullshit 'Evolve' game a 9.4? :smh:

That don't even make no cotdamn sense. :smh:

Most gamers stopped playing Evolve just 1 week after it dropped.
