Damn IGN gave it a OK 6.7 score review.
Man some of the reviews on this game haven't been kind at all. I think I'm going to pass on this. Hell I still haven't bought Metal Gear year.
I will say that all the talk of this game, made me decide to play through every Gears of War game on the Xbox One.
Gears with a tactical and rpg aspect is the best example I can give you of what you're be getting into. Some of the reviewers cons are warranted but if you're not into rpg's and multiplayer you're not going to like it. Moving around an empty map is boring and theirs few random events. For a new IP it's a very good first shot going forward with this franchise.
I have learned to not trust IGN review scores, a game that they give a ok score to is usually better than they say.
That's one of the examples I can agree with. hopefully when the expansion comes and they continue to update it they will fix the empty map and add more enemies.
maybe they weren't paid enough for the review lol
^^^ Anyone need a laugh??
I’ve taken the liberty of ‘copy & pasting’ some of the BEST & MOST HILARIOUS
responses I’ve read today on Reddit.. in response to this IGN Review/Score of The Division. (screennames withheld)
Enjoy!

————————————
Germany gave it a 8.5/10
All the foreign IGN writers gave it at least an 8.0+ or better.
————————————
The IGN reviewers main complaint was he could not go from
‘main mission’ to
‘main mission’ because he wouldn’t be leveled-up enough.
And he didnt want to do ANY
side missions, and there wasn’t enough fighting in the streets.
————————————
The guy said "...for a city of eight million that’s supposedly just been mortally wounded by a terror attack and subsequently overrun by multiple gangs of militarized fanatics, the streets are suffocatingly calm."
What were you expecting, Escape from New York?
Did you not see the HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of bodybags lining the goddamn streets and subways? And that's only the bodies for which CERA actually had bodybags!
In some places you can literally see a pile of a dozen bodies covered up by nothing but a tarp.
The streets are calm because NINETY PERCENT OF THE CITY IS DEAD.
————————————
So basically he played an RPG………… without expecting any RPG elements.
————————————
Oh my god, these people get paid for this shit?!
This guy got in a Third-person shooter with a good deal of RPG and MMO elements in it, and complained that he had to 'level himself' in order to play missions successfully?
Did they just give the person who reviews the shooters this game and expected him to review it justly?
————————————
This is just ONE thing that shows he doesn't understand the game at all.
The whole thing about having to do side missions and encounters to level up... IT'S AN RPG! THAT'S WHAT YOU DO! It's based around quests!
This idiot apparently functions off of some bizarre alien logic where you can criticize a game for being too much like an MMO in that you have to do quests to level and can't do the dungeons back to back, and then in the same breath criticize it for not having a fully-fleshed out "endgame" like an MMO does.
————————————
IGN doesnt get paid for their reviews. They get paid for advertising.
When they get paid a lot in advertisement money by lets say... ubisoft.... they generally favor their games come 'review' time.
————————————
So basically, there’s not enough
‘Call of Duty’ in the game for his liking.
————————————
So they didn't pay IGN enough for a good review I guess.
But EVOLVE is better than this game, huh? Get the fuck out.
ON A SIDENOTE: HERE’s THE PROOF…
Vince Ingeneto, the IGN reviewer gave The Division a 6.7 score

(That's way too low, imo.

)
But last year, this
SAME GUY actually gave 2K Evolve a 9.4 score

————————————
I'm just going to accept the fact this guy never got out of Brooklyn

————————————
cant spell ignorant… without IGN
