Streaming TV costs are now higher than cable packages, says a new analysis. It follows warnings that a “crash” was on the way – a day that has now arrived.

The report says that after price rises by Apple TV+, HBO Max, Disney, Hulu, and others, the total cost of a basket of popular streaming TV services has now hit $87 per month …

The streaming crash has now happened

As little as a year ago, a popular set of streaming services added up to a total cost of $73 per month – compared to $83 for an equivalent cable package. But the latest round of streaming price increases has pushed that cost to $87, says a Financial Times analysis, making it more expensive than cable.

That’s interesting cause I’m able to see all those companies content absolutely free on free99.com, I even get to see pay per views, and movies that are still in theatres, as well as all sports for absolutely free. I love the internet I wish it was around since I was born

Indeed.

And when one goes down a thousand others take their place.

Someone posted a link to thousands of IPTV providers so we got plenty of options when their day comes.
Don’t be the guy that leaves the bread crumbs for the cops to find the culprits of the heist.. either the cops do their job great and solve it or it goes as an unsolved mystery, but never leave breadcrumbs to make their job easier.. so delete those free99 sites name please

I have the fire stick also, I have a hook up to get all the channels in the world through an app for free. I have to keep that secret because of the hook up source. But the funny thing about all of this I barely watch TV.

It’s better to have than to have without

They forgot to add the price of INTERNET...which is STILL controlled by the cable companies....

The only way to be free is to STOP watching tv....but people won't or can't do that....

So here you have it

No, there’s some people who could do without TV I know I can. The last binge television I really watch religiously was The Walking Dead, after a few years of that I was done.

Some on these companies gonna have to consolidate. Cause it is about it be over for them.

Y’all niggas be watching tv like that??
Consolidate? They’re making money. Y’all gonna learn something about this economy: you’re sucking your own dick.

Not exactly… cable is all or nothing. Streaming is a la carte. I don’t have to get all the services, and I can cance/pause at will.

that being said, I’m going all in on Plex. I acquire what I want and it’s all in one place. I pay/have access to the major services but it’s always a hassle to find something. im getting some 20TB drives this holiday season and going ham. I used 4TB of data last month alone…. So many 4K rips

my isp is offering 10Gbps for $50. :itsawrap:

Good stuff in here

Greedy fucks all wanted that Netflix bread. All had to create their own. Now some of the dumb asses losing that licensing money that they started running up in Netflix for. After some of these services fade away, all that will be left is sheep paying an arm/leg for ad-based streaming.

It's crazy because right now YouTube is watched more on TV than any of these streaming services. Indie content is the future and AI really is going to help with that. Legacy media ain't going to compete with these tech companies.

Can you lose customers and still make money?
Bro. Are you ok? I noticed that you have become more unhinged. Nothing you type makes any sense. That wasn't always the case. What's going on?

If your business depends on customers losing customers isn't good for business. No. Losing customers is not the business model a business wants in the long term. You can charge more to the customers you do have and make money but that is not sustainable.

Netflix - 2 million customers lost in 2023
Disney Plus -11 million customers lost in 2023
HBO Max - 1.8 million customer lost n 2023
