Tom Clancy's The Division 2 March 15th, 2019 PC, XBOX ONE, PS4

there is no single player campaign so you'll be waiting for a while to hear about it...but ya I would like to see an official review as well even tho I'm leaning toward it if I can get it for $30 w/ reward points etc. I agree @ needing a whole clip to take down a person...I just realized that's why dude was able to take on those 3 guys and dare them to shoot him as a result of his rank

Hold up.... I thought that you could play the game by yourself and that the Dead zones were for multiplayer head to head battles. I know that when I played the beta, I was by myself... but other players were in my world.

Man.. First Street Figther 5 without an arcade mode and now this shit. :hmm:

ok...I guess you can consider that a single player campaign

It's open co-op. You can run in gun solo or crew up with friends.

does it have to be played online?
or can i build my stats up before hitting online play?

If the xp system is like the standard mmorpg, you'll get the same xp points whether you're with a teammate or not. Why not have a few buddies helping you level up?

There is a Single Player "missions" which you can consider the campaign/story just like in the beta, however since you can play those missions with other players they consider it "online/multiplayer". But rest assured that the regular world not the Dark Zone is for you alone or with your squad/partner. The Dark Zone is the place to interact with other squads and such. The beta is just like the actual game just a small slice of it. So you can build your stats before going into the Dark Zone with everyone else.

Also for anyone pre-ordering Amazong Prime members get 20% off all games and movies.

Ok I feel a little better about the game now.

I havent played shoot em up video games in years
I would be the one crew member that dies 5 minutes into the game

I need practice

Looks cool but I'm not into having to put on a headset and play with people. And usually the single player campaigns are weak in these multiplayer games. I'll probably skip this

oh there going to be lots of "Leeroy Jenkins" types fucking things up for people who like to plan out strategies and things like that lol

na I ain't gonna fuck it up for crews tho...if I do some knucklehead shit it'll be for self cuz I heard if you go rogue then ya whole squad does...one of the reasons I'm on the fence about the game...w/ GTA I can have an open line of communications or sometimes roll w/ BGOL but keep silent if I'm tired or not in a talking mood or just play completely solo...but this game seems like it relies heavily on co-op play for the best experience

You can only go Rogue in darkzone, once you die you lose it and the person who kills you collect the bounty.

Anyone rocking gaming headsets in here? I was at Target looking at Turtle Beach products and was on the fence about grabbing one. I had it in my cart, then took it back out, then put it back in...I definitely want to use one because I can't blast my television because I have neighbors, and I know it'll have some gaming benefits, especially for The Division. Are there any users here that swear by gaming headsets and would recommend one?

I use the turtle beach stealth 500x, I've never had an issue with them and they are completely wireless. On other forums I've read that the Astro A50s are really nice. The Astros aren't fully wireless tho.

Tried to play Black Ops with the wife. Where she used to just push x and jump right in it takes her to a ps store sign up page (even tho she's signed in under my account). Under my profile it says I cannot activate my PS4 as the primary one because I already did it on another system (but I didn't, I only have 1 ps4...i i do have 2 PS3's tho...) but that's not true. Had her go under her settings and deactivate the ps4 from there, bounced back to mine- still no work. Tried to log onto sony page and do it from web but it says since I recently deactivated I have to wait 6 months (!!!???) before I can do this from online again?? Ready to take this bullshit back WTF

What skill were most of you using during the beta? I mostly went with the turret. It helped out the most. The riot shield was ok. Didn't use the health stimulant much until the last day of the beta.

Ubisoft: Don't expect day-one reviews of Tom Clancy's The Division

Servers go live for the games press at the same time as the public

Tom Clancy's The Division launches next week and Ubisoft is advising that reviewers will get copies the same time as the general public, meaning day-one reviews of the game will be unlikely.

"It's impossible for us to populate the servers in a way that would adequately replicate playing The Division on launch day," Ubisoft said. Therefore, "reviewers will start playing the game along with everyone else when it's released."

Servers for The Division will go live at midnight, Australian time March 8, which is 8 a.m. March 7, ET. Ubisoft is implying that will leave little time for the gaming press to generate a complete review, particularly one that includes a significant multiplayer component. The game, says Ubisoft, "was always designed to be a seamless online experience, giving players the option play solo or a group."

However, "We anticipate there may be some impressions posted online within the first few days of launch that were based on experiences within The Division Beta," Ubisoft said.

The Division held an open beta at the end of January that drew more than 6.4 million participants, a figure that Ubisoft called a record-breaker for this console generation. Polygon's impressions of the beta may be read here.

Ubisoft's review advisory, while somewhat unusual for a major publisher, is likely influenced by the harsh criticism it took in 2014 over the review conditions it set for Assassin's Creed Unity, a game that launched with many problems. Ubisoft gave advance copies to the press on the condition that their reviews would not be published until noon of the launch day, for a heavily marketed game that many in the public had pre-ordered and would be picking up 12 hours earlier.

In response to that controversy, Ubisoft promised it would be "changing the way we work with reviewers," and offer consumers "open betas or other early access to some games, all so that they have the information they need and want."

Tom Clancy's The Division, announced at E3 2013, launches March 8 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
